    Watched the whole thing. Great interview. The amount of material online regarding Karl and Nile is criminally low and there needs to be more. Thank you for your service, Ryan! Looking forward to Nile’s new album and seeing them again live soon, hopefully! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

    I remember seeing instructional videos by Karl showing people how to play Nile songs. What a super cool dude. That sort of thing was a really big deal for me as a young metal head guitar player.

    Great interview Ryan. I love how Karl opened that much and the talk was so friendly and interesting at the same time. I wish that you can get Rutan too and Kyle again as the other one was short. Keep it coming 🤘🤘

    August release....holy shit, that's the kind of news I've been waiting weeks to hear as I stalk the band's FB page. Nile is my all time favorite DM band, and Karl is an absolute legend and guitar wizard. So unique. Cannot wait, and just like previous records, first day pre-order here. \m/

    Haha I love how I kinda zoned out but I could still tell you guys were talking about Erik Rutan by the way you were talking about his ears and hearing stuff others don't. Then I went back on the video and was like "YEP I knew it, that's definitely Erik Rutan" I love Erik, he pushes musicians to do better than they think they can, it's no wonder he was sharing the stage with Trey Azagthoth in Morbid Angel multiple times.

    I can't remember using the Invader myself. The Dimebag model does well for a lot expectations --except if you want more mid frequencies, like Black Winter or a "modern" mids sound.

    • @saltpeter7429
      @saltpeter7429 Місяць тому

      I put a Black Winter in the bridge position of my Les Paul standard a few months ago. The stock pups were a lump of bass. Muddy as all get out. I figured the heavy mahogony body would like that high focused black winter thing I had heard about.
      Just picked up a Kramer nite v for my 9 year old daughter. She is into Floyd's, lol ( oh no!).
      The dude I bought it from had put a set of invaders in it.
      Righteous. She digs the nasty metal they bring.( tons of early MELVINS in that kid, she says " Who?" I am proud.)

    I've tried it in my studio.. some guitars that have capacitors tuned into the guitars sound really good its fine tuning and it also depends on your signal chain. need to tune it all together as a system. sometimes the extra highs can take the smoothness out of the saturation but if you have an amp that's less capable you may want the little extra

    I'd love to see what Nile could do with an 8 string. 8 strings have become synonymous with djent and deathcore, and I feel like it's an untapped market for death metal and tech death. The only 2 bands I know of that fit that are archspire and black crown initiate, the latter being disbanded.

    Karl's response to the drop A and the invaders.... kmsl He is the reason why I own a few Splawns. There are 2 of them that I will die with. They are so good that It break my heart to see someone else with them. Imagine a 1 channel amp that does cleans to doom to death metal and blues and does it sooo freaking well. SPLAWN Competition with custom choke and tranny.
