Although it sounded like he was purposefully covering the microphone, as people do when they hold the phone from the bottom... I do admit it’s not the best microphone out there that apple could have chosen to put in the phone. So he’s not completely at fault here. But my 8+ sounds better then my dads S9 for some reason... which we tested... so that’s how I know he was covering the mic in this video.

Iphone 8plus gives it raw best quality for color grading which is good for use by professional photographers but s9 seems to give final product meaning it has alredy decided what you want, i choose iPhone
Nick, when displaying demo photos from 2 phones please always keep them on the same half of the display. In example- It gets a bit confusing if you display several of S9+ demo photos in a row in the left half of display ,and then show another demo photo but on the right side. I think all the photos taken on s9 look desaturated. For me, 8 plus wins here. The color looks more professional. It’s a little bit over saturated, though.

Yeah, and you totally can't adjust colors yourself, such as increase saturation or contrast. Ignore totally the sharpness on the images of S9 and especially video. S9's video was far better than iPhone's.
Nick, any chance you can let us know in each sample which one looked for accurate color wise? I noticed a lot of big color differences. Like most Sky's were always really blue on the iPhone and more gray on the Galaxy.
In some of the earlier shots, the iPhone looked better and not as washed out. For example @1:45 the doors and the sign above look darker and richer on the iPhone.
@@rkgsd I don't think it was washed out but actually more realistic, I have an iPhone Xs at home and yes, the colors look more intense but they are not real at all, it makes me look kind of orange when my color is really pale, it makes a blue wall in my room look green, I don't think this is natural
I am an iPhone 8 Plus user, and I like the overall “look” of the iPhone better, slightly warmer colours and very natural. However you can not deny iPhone users that the s9+ is a huge step up from the s8+ and definitely provides a sharper image with some amazing low light performance. I’m happy to admit that. They’re both incredible cameras but I think that iPhone need to step it up on the next iPhone.

Welll the s9+ camera is more convincing to me...overall, but I am looking forward to see the next gen camera in the next Iphones...well done Nick! ;) And I think all in all both cameras can do a good job...yet again I have dslr's for taking photos...but both cameras are good....do not forget these are still good cameras....
The 8 plus is good with the front facing camera and horrible zooming in. The 4k is ok on the 8 plus. The s9 plus is pretty good at zooming in and good sharp images. The 4k video is smooth and more detailed. The iPhone darkens most things. Like if you agree

I'm getting the Product RED iPhone 8 Plus TOMORROW, BIIIGGG Apple Fanboy, but i can't overlook the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S9+ blows the iPhone to smithereens. It's almost a "Y'already knoww" situation, no discourse over it. The S9 Camera is hands down sharper both in video and photo.

ok so I covered the bottom part of my screen, and in almost every rear camera photo, I liked the iPhone better. In front-facing camera, the S9 beats the 8+ as well as in video shooting. The camera on the S9 lets so much light in, it's just amazing. I'm still buying the 8+ because of the ecosystem but now I'm really hesitating.

Nick - you should review Sony Xperia series phones too. You do have some offbeat content (which is great) but you should increase that content. it will be cool.

I own an iphone 8 Plus and think the s9 is much sharper. What I like about the iphone is the tracking system, the overall speed and security of a proprietary system. Maybe that's not relevant or true anymore. I got a good deal on two phones. What I don't like about it is I make my own mp3's and cannot email/save them. It doesn't stream with my 2016 Toyota Sequoia as seamlessly as my old note 3 did. Apple better really step up their game because when I'm done paying for this I'll probably go back to Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy S 9 Plus is got a perfect hi-Fi stereo recording microphones & the camera photos at night I can't almost see no noise & the zooming is brilliant. The iPhone is not bad at all but the bad mono sound it really makes it hard to hear your dialogue & the amount of noise is bad & the zooming is not as good and clear as the Samsung galaxy S9 plus. Samsung wins all day long cheers and peace.
For me, the iPhone, looks sharper and more natural in daylight and the S9 images have too much contrast and tries too hard, but the S9+ walks it it in low light ... the audio is also better on the Galaxy.. although not terrible on the iPhone... I prefer the iPhone here
Seems like there was way less effort in the iphone shots and videos. For example, in the video comparison clips. From the starting point to when he got to the "sunshine" sign = 32 secs on the s9, it was 13 secs on the iphone8, completely rushed through it.
People will keep on Arguing on IPhone and Samsung, I think the technology is changing so fast that even one month later model of a phone maybe better than the previous, may be next iPhone bring something more and then the next Samsung will get better alike

My score was S9+: 14 iP8+: 5 Ties: 3 Some photos I have the iPhone the win because the colors were a bit betters. But at the same time the S9 still did really well in those photos.
I switched to apple since I don't have to worry about software updates as the 4s is still supported, love my 8 plus 256, the accessories are every where for apple as well

i got the s9 when it was first released. then it cost 1.190 dollars. i was very impressed and happy then. but a month or two after it started having weird problems. like the screen just spazzing the fuck out, going black and normal, and it just overall started to slow down. its gotten to a point where i cant even use snapchat and instagram because it crashes all the damn time. a month after i got the s9 the price lowered to 800 dollars. i was very disappointed and im going to upgrade to the iphone 8 plus soon.

On the zoom the telephotolense didnt activate on the 8 plus can clearly see that was digital zoom not optical
