As a big Royal Caribbean fan as well as being a diehard Carnival Funnel Head, I strongly recommend that you try the Carnival Excel Class for a very comparable experience that you find on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class ships (like the Symphony Of The Seas cruise ship that you are very fond of); also give Carnival’s Vista class ships a try for a much more modern and upscale experience that I think that you would also very much enjoy.
Sailed on that ship back in 2006 for my grandparents 50th anniversary, think it was only 1 year old. Had a great time, too bad to see it in a state of disrepair. Glad to see someone else's review nearly 18 years later!!! Thanks
so i did just get off the glory this moring as there is some features i seen pre watch that wasnt changed. im from new orleans so i ported out from here the staff was really on point for me.this was my 1st cruise and i def wanna do it again. also i stayed confused on where to go but my kids knew where to go for the camps no problem. overall glory want too bad but def need some tlc
I’m glad you had a good experience! We’ve never had a bad cruise, but like to be honest on every sailing we take. Our first cruise was also out of New Orleans, but on the Valor. IMO the Glory was the better of the two ships, but some love the Valor too. The Valor was our first cruising love and will always have a special place in our hearts! I’m certain the Glory will be back to its old self after dry dock this year! Thank you for watching and welcome to the #MoonlightMafia
@@TheMoonlightAdventures there was a few things that i think could have went better . But overall loved the cruise experience. I had friends that went on valor the day before me lol .
That’s correct. When it comes out of dry dock it will be refurbished. Our friend @The_Nauti_Cruiser is on her when she comes back from dry dock so please subscribe to him for updates and thank you for watching! Welcome to the #MoonlightMafia
We aren’t brand loyal, but open to anything! NCL is on our hit list for 24 and we have heard great things! Thanks for watching and welcome to the #MoonlightMafia
Good review. We love New Orleans as well. We will be interested to see what the Glory is like after dry dock. Food definitely has been better on other ships.
Good review! We had a great time with everyone but the Glory definitely needs the dry dock! The Seafood Shack was fantastic. Definitely have had better food on other ships. Can’t wait for the Horizon!
Thank you for the information. I'm not sure if I'm going to book this ship now. Even though you said you did enjoy some things, it still sounds like you were bored and underwhelmed with them at the same time. I'm going to hold out and save up for the Carnival Mardi Gras.
It has recently been restored some we sailed on it. In my opinion I would rather sail on the Mardi Gras though. We are currently on the Jubilee and the Excel class is amazing!
Hey Fellow Content Creators, wanted to ask when yall went on your trip, me and my wife sailed back in September celebrating our Anniversary. Overall we enjoyed the ship and our staff was amazing at dinner and for our room, hopefully you had a similar experience in that regard. I know you said Jamaca was a bit sketchy however I have not been and our trip went to Nassau and that place was really unique. We are sailing again in April I believe, porting from Long Beach, California and heading to Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta.
We sailed in October. The ship is in need of dry dock and is getting that in 24. The staff was good for the most part, but the MDR wait staff in our dining room was not great. The ship was not as clean as we normally see with other ships and cruise lines. We do bear in mind the age of the ship though. Bottom line we are just not fans of this class of ship. Thank you for watching and welcome to the #MoonlightMafia
@@TheMoonlightAdventures Checking out your channel right now and congrats on the overall branding its very cohesive. @@YesterdaysTomorrow thanks for the kind words. We’ve been doing this almost two years now. It took a while for us to find the right formula for our niche and it is still a work in progress. Grind everyday!
I think Glory dry docks then goes to Port Canaveral and Liberty goes to NOLA. Great town to do a cruise from and the food is off the charts! Looking forward to the Paradise Beach vlogs. Thanks for posting! P.S. was that John Bourbon in the MDR?😊
The Glory sucks! The buffets are closed more than they are open. Due to the limited hours, lines are long and tables in the air conditioning are limited. The food quality is marginal. I tried to eat at the deli all week and the lines were always too long. The pizza had very little toppings and very overrated. The Mexican taco stand always had long lines. The limited buffet service kept these lines long for these speciality restaurants. The burgers were good and seemed to be the only venue that ran efficiently. I will not be back! Carnival needs to fix these issues. Just open the buffet at 4:00 instead of 6:00, so you can feed 4,000 people without a mad rush.
The MDR and Buffet is probably our least favorite on any Carnival ship. Seafood shack is one of our favorites. But, nothing compares to Hooked! Royal food is the best! Don't get stuck in the #crackinthemiddle
It just came out of dry-dock and is on its way to Port Canaveral. They will have her in tiptop shape when she returns. Our sailing was just before she went over.

Just got off the Glory yesterday. It definitely needs a paint job, but everything else was great! Food, staff and shows were excellent!
Good to hear that they’ve made a few improvements. I’m sure it will be much better after it dry docks. Thank you for watching!

Thank you Antoinette! We can’t wait to sail with you one day!
I’m going on the glory in August this year so I hope the Drydock
Will make it better!
It will be great I’m sure. Our Pier-2-Pier Podcast partner @The Nauti Cruiser will be on her when she sails back from dry dock.
We are booked on Glory mid June of 2024 out of Port Canaveral. Hope “Dry docking” means they are making improvements?!

Do you recommend to give gratuities $ before boarding or after ?
I have a cruise 🚢 coming up and it would be Carnival Glory 😅 a little concerned!!
We always pre-pay our gratuities and bring a little extra cash for those that go above and beyond. It simplifies things a lot! Thank you for watching!
