What a day Steve. You must have been frozen 🥶 Fantastic shots of the hills and waterfalls. Great to look back on once your back at your digs for the night. 😴
I was there in the end of May 2016. I was 63 and I took thee same walk. It was so beautiful. Blue skies und quite warm. Absolutely great. I'll never forget it.
I enjoyed that as usual Steve, rather you than me walking along that track. Glad you had a nice & "wee room" , pity you were just your cell 🤣 Thanks again Steve from me in Irvine 😊😊
About 50 years ago I drove via Fort William and the Glen Nevis to Gairloch coming from Rotterdam and those times you didn't have internet and much less information. If I had known this all, I had stopped there and took a few days to invest. So I'm glad you showed this to me. Thanks Steve!!
I recognised the rout to ‘Ben Nevis’ the accent is spectacular, was there about forty years ago, with snow ❄️ the vistas are breathtaking! You have gone that extra mile again Steve, that walk to Steall Falls and back looked treacherous, but the sight of the falls was stunning 🤩 and worth risking you neck for! not sure about that hideous tight rope contraption spanning the river!! that’s a bridge too far I fear 😧 as for the Hotel Cell room, phew! no way! looking forward to part 2. you are now our own Scottish (Braveheart) without a doubt! “👌” 🤗
Thx man we went to scotland almost 15 years ago and we kinda stumbled upon that carpark and walked up to the waterfall. I remember the toursists with italian loafers having to turn around halfway for obvious reasons (like the scottish will warm you for nothing...) Couldn't remember where it was but your video made it clear it was this one recognized the sign warning for the proper shoes, we both looked at each other and said that should be fun. Thx for the video, now I can sleep again knowing which waterfall it was.😊
Enjoyed our walk today, Steve. My heart was in my throat a few times on the narrow, what looked like ledges with steep drops on the side . Beautiful scenery. 🇨🇦
Hey Steve, I know this wasn’t one that you had planned to do, however, for me it was one of the best. What an incredible set of views that we were able to see you today. Thanks again for sharing with us. Be blessed.✝️
Loved that video, what a difference in the weather, typical Scottish day. Paths were mental. Loved the hotel you stayed in, I booked in there before but had to cancel due to COVID..grrrr. keep up the great work.
Always enjoy the videos of places that I've been, however the ones I enjoy the most are the ones of places I haven't-like the Steall Gorge and Waterfall. Brilliant. I see "The Fort" hasn't changed much though!😀
Steve, I truly enjoy going with you virtually on your explorations. And this one was magnificent. I was reminded of my small group walking tour in the Outer Hebrides a few years back. We also had some treacherous walks in drech weather. However, I also felt a bit fearful for you being out there alone. I'd feel damn badly if something went wrong. I'd be a little less concerned if someone else went with you on explorations like this one. Stay safe.
This was stunning, but certainly won't be trying it lol.you look frozen Steve bet you'll be glad to be home. Glad you found somewhere to stay . Thanks again Steve.
Wow, absolutely magnificent! Stunning views, but that walking path terrified me. It would be better in summer but there’s never a guarantee that it wouldn’t rain and be treacherous. You do the hiking for us! The police station repurposing is very clever. The “cell” was charming. I have to wonder what people got up to in Fort William that required so many cells 😂.
Hi,Steve. I stumbled across one of you videos a couple of weeks ago - they are fabulous. Really enjoyed this one, and I look forward to more. Keep up the great work!
Was there last May for my 70th birthday. Spectacular! My son went over the bridge but had to come back again as, at 5ft 2ins, there was no way I was attempting that!

Oh my goodness - that cell at the end!!! Thank you for persevering with the weather Steve and showing us such a magnificent waterfall. I've driven a few miles along Glen Nevis and I have pictures of my dog playing in the river, but I've never driven till the road peters out. It was so nice to see it again.
Fort William's on the "would love to see" list already - as you say for the location - but I don't think I fancy trying that cable bridge, even in better weather! Cute looking little B&B though, hope we get to find out how both the "B"s were in the morning!
There are adventures and then there ADVENTURES. I think this one comes under the latter heading. Maybe you need a hiking pole for trails like that one. I liked the overnight accommodation too. Thanks for sharing.

I remember getting to the foot of the Falls and being attacked by a swarm of midges 🦟, not a problem you would of had 😁, I ran out of there sharpish! Beautiful place, the Glen Nevis camp site is also worth a mention, excellent site 👍

Hi Steve, Although weather wise it was horrendous for you, it still was a fantastic video. You did extremely well given the conditions to bring us more of the Scottish wild and natural beauty. As always Steve you are very professional, informative and clear. Well done!!
Nice video Steve, glad you ventured out despite the weather. Steall Falls is my favourite short walk anywhere in the world. Definitely the most bang for your buck, and the wire bridge isn't as bad as it looks :)
Along a treacherous path in a hoolie with our Steve, that's certainly an adventure! Then he ends up in a cell! Glen Nevis is amazing, but can be quite midgy in summer. I wonder where Steve is going in part 2.
Done that walk and love the falls - a few dodgy areas en route - Also done that Gondola as I love heights - The top section of the Eiffel Tower is the worst as external and cramped.

As John Muir was a Scotsman, I'm guessing it's not a coincidence that his namesake trail goes to a place that has such a strong resemblance to Yosemite Valley? While you may have run out of luck when it came to the weather, the 'loch up' in Ft William looked like a nice place to, um, dry out!

I'm relocating to fort william in March and can't wait!! I love the Highlands and love driving through the Highlands. Its magical! Can I ask why you don't like Fort William?
Hey Julie, I just don't think it's a very attractive town, but don't get me wrong I'd live there in a MINUTE! It has the perfect location. I'm not dissing it for not being attractive though, it doesn't need to be - it's more that I know a lot of tourists have gone there with Fort William as a destination, and if they don't get out and take advantage of the surrounding area, they are not seeing much in the town itself. All the best with the move - I'm proper jealous!
Hey this is a very emotional walk for me. A few years back I had a heart condition and I managed to get up to where the walkway is but couldn't get any further. Two year later Id been sorted out with a heart op and I made it all the way to Courour. I sat in that meadow at Steall and cried (before doing the bridge both ways- you pussy)!
Fantastic Paul! Many congratulations on what must've been a tough road back to fitness! You're smashing it now! And aye, I'll live with the regret of not crossing the bridge :)
Heading up to Fort William from here in the Yorkshire dales first week in March I love my walking but my wife not so keen so have been looking for some short walks in the area and this fits the bill what a cracking walk just hope we have better weather. Great Video thank you so much just subscribed 👍👍
Thank you for doing this video, I have walked this path several times over many years but because I live in the very south of England, haven't been back for nearly 10 years. Lovely to see it hasn't changed a bit 😁

🇨🇦💕
Fantastic Paul! Many congratulations on what must've been a tough road back to fitness! You're smashing it now! And aye, I'll live with the regret of not crossing the bridge :)
I feel guilty for moaning about the wind and cold the other day now I've seen you doing your walk in the wind and driving rain! _Nice one!_ 😀
Haha cheers Roger! The feeling of putting the damp jacket on the next morning for part 2 - yuk!

So glad to have found it at last, and that you've had the pleasure too!
Fantastic video 👍🙂
Well one could say the weather was changeable.....
Great little video, and another place to add to my list next time I fail to get up Ben Nevis due to the cloud base being just above the car park.....
Ha yes! Ben Nevis sure likes to hide away :)
