I just bought a gte 2015 with 170k km but I charged it yesterday and it only says 30km range is that a problem or is it because of the weather it’s colder right now in holland?
@@Drivewithme1 thx. Mine came with version that i can connect to normal socket in the garage, but i want also this one :). I assume bothe can be used for PASSAT GTE
This might be why my car doesn't charge at the TotalEnergies charging boxes in Amsterdam. It attempts to charge it then stops after a minute. Any advice why my GTE malfunctions when I plug it into Type 2 charging box? I read somewhere that it could be firmware
I am sorry but I dont feel like u made the best decission about shell recharge. They charge u €0.35 each session + charged kwh. I have bought myself a vw gte 3 weeks ago and need to charge on public charging stations aswell. I have taken a charging card + free fob at Elec2go. They do not charge you extra each session, they only charge €0.01 extra each kwh. So if u charge 8kwh u pay your usual charging fee, which is around €0.35 + 0.01 per Kwh. I feel like this is much cheaper for hybrids. Ur paying for each charging session which is way more benefit for full EVs Edit; I live in the netherlands aswell, all the up in Groningen. I pay €0.18 p/kwh at a charging station with Elec2go. So a full battery is 9 x 0.18 = €1.62!!
@@sarooshhadi3522 what would you like to know? They send you a charging card. They do not charge any starting fee. All you pay is + €0.01 extra for each charged kwh. This means it's very beneficial for plug-in hybrids cuz we have small batteries. If u drive a full EV this probally wont be beneficial and there will be cheaper alternatives. I charge about 7kwh each day, which means I pay about €1.20 for a full charge. My montly payment for charging is about €20,-
@@Drivewithme1 and there's a problem if the accu is not charged regularity? I mean the battery life is affected or something like that? If you know the answer.
@@Drivewithme1 hi, over the 1 year how many miles have you driven and did your GTE have any issues? how many miles of electric only do you get on a cold day where your car has ice or snow on it?
I just bought a golf GTE and have no idea how to charge it. Really helpful video, thanks a lot!
Glad it helped
Very good content.
I just bought a GTE.
There are a lot of charging options like Vattenfall, why did you choose this one?

Hi. Thx for this. Where did you get the cable?
It came with the car

Hi, i know that the car doesnt fast charge but can you use the fast charge point as a normal charger with a gte?
I believe nor, because with a fast charger there is a additionial connector, so 2 in total. Instead of 1 with the “normal” charger.

Not sticking to a routine. Sometimes once, sometimes 3 times. Depends on my drives, but in lockdown pretty hard to leave the house on a daily basis.

hi, what is the long term reliability of the GTE?
I have mine for almost one year, so too early to have an opinion about long term reliability.
@@Drivewithme1 hi, over the 1 year how many miles have you driven and did your GTE have any issues? how many miles of electric only do you get on a cold day where your car has ice or snow on it?
@@kb8570 I drove around 10.000 km. No issues. On a cold day I get around 37km.
Electrical or not, VW Golf is a wonderful car.
So you pay like 2.30€ for 40 km and need to wait 2 hours? 😆 That's not much better than a diesel.
It's built with commuting to work in mind. Typically 15km or less each way.
