Oh my i thought it was just me, and I feel like I'm abnormal not settling with one path. I'm honestly confuse at the moment but it's okay I'll finally figure it out 😊
In all honesty, everyone has that thing but people often misunderstand it and don't find it. It can be a purpose or a goal that can be reached with a job. No job's are always enjoyable but they nothing ever is.
Tbh I feel like We don’t have a dream job because we are here to experience all sorts of things. Multitalented and open minded and open to explore every element of who we are
Yesss!! Life is an experience and the world is always changing. We also grow interests in trying new things and use our senses but instead we're told going to college to get a job will be the best thing that happened to us
I’ve felt the same my whole life and I’m 50 now. My resume has all kinds of random jobs, some that have paid very well and some not. I have no regrets and feel one should experience as much as possible in this lifetime.
This is why I struggle with work because I’ve hated all jobs I had and have I just hate how they just make you figure out a passion and get a job . There’s just too many things to explore I can’t settle
I saw a video where they were in.. Mexico I believe. And airbnb is doing this new thing where it’s “airbnb” experiences. So natives can host it at a place or your house of the natives there and cook meals for them while the ppl who booked also help and learn. It’s like really nice so maybe that’s a thing to consider. I watched the video from passport heavy!

You have no idea how much I needed this. I’ve been the exact same way my whole life too! I’m going to be 34 soon with a young son and I still feel like I don’t know what the hell im doing or going to do with my life. Your definitely not alone. I think people put so much pressure on careers and money that even if we had all of that would we really be living happily? Life is short do what makes you happy, and if you’re not happy try to find what does even if it’s just a hobby on the side of a bull shit job. My dad once told me “Nobody really has it all figured out .”
Yeap, passion doens''t pay the bills and you are forced to make it into a business if you want to. And in the process you may even lose the passion coz it wasn't about getting paid in the first place.
I'm going to be 40 in September and I have no real purpose either. I figured out the degree I should have gotten years ago, but that's about it. I wanted to go to Hollyweird and be an actress, I wanted to be a lawyer, a tennis coach, drama teacher, all sorts of things. So don't feel too bad, anyone else that's experiencing this and comes across this comment.
This makes so much sense to me, I've been beating myself up about getting bored of jobs easily and always wanting to try new things but if that is what makes me happy I should just do it! Thank you for sharing your experience 😊
Girl everything you said, I resonated so hard. My boyfriend is always saying, "dude give me a moment to catch up, you are always switching it up on me". And thats just like the story of my life I am never consistent but I love my mind and I love how interesting everything is to me. I have been really struggling in my first year of college even though I got a full ride. I am currently failing all of my classes and struggling to figure out what to do next. I'm just feeling like school is ruining the things I'm interested in. I love to learn but I have been so hard on myself for not wanting to go to college even though I'm basically getting paid to do it. Its just been hard and the system can really suck you in and make you feel like you have to stick to one thing. But I am trying to read about everything I love and figure shit out at my pace and do it the way I want to. I just cant focus if its not what I'm into or at my own speed. Anyways It was great hearing your perspective girl. Trust your intuition
I came to the conclusion that no job will be fulfilling (edit: for me, personally) a long time ago... So getting an education is about figuring out what will make you the least miserable, and living through college for years just to get it over with (for those with similar prospects). Also knowing that every minute I give to the system is time that I'm not getting back, and that my growth as a person is limited by that.
Education is fun though! I don’t think my five years of school went down the trash. education can open your mind to other topics. It makes you more aware of what is going on around you.It can harm you though if you study something that doesn’t interest you or if you’re going to school because you put other people’s expectations above your own.
Your conclusion that no job can be fulfilling is not a reality for everyone. Some people are fulfilled by their jobs and their jobs align with their interests. Everyone’s approach to work will be different
I don't even have a dream, never mind a dream job, my life goal was to make a lot of money around one million dollar adopt a girl and educated her and just be with her , being a mom is something I always looked forward too, but I now I am unemployed
wow this video is so relatable especially cuz i'm studying spanish in school too! I feel like people still harshly judge those who don't have a dream job but they just don't understand that not everyone has to have one. i'm all about doing what makes you happy in the moment! love the video!
There's nothing like feeling super useful like your uniqueness is being put up to your fullest potential and you contribute to society in the best way you can.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one lost. Changed my major 3-4 times before completely dropping out altogether. Been out of school for 2 years now and I think I may have found my passion. Hopefully. I'm almost 23 and I feel like it's too late for me. but I know it's not.
oh god. I remember when I was about to graduate high school. the only thing I heard was the "you need to go to college" speech. I felt almost forced in a way. don't let that happen to you. take a break from school after you graduate if you need to. go at your own pace
Hi Nyla, the Japanese Ikigai is a very useful guideline to find out what makes you happy in life, what you love to do, what the world needs, what you can be paid for and what you are good at. I'm in my 50's and never had any specific dream either about what I wanted to be. But now after being made redundant recently I am all into exploring what gives me fulfillment in what I do. One thing I know, time flies and never returns. Make use of the time you have to enjoy the simple things in life. This joy has all to do with your personal values. A fun journey to find out all of that and to live each day accordingly. I enjoyed your video and your personal story. Be good for yourself, I love your energy.
This video really spoke to me! I can't wait to watch all your videos. Literally yesterday I had a heart to heart with my husband saying this exact thing. I needed this relief that it is ok to not know what I want to do. Thank you so much for this video!!
I was so confused when I saw this in my recommended. But I clicked on it and really enjoyed your insight! I found out what I wanted to do at 19 and started working towards it. You gained a subscriber, and I'm curious to see what you'll talk about next.
I can relate to what you are saying. You should read a book “Refuse to choose”. It helped me a lot to accept myself, and liking many things and constantly learning.
Yesssssss!!! I love this video! Well maybe your “dream job” will be UA-cam one day 🥰 but I agree with you…our interests change all the time. I hope you stick with UA-cam though bc you got good videos! I’m also passionate about making UA-cam videos. But it’s not the only thing I love doing. Gotta support the small creators ❤️❤️
Nice recommendation from UA-cam 👌 really good video! Makes me really think about my father, slaving away at his trade from 17 years old to now 50+ and still working hard as hell. I wish I could put him in his dream job. Or out of work.
I love this and I too like many things :) I also studied communication arts but I wanted to be a video editor, but the job field is super competitive. Internships are good, but it felt so straining seeing people work in cubicles. I’m like do I really want this to be life? So I decided to make UA-cam channel and just do dabble on interests and edit. I’m 31 and still learning more about how I would like to contribute my service to the world. I feel like this platform is meaningful and you can help many people out collectively here.
I've always changed my mind about what I want to do with my time. But I was worried about being weird and afraid of commitment or something! It's comforting to know that I'm not the only one
I am 25 and still unsure about my life or what is a perfect life or dream job... I lost both of my parents and I am all by myself in this world. But after all living life in a simple way and without any pressure of work is not bad either..
thank you for this advice, it's exactly what i needed to hear. i feel like i'll never be successful or happy sometimes.. i need to stop being so hard on myself...
Im that way as well. I am EXTREMELY hard on myself. but you look like an accomplished student from your profile picture. you must be smart af. you will figure it out when the time is right. best of luck to you. :)
older person here.... I've worked in many areas throughout my life.... most of which I didn't enjoy. I wanted to learn everything too and STILL do. I just wish I had done more to invest in myself.
you don’t even realize how much this video has helped me. i’ve always been interested in multiple careers as well like marine biology and astronomy like you. but i’ve never been good at math or science so that discouraged me from it. there is just too many careers i’m interested in to ever just settle and do one thing forever. it’s so freeing when you realize that the whole idea of having a “dream job” is a scam
I feel the same way and it's very scary, english isn't my first language and when I didn't know what else to do I started to study it more, I can also be a teacher or translate and things like that, but I'm scared I won't feel good about those things when I'm done with the course! Thanks for this video!!
I think the most fun part is the journey and not the destination (all cheesy lol). but figure out what you want to do. do every job that you can. go volunteer if you can. you want to learn and that is what matters.
boy am I glad I found your channel!! I love your type of content and I've come to these realizations about capitalism, work, passions etc over the 4 years I've been in college. I appreciated your insights and I very much agree with being multifaceted and multipassionate people. All the best w your future work x
Love this video and relate so much. I find myself feeling so down sometimes because so many of my friends have set plans in life whilst I have no idea what I want to do or if my degree (Politics) is even worth it. It's so scary because I want to do well in life but I feel like all careers and jobs which are high earning are so time consuming and depressing.
As long as you know that you want better and are willing to put in the work I think that you will be fine. I feel the same way sometimes too. good luck(:
I convinced myself that I wanted a dream job so that I could be of purpose to myself and so I could take up space in this vast world but after finishing school I realized I waste 4 years on a degree that may get me a decent paying job but that job won’t bring me as much happiness as pursuing my own interests
I get the "everything catches my attention" I get bored with most things after 2-3 years. Here is a cool concept though: every skill you learn adds to your "skill stack". you can find areas of overlap between all the skills you have and maybe good skills to add the stack. that way you are not bound to one field or career, but you can also find the best areas for you to be in or directions in which to grow. Not sure if that made any sense at all, but it is well explained in the book "How to fail at almost everything and still win big"
Honestly, I also don't have a dream job. I conditioned my own self to believe that I do have some sort of dream job in mind when in reality I don't have everything mapped out. And that's okay, is what they would tell me. I enjoy writing a lot and yet I'm also aware that I won't be making a lot of income just by writing maybe a full-length novel or book or whatever, and so I'm left to overthink yet again and fully reflect on what I should be actually doing after college. My life's messy right now, but hopefully, I'll get everything aligned somehow...maybe...
I just filmed something just like this!! Omg I agree with this so much! Like I don’t think anyone knows exactly what they want other than to be happy and feel fulfilled!! ❤️😚
Years ago, my friend earned a degree in Spanish and she ended up working at the US Embassy in Mexico City; I'm not sure if she had to pass the FSOT before being selected.
hey, thank you for this very thoughtful video, you are so sweet :) Here's an idea for you to explore: I think kids would be lucky to have you as a career counsellor (I realise how ironic this sounds ahaha) by the way I came from Katherout's latest video where she mentioned you :) subbed
Si, me gusta ! Tu boca! 🤣 If you're that type of person than do all the dreams on your bucket list. Right now I'm doing flight attendantimg, modeling, and acting . It's something I've always wanted to do and society says pick one and stick with it. Nope. Not ever . Right now my youtube channel (which I talk about modeling and flight attendanting and traveling) is on my list of things I want to be big and successful. Live your life. Best of luck!
maybe you don't want to trade time for money but you wanna get paid somehow lol.. follow what makes you happy, if making videos make you happy then do it.. if you stay consistent.
Great video! Interesting how this video has 5k views compared to your other videos which only have hundreds of views. Have you taken the 16 personalities test which would show you possible careers you could do based on your personality? And at 5:02 your f-bomb startled me lol!
I have been thinking the same thing. Maybe because at the time I made the video other creators were touching on the same topic as well. I didn’t really know it was a trending topic. and I have not! I’ll try it out
Me pasa lo mismo, terminé mis estudios y tengo un trabajo but no the f*ckin dream job y esta bien, esta bien no tener claridad con que hacer con nuestra vida, esta bien no tener un gran propósito
I am in the same boat right now I have changed my college major six times and feel like I've wasted so much time and money because I can't just pick one thing to do for the rest of my life. Im currently going to school to get a computer science degree but I am ready to change it again.
I decided to leave school alone because I would literally have no idea what to study. It would be a waste of my time and money at this point. But I am wishing you the best of luck😌
i mean the goal for me is just experience several industries, master the ones i really enjoy and hopefully get paid ? idk but yeah at the end of the day although i "love" my job i still resent it at times..
Hey beautiful 1. U should not be so hard on ur self. We all go through life having this expectations believeing that society having u to believe u should work 15 yrs or more at 1 career and that definitely not the case honestly we all fantazie About having a big house nice cars great career .there nothing wrong 4 being normal at least ur not putting alot of expectations on ur self. I would like to say u seem to no were ur going in life .and career wise as well .look u did set some goals 4 ur self u have ur owned u .tube channel. Maybe that something u might make it out of a career or maybe not .as long as ur determined in life there nothing u can't accomplish . keep up the hard work ur doing awersome job on ur channel .reaching out to people on topics that matter.🌺😜
This is crazy because I am about graduate with a Spanish degree and I am very much so struggling with what I am going to do, or what am I doing. Also spanish is definitely not my first language. I didn't start learning it until I was 19/20 years old. ENTONCES... mi español no es tan fuerte perooooooo... and Yea idk I am just at that phase where I am just going to try anything and everything because I definitely feel like I wedded myself to strongly to doing only one thing and like I think I am seeing the negative results of that thinking. But yea great video and appreciate that there are other people out there that are willing to express the same feeling.
I literally don’t care about work anymore I earn pretty good money but I hate the job. I’ve stopped worrying about work and caring about it and I feel so much happier and better. No longer do I work past five
my parents are NOT with this idea. They went to school themselves and have degrees. and believe that if I don’t do anything with my degree then I will struggle living. they somewhat had an impact on my past decisions. I felt like I wanted to let them know that what they had done for me was not in vein. so I had them in mind throughout the whole process. Until I quit school lol
Your video reminds me of another YT video called “I don’t have a dream job”, by Lynette Adkins. Her video and message is so wonderful, that finding your video, one like her's is quite nice! I highly suggest u check out her video if u haven’t already, tho I'd b glad to assume u already have, as it's so inspiring!
I'm a student, and I'm just like you don't have an passion, and nothing. Even I don't have a dram in my life. And I'm not happy with that. What I'm suppose to do☹️
I have no dream job and no applicable skillsets, and my computer recently crapped on me while I was teaching myself code... I just can't have nice things, I guess.
I honestly never understood how people were able to stick to one path their whole lives.
Life is too interesting to do just one thing your whole life.
Oh my i thought it was just me, and I feel like I'm abnormal not settling with one path. I'm honestly confuse at the moment but it's okay I'll finally figure it out 😊
Plumbers, electricians, car mechanics etc... trade people pretty much stick to one thing for the rest of their lives.
Or the same employer for 30+ years. Many boomers did it.
In all honesty, everyone has that thing but people often misunderstand it and don't find it. It can be a purpose or a goal that can be reached with a job. No job's are always enjoyable but they nothing ever is.

Yesss!! Life is an experience and the world is always changing. We also grow interests in trying new things and use our senses but instead we're told going to college to get a job will be the best thing that happened to us
Love how UA-cam algorithm is pushing new channels to the feed. Great content

I feel like capitalism kills our dreams lol like damn it’s hard to find a job that will make u happy :\

I agree, When I was younger I had so many dream jobs and knew what I wanted to do. Now that I am an “adult” all of that just went out the window.
Sometimes it's not natural to do one thing the rest of your life.
There’s so many fun things to do here lol why do we have to choose just one?

you don’t even realize how much this video has helped me. i’ve always been interested in multiple careers as well like marine biology and astronomy like you. but i’ve never been good at math or science so that discouraged me from it. there is just too many careers i’m interested in to ever just settle and do one thing forever. it’s so freeing when you realize that the whole idea of having a “dream job” is a scam
Thank you! I’m glad it got to help you in some way. 😌
I feel the same way and it's very scary, english isn't my first language and when I didn't know what else to do I started to study it more, I can also be a teacher or translate and things like that, but I'm scared I won't feel good about those things when I'm done with the course! Thanks for this video!!
Thank you for watching it!
thank you Nyla cause i thought i was alone...I dont know what to do, i mean I have a job before. I want to learn everything too
I think the most fun part is the journey and not the destination (all cheesy lol). but figure out what you want to do. do every job that you can. go volunteer if you can. you want to learn and that is what matters.
boy am I glad I found your channel!! I love your type of content and I've come to these realizations about capitalism, work, passions etc over the 4 years I've been in college. I appreciated your insights and I very much agree with being multifaceted and multipassionate people. All the best w your future work x
Thank you! 😌. Good luck to you as well
Love this video and relate so much.
I feel the same way sometimes too. good luck(:
I convinced myself that I wanted a dream job so that I could be of purpose to myself and so I could take up space in this vast world but after finishing school I realized I waste 4 years on a degree that may get me a decent paying job but that job won’t bring me as much happiness as pursuing my own interests
i know im late but i honestly love this video so much. I too never have a dream job and i never had the desire to stick with one job for 40 years.
when you truly have a plan and you truly focus and believe in your self you would land your dream goals and aspiration good luck
I get the "everything catches my attention"
I get bored with most things after 2-3 years.
I feel the same way. I’m a bit lost too. 😅 I hope you figure out everything that you need to. Good luck!
I just filmed something just like this!! Omg I agree with this so much! Like I don’t think anyone knows exactly what they want other than to be happy and feel fulfilled!! ❤️😚
Thank you for watching! Im glad I’m not the only one that feels the same
@@nylarm4190 Yesssss! same here it is so reassuring to see your video
very nice ramble and I think I needed to hear this!
you're welcome! thank you for watching. :)
Me too !!! ☹️🥰😻💭🙄☀️thanks so much for making me feel less alone with these thought 😘😘😘
This was incredibly helpful. 😭 Thank you for sharing 🖤🖖🏻
thank YOU for watching. 😎
Years ago, my friend earned a degree in Spanish and she ended up working at the US Embassy in Mexico City; I'm not sure if she had to pass the FSOT before being selected.
Wow. Congrats to your friend! Never heard you could end up in the embassy if you earned a Spanish degree.
I am the same ..i finally figure out that I not meant working for someone else thats why i can stay interesting in my college majors!
my name is nyla too and i love your content i hope you continue to grow 💗
Thank you!❤️
hey, thank you for this very thoughtful video, you are so sweet :) Here's an idea for you to explore: I think kids would be lucky to have you as a career counsellor (I realise how ironic this sounds ahaha)
by the way I came from Katherout's latest video where she mentioned you :) subbed
Wow thank you for letting me know! I just went over to her channel to check her out. 👍
you said everything i had in my mind and validated it :')
Si, me gusta ! Tu boca! 🤣
If you're that type of person than do all the dreams on your bucket list.
Thank you! For a second I wanted to get Into flight attending as well. how is it?
That "No sé qué chingados hacer" killed me! 🤣 This is the channel for me.
You have chosen good background music. What song is it?
I used free music on a website. 👍.
Damn I feel you, I agree with pretty much everything you said.. at least there is many of us like this haha 🙂
maybe you don't want to trade time for money but you wanna get paid somehow lol.. follow what makes you happy, if making videos make you happy then do it.. if you stay consistent.
I’ll try it out
@@nylarm4190 Sounds good, maybe you could do a video on your results from the 16 personalities test if it turns out well!
I appreciate your input. It’s a relief to know that I’m not the only one with the feeling
Thanks for making this video. I’ve always been the same way.
You’re welcome😌
Honestly, I never related to a UA-cam video on this level!
I’m glad I helped in some way😌
Amen 💯 you just gained another subscriber
I literally don’t care about work anymore I earn pretty good money but I hate the job. I’ve stopped worrying about work and caring about it and I feel so much happier and better. No longer do I work past five
I love this video because its very relatable. May I ask what your parents think about this and if they have had any influence on your career choices?
my parents are NOT with this idea.
This really resonated *sigh*
Loved this ❤️❤️❤️
Thing is: doing what I love doens't pay my bills ...
Same here.
I’ll check the video out. Thanks😘
Right... Like what if I never find my passion or purpose?...
“I was the everything bitch” lmao
Me too girl, still trying to figure it out
I feel like you have found your dreams already in this UA-cam channel
I'm a student,and I'm just like you don't have an passion,and nothing.
Even I don't have a dram in my life.
And I'm not happy with that.
What I'm suppose to do☹️
😔
Just go with the flow you’ll find something i hope dont feel pressured to get everything done immediately
You are so cute. thanks so much for this video💗💗💗💗💗
thank you for the support. 😌
Great video sis
How can we have money if we dont work..? Thats my question to myself.. I hate what i do but i need the salary so i do it.. Unless i have a sugar daddy
“Don’t do it girl.. don’t do it”🤭
I love this!
The same is here, but is it really bad? I do not think so.
I Feel the same way, I Don't even want a Job as I Considered UA-cam (Even If I am One already) more of My Job
This is exactly on point how I feel
I love the coffee cup in the video
thank you😌. it was a gift from my closest friends.
Ellos:¿ que quieres ser cuando seas grande?
Yo: ... Uhhh... Feliz?
Fortunately people started to talk about that🤩
Thank god im not the only one😂seemed like everyone I went to school with, knew and I’m all 🧍♀️ idk 🧍♀️ haha
I’m rocking with her
I think we were separated at birth...girl, we have the same brain!
I’m glad other people think the same🙏🏼
Lol
I have no dream job and no applicable skillsets, and my computer recently crapped on me while I was teaching myself code... I just can't have nice things, I guess.
Girl me too!! And I’m old
It’s okay to just exist.
I agree. But have some fun while you’re existing. 😎
