Hi Youwei, As technicalities are involved in applications, it would be best if you could email our technical team at technical.au@kingspan.com for a more customised response for your enquiry. Alternatively, you can provide your contact details, and someone will get in touch with you about it.
You can finish it the same as normal plaster board. Tape and joint only or just tape and joint. If tape and joint only you should seal it. I've used SBR diluted to 3:1 and just roll on before painting
The Kooltherm K17 can be finished in the same manner as conventional plasterboard. This would typically include flushing over the joints and fixings, then painting directly to the plasterboard. You can get in touch with our Technical team at technical.au@kingspan.com for any further information.
It would be best to get in touch with our technical team at technical.au@kingspan.com. Generally the following is used: • Bugle head or plasterboard screw • Nail in nylon anchor • Concrete screw anchor When fixing concrete, masonry or installing over existing linings, adhesive can be used as the primary fixing. Mechanical fixings can be used to hold the boards in position while the adhesive reaches its fully cured strength.
Yes it can. You can download the Installation guide for all details: www.kingspan.com/content/dam/kingspan/kil/campaigns/australia/kingspan-kooltherm-residential-installation-guide-en-au.pdf
I feel this video is not as well made . 1- No indication as how to prepare the walls before installation 2-… the music is so distracting too . Thank you looking forward for a edited and better video
Yet another useful, instructional video virtually destroyed by some dipstick that feels an irritating, interruptive 'musical' backing is needed.
Would it be possible with this video WITHOUT the music.?
Adding music over what we're trying to listen to is really annoying.
Great vid. Thanks.
What *IS* suitable for a wall with moisture penetration?
Music interferes,
How you guys gonna adjust the K17 if substrate was not plumb and level?

Can you use the finish or do you need to plaster this product when in situe
Can I ask, does insulated plaster board need to be plastered over? Or can it just be painted over after the joints have been finished?

how many muppets does it take to fix a sheet of plaster board
Get in there my son 😅
Can plasterboard be attached to an existing painted plastered wall?

Lol music kills it
Your mechanical fixing is not 15 mm from edge lol
Try using a bigger straight edge muppets
Cut the music please.
Bad production
What happens if the wall gets damp? Does it all just fall off?
Hi Libertarian,
We recommend the Kooltherm K17 only be installed against walls which are already externally waterproofed.
If the substrate of your wall has dampness issues than the "installation method" of the plasterboard lining would be the least of your worries.
Most lime mortar walls act like wicks and have some dampness
I hope your product is better than thus video production, absolute embarrassment for a professional company!
