In this lesson, you will learn how to draw and interpret box plots, also known as box-and-whisker plots. In statistics, we use box plots to graphically represent the median of a data set along with the minimum value, maximum value, and the quartiles of the data. It makes it very easy to visualize the data set in one chart or graph. The box portion of the plot encloses Q1, Q2, and Q3. The whisker part of the plot illustrations the outliers, max and min values, of the data set.
best explanation for uworld question about box plot.
you explained these box and whisker plots very well, thanks for sharing, happy holidays
Thanks, you too!
Thank you so much for this video, it clearly explains the topic for me to understand. Keep up the good work.
NERD!!
Thank you sir.... Keep up the good work....stay healthy....
Great work sir and lots of love from India😀
Thanks, I learned here better than in class
You helped me help my 12 year old... Thank you so much!!! I read websites that said the the Q1 and Q3 were the mean of the data sets to the left or right of the median... so I was averaging all the numbers as opposed to just the middle numbers. I felt like an idiot!
Making me like statistics a little more. It's simple but explains a lot. 😊
Really, really nice explanation. Now I understand the plot in which the median is not in the center of box. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you very much, was explicitly help full.
nice explanation, thank you sir
Thank you! The best explanation!
Great Explanation! Thanks
Thanks for nice presentation
Welcome!
Thank you 👍👍👍
thank you so much for the video :)
Thanks, it’s a great video
EXCELLENT 👍
great explanation 💚
Thank you for making video data science math
Thanks you are doing a good work ❤❤❤❤ I love you ❤❤❤❤
Thank a lot sir!
It's very clear thanks
Thank u so much
Thank you 💗👍
great explanation! which part of your lessons is this one?
Good explanation sir. Even I took membership. I have one question. Why don't you start machine learning series. Machine learning also involves algebra and statistics. If you start that series we all benefit a alot.
Thanks love from india
Thak you very much ❤
Thank you.
Too kool!! This class is so kool!!
Thanks so much!
I hope a lot of things to come up in statistics.
Yes for sure!
I need to give a super thanks for this🤣🤣🤣
Thank you SIr
full support................ love from India, systummmmm
Thank u teacher
great lessons
(something was on your left eyebrow)
Doh!
I NEEDED THIS TYSM!!!
Clear and concise ! Thank you.
Nice
Thanks!
How about whiskers? how about the Interquartile? 1.8xIQR
Could you explain how 11 is the Q3 in first example? The Q3 is 10
Sometimes I see boxplots with outlier points outside the whiskers limits. I guess in such cases whiskers are not min and max values. So what they are then?
Sounds to me like a mistake in the drawing of the boxplot.
Half of the data falls in the box between Q1 and Q3, not most of it.
Think you but where's the second part please
All I heard was commercial, commercial , lol I know this isn't hard. I just panick when comes to math.
is that a mistake in your class??? the first whisker you shown is 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 to 12 but actual data points are 3 4 5 5 7 ... why?? In next box plot you are taking correct dataset as whisker!!!!!!!!
Be polite!! Humans are prone to mistakes and it’s normal😂
buddy needs to start mewing 💀💀💀💀🤫🧏♀
Thanks for nice presentation
