The scale of destruction in Lahaina appears even worse than what happened to Paradise, California and neighboring communities from the Camp Fire in November 2018. That fire cost 85 lives. The total number of casualties in the Maui fires is as yet unknown.

No exotic weaponry needed. Just dry conditions, fire and high wind, similar to what happened in the Camp Fire that destroyed Paradise, California and several neighboring communities in November 2018.

As I look at this video I can see the condo, Lahaina Roads, where we stayed for three weeks this last May. It is one of the only buildings left standing on Front St. just north of downtown. Lahania was such a great place so full of history dating back to the whaling days. The loss of life is unspeakable.
We were fortunate to visit almost every shop, restaurant and historic site in the area. Little did anyone know that those quaint wooden buildings would be gone in a flash. Even though we're not there it's still hard to fathom the magnitude of this disaster. God bless all those wonderful people we had the pleasure of visiting...

I am a GIS analyst and I have looked at the recent aerial imagery of Lahaina to search for clues as to the source of the fire and the burn pattern. It appears that the fire started in two areas, one just below a power transfer station adjacent to the solar plant and the other one I can not tell because the new imagery does not show it (Google Earth Pro). I have seen video footage from someone who shows the down power lines starting the fire in brush under the lines, so that may be the second ignition source. The fire was indiscriminate, it burned masonry, steel, and wood frame houses. It burned tile, composite and wood shingle roofs. It burned blue things and red, white, and green buildings (and I assume cars, but don't have imagery of the cars to verify). It burned houses with trees right up next to the buildings, and houses that had no surrounding vegetation. The ownership of the houses burned and non-burned is mixed as well. Most of the owners do not have Hawaiian sounding names, burned and not burned. Many Japanese names, but also many European names, owner occupied, listed rentals, some Vietnamese, many properties are trusts. Property values of burned and unburned are also mixed, between 550,000 to 1 million for most of them, excluding the beach front homes. The age of the homes did not appear to matter either. Ages ranging from 1940-s to 2016 construction were burned and unburned. Basically, I see no patterns. I know that fire tornadoes can form in intense heat, and there was enough wind to fuel the fire, and so maybe the irregular burn pattern matches what we see in situations where tornadoes go through a neighborhood and hit and miss houses. Otherwise, if anyone is thinking DEW, then whoever was directing the energy was scribbling and not intentionally hitting or missing any particular target, not to mention that there is clear evidence that the fires were started by downed power lines. Disaster capitalism is real, so maybe they were waiting for disaster to strike so that they could go in and burn the entire place to ashes. I wouldn't discount it, but I can't prove it. I wish someone with direct knowledge of the DEW program would speak up. I don't even see the supposed DEW facility listed in Maui, based on the spatial data I downloaded for DOD property locations.

So, the town of Lahaina is the cause of the fire that burned down the brush all around the west Maui mountains? We heard of flash floods, flash fires but now they say this is a flash drought. They are also saying someone with a hot plate in Lahaina Town might have started the fire or a cigarette caused the fire? Where did the fire start not at the Hyatt Hotel or at Lahaina Shores that'S for sure. Why has no one even mentioned Lahaina shores hotel and Condominiums? Why the fire did not touch their property. Everything on both sides burned to the ground including boats in Lahaina harbor. Something stinks about this fire and it's not the smoke. What stinks is the smoke the county and state are blowing our way saying things like ''Flash Droughts'' Has anyone noticed them saying they're calling this a ''Climate Emergency'' When they say this then watch out for more laws and regulations to be passed along to the taxpayers. They want to discourage anyone from driving a car or traveling by air. This will be only for those who are in compliance with the county and state mandates. Why did the Ukraine people get more money for the people than for our own folk at home here in the state of Hawaii? The Ukraine refugees are more important than the citizens of the US evidently. So many questions and too many experts that make up new Climate Change rules that help the rich to grow richer and the poor to stay even poorer than ever before. Who owns the Hyatt Hotel and Lahaina Shores Hotel and Condominium? The Japanese own most of Maui now including evidently the news. Now that there's a new threat called ''Flash Droughts' the people of Lahaina can expect the new Lahaina town will be built for Hollywood Celebrities to enjoy exclusively. Now Madam Winfrey the talk show magnate can build her Ocean front estate up to code to withstand ''Flash Droughts'' The poor useless towns folk who worked. two jobs to make ends meet are not needed anymore. The digital cashless society will replace them with a digital wallet ID. No need for the poor to work for them unless they are in compliance with the state and county. This fire stinks and did not start the way they will say it did. We can see clearly now who owns Lahaina Town and it's not the poor folk who need to work. The billionaires who own the world make all the decisions now for the lowly who have no say in their future. Don't believe us but when there's no cash then it will be a different world. More Better for the rich but far worse for all who need food and water to survive the coming lockdowns calling for a '' Climate Change Crisis Summit'' The past laws won't apply as they do now. Don't give in to tyranny give your life to Jesus He will find a way out for your escape. This system is falling fast so please be vigilant by watching for the Lord's return 2023.

So very, very sad and inexcusable that Maui County's elected officials were more concerned with filing lawsuits against fossil fuel companies over non-existent climate change impact and making time to make an official resolution supporting the Paris Climate Accord but had no concerns over and no desire to ensure Maui County had adequate fire prevention, fire mitigation and firefighting capabilities in place. Moral of the story is don't vote for liberals that have fallen for the climate change scam if you don't want to risk having your community totally destroyed and dozens of your fellow neighbors unnecessarily killed.
