FYI: Your E-Commerce system seems to not be set up correctly or the system is down. Keep your sponsors and sources of income outside of any decision making process. It will always be more difficult in short and medium term, but it will pay off tremendously in the long term, and people NEED a functioning news outlet.
It's the trust that is built that is really important in the journalism industry. So yeah, Kudos to the team from staying off of revenue streams that may affect their journalism work and keeping that independent streak! Such a rare thing in the world today.
The TLDR team are one of the few media outlets that can offer unbiased, independent reporting that is not influenced by corporate interests or political agendas 🙌🏻

It's the kind of journalism you want to get a good idea of what's happening in the world. Then again there is also the bias of not publishing certain topics due to blind spots or ideology, which makes the whole situation trickier, always be vigilant.
Everyone has a political agenda and baked-in biases, the idea that new media somehow magically avoids this is one of the big problems with how new media is consumed. TLDR are all young Brits, likely college-educated and centre-left or left-wing, with biases towards liberalism, progressivism, social democracy, social justice, regulation of laissez-faire capitalism and corporations, protection of public assets and globalism. Just as an example, their coverage of Brexit was extremely critical and shot through with irony and cynicism.
What's really crazy about advertisers not wanting their ads on videos about weighty topics os that these exact same advertisers will gladly put their ads on cable TV news

Honestly, I started watching TLDR UK almost as a sleep aid/thing that can fill air while I get work done, and since then TLDR has become one of my main sources of news and information about current events. Keep up the great work.
If us Americans are so valuable for you, then bring back TLDR US! Maybe just change up the style to be cheaper. Try doing a lesser budget series on the upcoming American election with shorter videos that might permeate American algorithms more easily. I really like that you cover America on Global while the US channel is on hiatus, but let's get it back going sooner than later!

Been a subscriber to every channel for quite a while, since before you quit your job, you sold the office furniture, and my work hat has Australia, the gold UK pin, Slovakia, Germany, the EU, England,, and you guys sent me a free Russia one (pre Ukraine war), but it hangs out in a box.ive actually had a fee people at work ask me about the pins with shoes. Anyway, i love what you all do, enjoy the bonus nebula content. Now, id be remiss if i didn't notice you said you were hiring. I love you guys and it sounds like a great, transparent place to work, even if it may be a commission based research article a month or something. I live in Texas, so probably not easy to work with. Im not used to doing a cv in a comment. From Colorado, grew up in Australia and north Yorkshire (Harrogate, if you're curious). Have a BA in political science, work as a baker, used to manage a bakery for 14 years before the owners retired. Long story short, id love to contribute, even if you don't reply, i think you all do great work.

The big reason i can see people wanting them is that rockets are a hugely expensive way of of getting things to orbit To lift material via a rocket it takes a lot of fuel as you have to lift the fuel as well as the payload, ( the vast bulk of the energy used is to lift the fuel and the rocket -- with an elevator you only have to lift the elevator and its payload. This is exponentially cheaper. Its also handy in re returning zero g mfged materials. That said, its not gonna happen this century

There is a market for controversial topics that is more intense that the market for bland. A retail store will have top shelves and bottom shelves that and leave eye level for the money makers. For the record, I am a 10 year veteran analyst and I think you do a more insightful and fair analysis than almost any other outlet out there. And although fair, you guys don't let dictators, populists and grifters get away with false claims, deceptive narratives, etc.. based on some misplaced idea of being absolutely neutral and lie-fact agnostic like so many others have done.
This has kind of been answered already, in a reply to a comment asking a similar question. A Premium view gives them a bigger chunk of revenue than non premium. I believe Jack said 10% of UA-cam revenue. Significantly more per Premium view than ad supported view. I've paraphrased a little bit, as the UA-cam app doesn't allow you to copy text from comments, so I can't quite remember the exact words used by Jack.

Nothing wrong with making money as long as you you are not bought and unbiased. I don't mind political or news channels making money either as long as they are transparent what their biases are and who pays them. It's a small thing to ask but surprisinly (or maybe not so surprisinly) hard to find those channels that are honest.
i love history and so it would be of great value to me if this newspaper could be a sort of history of the year with references between the articles that highlight what led to an event, decision etc. also decent quality paper and ink please.

I feel they are biased slightly to the left but its very negligible, so i trust it as a unbiased new source as a conservative.
