I think thrifting those boots is GREAT but anything more than 10 years old is somewhat likely to break on the sole (adhesive or rubber/plastic wise). Since a lot of these boots at the thrift/secondhand are from the 90s be prepared to take them to a cobbler after a few wears. :/ (speaking from VERY unfortunate experiences)

Finally found some cognac leather riding boots at Value Village for $19. No excess trim or buckles. I should be able to keep them forever if I take care of them!
You came at the best time for me, for the past few weeks I've been trying to narrow down my list of shoes to get since I've gone off to college and feel that my wardrobe needs an upgrade. I've personally been attracted to crazy horse brown tone 10 eyelet boots, platform loafers, and mexico 66 leather shoes in a blue or burgundy color way. For a while I was questioning if I should keep it or simple, but honestly I'm over beige/cream colored shoes.
Honestly one of the main reasons I love platforms is because although I love the look of regular heels, especially in boots, I’m so clumsy and have a very hard time walking in them 😅 for me, platforms are a lot easier and more balanced. Plus I just like feeling powerful and tall 😂
I love love love the short moon boots because I can never find a boot that’s casual enough to wear outside in the snow for practical reasons, aside from like a sperry duck boot 🫢 and those are not my style lol But I hate hate HATE the MOON BOOT branding on the side of the original moon boots

i just bought some brown felt clogs from eastland 🤩 idk it’s not everyone’s taste but ive always loved a good clog. they have a beige pair i’m gonna pick up. i’ve had my jadon doc pebbled leather boots for so long but they’re just so heavy i never find myself pulling for them outside of winter although i’m in idaho so they’re absolutely appreciated out in a foot of snow. and granted the leather is so forgiving i can’t imagine myself wearing them if they were a smooth leather finish. way too stiff. you’re so lucky you can fit boys shoes 😭 with my size 11 stompers. i was looking at those same loafers online tho. idk they look so much cuter than a lot of the adult penny loafers on the market but i bought a pair of navy blue cole haans off ebay but i need to stretch em out 😢 a bit too stiff especially on the ankle. i just want a comfy pair of loafers 🥸

I have been thinking about the "nothing is timeless" point you've made in videos and I was thinking about how I use the terms timeless and classic interchangeably. ugh the 8053 docs are one of my dream shoes but ive tried on the smallest size and it's 2 sizes too big and they don't make kids sizes for this model :(( does anyone have any alternatives or should i just bite the bullet and wear big insoles & thick socks with them? im typically like a 34-35 in international sizing (size 4-5 us)
