I have one of these and have never been able to cast on this easily and neatly, thanks for the video. It’s a fabulous machine otherwise, but now I can cast on without sacrificial yarn! ❤❤❤

My knitting machine has a guild opening in the cebter of the carriage that the end of the yarn goes in so you only have to move the carriage back and forth...the yarn feeds into it automatically.

Thank you so much- i just got one of these machines and i cannot figure out what i am doing wrong it looks like im going it similar to you. Do you have a video of binding it off?

Hi, what's the problem? Is it dropping the stitches? I don't have a video showing how to bind off. I like to record videos outside because of the natural light, but it is still winter here, so I can't go out. :( I will try to post a short video soon. Stay tunned.

Mine keeps getting jammed when i try to do it- any suggestions as to what i might be doing wrong? all the latches are open i swear it looks like i am following your video to the T. The instructions on mine say to start the glider to the left that is the ONLY difference

Also do you have any videos of binding off?

Hi again. It really doesn't matter were the carriage is, it can be on the left or on the right of the knitter as long as it is on the same side of the yarn. For example, if on your last row the yarn that hangs from the last needle is on the right, then your carriage should be on the right. The latches of needles should be open, but the stitches formed on the previous row, should be behind the open latches. The yarn you pull over the needles must rest on the hook of the needles in front of the open latches. Pull enough yarn from the skein or cake to create slack, so the carriage can pull it through without difficulty. Let me know how it goes.

Sure. My machine came with instructions. I will try to upload at least the basic information to my blog this weekend. My blog's address is at the beginning of the video. Check it next week.

Hi, I uploaded the basic steps and the instruction manual. It is the same one for Knitmaster and KnitKing. I scanned only the most important information, since the manual is really large. Go to: www.knittingfingers.com and click on Downloads/Descargas at the top of the blog's main page. The files you need are the two at the bottom. Hope this helps. Happy knitting.

I've got the same machine. But even if I follow you video meticulously, it takes the wool off the needle and doesn't knit.😢

Check each needle carefully, 9 times out of 10, the stitches drop due to faulty needles. The latches can not be bent in the slightest. Also, make sure the latches are open before putting the yarn across and make sure the yarn rests close to the hook of the needles and not behind the latches. If that doesn't work, clean the carriage and check that the brushes are in good condition. Good luck.

One more thing. These machines work with fine yarn. I am using sock yarn on the video. You may use fingering, lace, and sock yarn. Anything thicker than that won't work.

Rachel Maksy just unearthed her Gram's 1957 KnitKing and I'm sure she'd love to hear from you. I'm posting your title, name & URL in her vid comments.

@@HelenSiersKnittingfingers She's having trouble with the piece falling off. She has so many comments, I've no way of knowing if I got lost in the scroll. Maybe DM her and let her know there's help if she needs it? That's if you're willing of course.
