So merging furniture still works. I notice you can't cross two furnitures center points. And I'm not sure you've mentioned that on PC youneed to select the bowl ontop of the furnitre while holding the "alt" button. I' not sure what the switch button would be.

Yes it still works, might ba somthing specific your doing that is not working, try on other items to test it out
