Not sure what they're doing with what looks to be a mag put into the empty plastic area towards the barrel. If it's a mag holder that's a horrible place for it; you have to flag yourself to get the mag out to load it into the gun. If that's where the mag is supposed to be loaded into, then I'm not sure how that makes sense from a functional standpoint. How do you get the bullets from the mag into the chamber of the gun all the way back towards the shoulder of the guard?
or its just a tool, and tools will get worn down with use. If its just cosmetic its irresponsible to spend time and money replacing parts to cover cosmetic damage.
All it means to me is that they've trained with it. All weapons will have wear. Especially visible if they're not painted in all black.
I like to imagine what it's like being a UN guard here. Months and months of boring token diplomatic guard duty, and oh yeah that one day that Martian Marine sprinted across the border, with a pack of armed MCRN guards tearing after her right up to the line, and requested asylum.
Fantastic scene, upload more of these!
Sure will do, when I have established a broadband connection at my new address. Until then there will be a slight and brief pause until I've got my shit together!
I like how she punctuates her questions...
One of the best scenes in the Expanse, I always have goose bumps when I watch it ❤
One of my favorite TV scenes of all time. The action is credible, and Bobby is the best female protagonist since Ellen Ripley. Frankie Adams was an incredible find, and I hope to see more of her as an actress. 🤩
my drunk butt just commented somewhere else in my private head canon thats Vasquez's great grandma, bad @$$ woman marines? comon only Vasquez carries the torch ie (gonna get $hit done)) long live well written bad @$$ woman, we just hate crappy writing, Frankie Adams was amazing, give us what hollywood calls incells more of her and less of rey or marvel and you'll have our love, we don't want a super powered teenager who magically can whoop all butts we want a proper dang marine or in riplies case a real survior, not some i'm a girl and can beat everyone know everything actress, if you want a woman we love, look at ripleys journey, from victim to....i've faced this before i know what it is follow me or i'm literally trained to take on anything, her and Vasquez before her....give us these characters and we'll like it not just throws snap kicks in heels girls like hollowood does, give us good writing and good characters and we'll love you not this pandering $h11t.... Sigourney Weaver is still a goddess to me 35 years later so keep your crap away from the legacy she helped build

Bobbie is bad ass! Great character - great actor!!!
Bobbi should have recorded every bit of those debriefs and "evaluations"
You know, early on I found Bobbie really annoying. But the show forced me to love her by handling her so goddamn well.
I just am not a fan of the gung-ho soldier type, but we all know they exist. The show took such a person and made her go through realistic paces, grow and learn as a person, and along the way made you see that she was a well-trained, effective badass who even had a personality underneath.
That's what the Expanse does with almost all its main characters: introduces them with all the aspects of a two-dimensional trope, then subverts those expectations as characters grow and experience challenges to their worldview.
@@CaffeinePanda_The Expanse Effect._
Shakes her hand after walking out the door.....gotta get the feeling back. Love it!
Reminds me of Juliana Crane requesting asylum in the American Reich in Man in the High Castle.
By sheer coincidence, I saw both episodes on the same day. Was like Deja Vu (in fact literally it was today I’m only on this video cuz I wanted to see if anyone else made the comparison)
We need more Expanse!!!
Bobbie defects is such an understated title 😂 She is awesome.
I miss this show so much. I wish it had gotten renewed, it was starting to get really wild!
It would have been really hard for them to do the time skip without a full recasting.
This scene still gives me the chills
God i miss this... This was a truly outstanding masterpiece
COD Infinite Warfare was one of my favorite games ever and I’m so glad to have discovered this show.
That guy was lucky she didn’t kill him. If I found out all my team, and friends, were killed for a sales demo, death would be the only answer.
MY FAVORITE SCENE BY FAR
Such a great show. Bobbie was my favorite, such a badass.
She found out SHIELD is secretly full of HYDRA and could no longer stomach her role as Captain Mars
LOL nice!
Bobby is so badass👍
She sure is :)
Thank you for this upload :-) I enjoy rewatching how Martens takes a beating. There were many frustrating conversations full of deceit and mind games preceding this encounter. It made up a bit for all the bullshit Bobbie had to listen to :>
Ty for the upload!
My pleasure
This is how you quit your job.
I love this show.
It's simply genius
when I tell you I was screaming like hell for her to get on Earth's side as quickly as possible
I love how she walks so calmly and only breaks into a run when the guards spot her.
This is the best sci-fi show ever made. There I said it.
"Captain Martens needs to see you... In Hell"
Guard 1: "Stop, or we'll shoot!"
Guard 2: "No! We're not authorized!"
Bobbie: "Thanks for the heads-up, fellas." _runs faster_ 😂
I need to watch this show again, haven't watched it since Season 3.
Bobbie was my fave character in the show, wish she had a bigger part.
Very powerful scene. Not sure why just felt some weight from it. Big moment for Bobby Draper.
God damn I love her character. Perfectly written and executed.
Can't say I blame her for her, "Methods".😁
I just love how its the people that aren't doing the sacrificing that complain that others don't understand sacrifice.
To be fair, the ones doing the sacrificing don’t usually live long enough to complain
@@addisonwelsh True. The saying goes that old soldiers never die. The rest of that is that its the young ones that do.
Best show ever, miss Bobbie and crew
God I love this show
were you tisting a wippon on us?
I enjoyed the way the actress delivered that dialogue !
I love her accent
@@omertrnk5397 sameeee
Martens: "You'll get the firing squad for this"
Bobbie: "Sooooo... no point in keeping you alive then, eh?"
Martens: "Wait... wait. I don't think I thought this through..."
Her picture is next to “like a boss” in the Martian dictionary.
What.... Killed... My..... Team?
Bobbie, no hesitation once she commits .
ep 11? im rewatching this and i have to wait for ep 11 for this?
damn, it really has been a long time since iv seen this show after s3
Captain Martens is like a Martian Boomer
I mean, the head slam for the guard outside the chaplain's room was a little cheezy, but I can forgive it because I do still get chills when she runs across the divide to request asylum.
I just only realized the shot location here is the UofT Scarborough campus I went to years ago.
one of the best characters
Bobbie Draper is the single coolest person in the entire Expanse series. And that’s saying quite something.
And she gets even better after book 6, but that would be spoilers.
I don’t have head phones so can’t watch this with sound but at
4:13 the subtitles guinly say
“Marshal you are on UA-cam!”
And on UA-cam she is!

Ha ha True.
wow, never saw the series and just reading the books, i didn't imagine bobbie like that
Anyone wondered where the tablet went off too? No sign it behind her back? =D
*Go Bobbie, go!!!* 🤩
So well cast!
The sad thing is with the expanse as series now ended, we will never see how much more badass Bobbie is.
Unfortunately, you are right. Amazon ended this series too soon, there are still 3 more books to go in the story. And yeah...Bobbie is totally badass and gets more so towards the end.
Want more Bobbie et al.? I highly recommend continuing with the final three novels of the series.
@@brucesmith4622 yeah... I have done that. Otherwise I wouldnt have know that Bobby is even more badass and took on a freaking alien built warship... on her own... in a spacesuit!
She goes out with her boots on in one of the greatest death scenes of any character.
Now I see what you meant. Yeah, everyone who really likes the show owes it to themselves to dive into the books.@@NardoVogt
" I fought for my planet. I fought for money. Was a time I would have said I fought for honor. In the end, the only thing that matters is fighting for who's covering your flank. Doesn't matter if they're saints or assholes. They're your people. They watch your back and you watch theirs, or you've got nothing."
There's no duff up like a Draper duff up!! I miss her!
I absolutely love Bobbie!!
welcome back!
Cheers my friend!
What defects? Bobby'y perfect.
🤣
Thata girl gunny … GET’EM!!!
Bobbie was a force of nature. Too bad the TV series didn't run long enough to give her the epic sendoff from the novels. Such an amazing character from start to finish.
Bobbie is such a badass!
Dec 2024, could really use a Bobbie right now for information in the U.S.
Feels like The Man in the High Castle episode where Julinia seeks asylum in Nazi Germany
It's almost exactly the same. I've been wondering if they shared writers between shows or maybe they were explicitly referencing that scene.
2:36 Bobbie receives a pad and adds it to inventory.
(Or someone behind her that can hide behind the couch.)
This would be like if a Soviet soldier ran across the DMV during the cold war. The gamble was legit
Pretty sure the soviets would have shot her before she got across
she's a fucking badass.
Guards: Oiii Juliana Crane! Stop!
Ma I have to reread the books. I dont remember this part.
i would so marry her.
