Doc, the Wiss ones were updated to have that tab on the handle so that they don’t slip out of your hands. Just thought you should know. Thanks for the vid!
Go look at the updated version of the Crescent-Wiss Model: CW7T. This appears to be a clone of those, just the grips and colors are different and the locking mechanism looks to be updated.
I have the Fiskars PowerArc Utility Snips (8 Inch) ones which have a similar style on the jaw blades except they are angled similar to the Knipex ones. I have always liked the cutting performance of Fiskars and they don't disappoint. I like the angle to help keep whatever I am cutting out of the way of my hands for longer cuts. They handled cutting through the metal of an HF magnetic parts holder the day before last (probably not a good idea) and didn't seem negatively impacted for cutting open boxes and zip ties for Christmas. I recommend giving them a look and they are usually a bit cheaper than the Klein price you stated to boot.
Doc, I bought the SK heavy duty scissors on your recommendation this year and have gotten a ton of use out of them. I’ll have to check these out as well. Merry Christmas!
Doc, please consider reviewing some Heritage Cutlery scissors under the Klein brand. Many of their products are made in the USA in a small town called Bolivar New York, where I grew up a truly small operation in the southern tier of New York State, which is well known for a long legacy of cutlery.
Is this one? Chomp! Klein Tools Single-serrated Blade Blunt-nose Scissors: Make short work of heavy duty cutting! ua-cam.com/video/ZQ2OXLFxA-E/v-deo.html
Those Kleins look like they would be a good choice to open plastic blister packs. (If you are not going to use a little powered rotary cutter (like the Ryobi USB Lithium one).)
I always hear a lot of good stuff about kai scissors. Would be interesting to see you compare some brands utility scissors. I don’t remember you doing scissors before but i probably just missed it.

Thanks. I’ll check them out.
Looks like a great handle. The other two are disappointing. Thanks Doc 😊
Glad to hear u liked the Klein shears, I thought the same thing about them.

These are basically the current wiss shears but with slightly different handles for klein.
I wonder what the 'titanium coating' actually does if anything. Probably good for marketing?
Durability, sharpness retention, lightweight, and smoother gliding to name a few
A coating can’t make something lightweight, otherwise yes, surface hardness, lubricity.
Rust prevention?
@alexdrockhound9497 not so much

I can't find these anywhere - even on the Klein website. Is there a product number on them?
I just got the SK ones
literally the same as updated the crescent /wiss shears CW7T
In my opinion, Knipex shears which is not in video also it has locking button is the best one.
Check the newest version of the Wiss Crescent Utility Shears. They have a very similar handle to the Klein Tools.
Bessey has a set of siccors as well
Wow, that knipex is surprisingly disappointing. I usually expect really good performance from them.
I think its pretty old, i thought the same thing haha
