Using a S9 plus for 2 weeks. And I would say that It was a wonderful and very awesome phone. It's really fast and the battery can last for a day. I didn't regret that I purchased and bought this phone. I really love it. 5 Stars for this phone. 😊
@@AssertiontoThrone I've had the s9 for almost two years now. It works just as well as the first day I got it, and it's true! The battery lasts for so long.
iPhone for one simple reason: Applications! The apps I use everyday (even every hour) as Instagram or Snapchat are better optimized for iOS. But sure, the S9 or Note 8 are beasts and great phones.
TheNazer_ bruh get a iPhone and save yourself from headaches 2 years down the line. Plus higher resale value. This is coming from someone who's been an android user their whole life, I'm just sick of Android.
TheNazer_ I had a Samsung note 8 and within months the battery and performance started to deteriorate. Bigxby does more than Siri but is so unreliable and slow that it’s unusable. I never thought I’d say this as I’ve been a android girl forever but I’d have to recommend the iPhone. I’ve got a iPhone 8 Plus now and it’s just better
I had an iphone 5 before, so keep that in mind when reading this. I've only had it for a month now, and i can't keep my hands off it. it's fast and can do games so good. I only use it for music games and what'sapp. and what i really like about it, which the iphone can't do is, you can put your personality into it, like customize it and stuff, it's like my own bedroom if you get what i mean. 10/10 best phone in 2018.
I swtiched from iPhone 7 plus to S9 plus and so far Im really liking it the display is so much better and its more comfortable to hold in hand than 7 plus but since its my first time using android it took quite some time to get used to it nonetheless i dont regret it
I have an 8 Plus and love it. Coming from a galaxy s7. Android are good, and I enjoyed it, whatever phone you get are going to be good. And I will openly admit the screen is better looking on the Samsung. However.. my galaxy s7 edge after 10 months of use suffered from awful screen burn and was horrible to look at. With the iPhone 8 Plus using a lcd display I don’t have to worry about that happening. But yeah loving the 8 Plus. May not be the most innovative design but it has not crashed once in the months I’ve owned it, it has not once slowed down, it is lightning quick with every task and the battery is solid. The camera is incredible and a big step up from he galaxy s7. I can’t get past Samsung’s and a lot of androids in general with their over post processing.
I moved from the S8 to an iPhone 8 Plus. It’s like night and day. Yeah, the screens on the Samsung’s are fantastic...but, they do draw an awful amount of power. And don’t get me started about the Samsung “slow down” after a month or two (which led me to reset at least twice). Fantastic hardware on both, but I needed stability and polish. The iPhone gave me that (and more). Enjoy your mobile (whatever it is)!
hlias P personally mate, you will be impressed with both, and the s9 does have its plus points, however I cannot recommend it over the iPhone 8+. I can not fault this iPhone, they’re so well designed and made, and the main good point is EVERYTHING is optimised for that one phone. Unlike android phones where everything is having to be shared over many different manufactures. Everything about this 8+ is amazing I cannot fault it. And coming from an avid photographer, the camera is very impressive, however not quite technically as good as the Samsung, and in low light that Samsung is astonishing. Hopefully you got/get the iPhone, you will not be disappointed. I cannot say the Same for he Samsung because with my s7 edge the screen was a disgrace after 10 months, and I did often have apps randomly shut down and crash. Sorry for late reply
Ironically, 2 years ago I chose iPhone, but because Apple have become over capitalist today in 2021, I am now switching to Samsung. It's honestly an informed business decision for me.
UNBIASED!! I bought a G1 day one. I have had many, many android phones (personal fav LG G5). My first iPhone or apple experience was an iPhone 7plus. Due to an issue I had with my carrier they offered me the iPhone 8plus on the same lease. I absolutely love this phone!! I watched this video, and many like it, to give me a reason to go back (jump on demand with T-Mobile) so I can get any phone under $999.00 no money down. Still will not go back!!! Won’t get the iPhone X either, not because it will cost me out of pocket $$ but I feel like it is half a phone! Love the iPhone 8+!!
I really appreciate this simple video yet informative and to the point. Especially with no annoying background music, just the necessary narration that's all. Please keep your content like this thank u very much
I also have both. Silver iphone 8 plus and grey s9 plus. S9 wins by far... I just prefer everything on it from the display to the features.. the iPhone feels a bit boring.
Everyone has personal preferences, but I don’t really get the obsession with bezels. Yes its more “good looking” but where’s the practically of it? I don’t want to be holding onto my screen whilst consuming multimedia. Also, although AMOLED is more vibrant and lively, an IPS display just adjusts itself more effectively to the eyes. When it comes to the camera, both are good, but the S9+ instantly applies a filter on your photos which you cannot remove. iPhone 8+ takes as realistic shots as possible, allowing you to tweak your shots after you’ve taken it. Filters on the S9+ cannot be removed. Another thing, the longevity of the iPhone 8+ I am sure will outdo that of the S9+, as we’ve seen over and over again and know exactly how long does Samsung take to show its true colors. I owned an S8+ for 6 months, and although it still works fine, I’ve experienced some lag that we normally shouldn’t from a 6 month old flagship device. Design again falls into preferences. I love the design of both the phones and the 8+ design doesn’t bother me one bit since I’ve never owned an iPhone before so this is something fresh for me. Also, the optimization on the 8+ will only get better as time goes by if Apple can keep their shit together. But I bet the S9+ will start feeling old 2 years from now, whilst I still hear many people enjoying their iPhone SE and others enjoying their iPhone 6S. Also, reports have come in suggesting that the new 11.3 IOS update has made old iPhones smoother, and not only that, but now you have the option to either give preference to battery or the performance of the phone on older devices which is great. As of now, Apple is heading to the right direction. We’ve seen again and again that the benchmark tests have proven the iPhone 8+ has better scores than the S9+, but the only reason the S9+ is on par with the iPhone 8+ is because of bad optimization on Apple’s part. And I hope 12.0 can change all of that too. Last but not least, you cannot go wrong with the explicit ecosystem of Apple. All in all, I’ve clearly stated how great the iPhone 8+ is. And its only to get better if we keep getting good updates like the new IOS 11.3 update. Overall, I can assure you all, that S9+ will start feeling old after a couple of years, but the iPhone 8+ will retain its longevity for a long time. And as I mentioned before, a prime example of that is how well even the iPhone 5s, SE and 6s have been received from their respective users. Coming from a guy who’s mainly in love with Stock Android, I think people should honestly give Apple more credit. And to date, the iPhone 8+ is the most complete iPhone there is, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who owns a 7+.
Bardamos Zecron Starog I have the 7 plus....now, the A11 isn't better? There's no difference apart from wireless charging and better speakers? Key me know... Thank you))
I've just sold my 8+ that I had for 7 months because I received a new 7+. After 8-9 years of owning iPhones, I want to sell this 7+ too and jump ship to the Android world haha. I'm considering a S9+, Pixel 2 XL, P20 Pro & OP6, Note 8. For now I just want to experiment and I feel I should get the 9+ if I want to resell it in a few months, because the Pixel 3 is launching very soon.. and the price for the 2 XL is kinda steep for a 1 year old device. But I feel like I would love the stock Android experience or the Oxygen OS.. so fuck this lol. Buying iPhone after iPhone is so simple, and honest to God I haven't had any issues with any of them in 9 fuckin years, they just worked perfectly. Let's see if the Droid Universe can keep me in it :)
I have a Samsung 9+ im thinking of switching to iPhone 8+ soon. I like my Samsung 9+ but the front camera isn't the best also when taking mirror pics and the quality on recording on apps like tiktok aren't great either. I love the back camera though when taking picture of my pets ,sunsets and objects. I've had this phone for 2 years and works just like the day I got it ❤
Probably the first video where the comments arent 95 percent apple haters. Its good to see that even though I just switched to the s9 plus, I definitely understand the iphones appeal
I have s7 best phone I have had so I'm getting the s9+ next 6 GB of ram New chip set I looked into the iPhone line up but just not good enough at all true story
I am having trouble to choose between these devices. Since the Samsung s6 I have used iPhone but the S9 plus looks great! Don’t know which to choose even after this video...
J. B. it all comes down to what you use your phone for if you like watching UA-cam or movies as well as take photos s9+ hands down of your using the phone for just phone use and apps then iPhone
So if you could get them for the same price: Would you buy an iPhone 8 Plus 256GB or a Samsung S9 (not +) 64GB? Also, do you know if either phone can use that flash storage for virtual memory? Thanks.
I have both iPhone 8 Plus and s9+. Having on using both phones for 3 week, I can say they're both pretty good. I'm a heavy user I play games and have tons of photo that consumes a lot of space. The display on the Samsung is no doubt much better and speakers. However for me there are 2 main things I want, long term quality and app optimazation. I notice when using the s9+ it is a bit laggy and I fear that in long term it might get worse. the quality on the s9+ is pretty good however it doesn't feel 'premium' ( is what everyone call it these days) as the iPhone 8 plus. the iPhone 8 plus does lack a few features which the s9+ has such as easy cusomtization but I honestly think its to maintain it's speed. Personally IMO the iPhone 8plus pros outweighs the con much more than the s8+.
I have the S9 plus and I hate the annoying dedicated button for bixby or whatever.. sooo annoying. Plus, the permenant bloatware... Also, I have an unlocked phone and I constantly get missed calls and texts on my tmobile service... only with this galaxy phone.. Im using my iphone 8 plus now and upgrading to the newest one in a few months... Im done with droids.
I remember four years ago when I was watching these kind of videos. I was debating whether to get the note 4 or an iPhone. the stats on the note four smashed everything on the iPhone by a mile. and back then...it looked so advanced. I thought that it would never ever get laggy and slow but the note 4 is just awful. it worked for the first year, then it just got so slow to a point where it was unusable. it just shut down on Me and never worked again. and this is the same with the s9. no matter how advanced it looks now, no matter how fast it looks, Samsungs ALWAYS gets so laggy to a point where you cant use it. when I got my note 4, it was considered the world's best and most advanced phone and so does the s9+. it smashes iPhone for every stat but all Samsungs are the same. they will lag and break with in two years of owning one. I have friends with iPhone 5's that still work perfectly well. so even tho the stats are worse on iPhone, it will last longer
Listen, if your's note 4 was laggy, that doesn't mean that all Samsung phones are laggy. I have Samsung and I'm glad I have it. It has never lagged recently and it has been working for two years. My opinion is, that Samsumg is better than iPhone, but it is just my opinion. I'm not that kind of a person that just says "oh, iPhone is a crap". Everyone likes something else.
I'm switching from the s8+ to the 8+. App updates take forever to show up...I barely got updates from 2-3 weeks ago on Android and that's starting to become a turn off to someone who is a heavy user.
aaronthestormtrooper good thing with the iPhone as an owner of the 8 Plus is knowing that everything has been made for that phone. Unlike androids with all the different manufacturers so some apps might work great with LG for example and some better with Samsung.. with iPhone you can guarantee the best optimisability. After owning one for a while now after having a galaxy s7 edge, I can say the iPhone is far more reliable, the camera is superior, it has not once frozen rebooted or crashed on an app. So I think you will enjoy your experience and ease of use which Apple nails. Good luck with the new phone :)
jachob69 oh yeah definitely! These take forever to get updates and don't get me wrong I love the s8 plus but it's really annoying at times and I'm looking forward to the iPhone! Thanks!!!
I am using samsung and I think that is the main reason I have astigmatism now. Hours of using samsung hurts my eyesn. And planning to purchase an iphone for my new phone next month.
Thanks for this video! I've been dying to find something like this because I have an iphone 6 but I've been debating on which phone to get. My iphone 6 is pretty much in mind condition but it keeps getting slower with each update. Lags when it shouldn't (just typing texts), messages come in out of order, takes forever to bring things up, siri no longer works right. It's a mess. Because of this, I started to think about getting a Galaxy S9. I don't like the idea of being constantly throttled to be forced to buy a new phone when my phone is mint condition for 2 1/2 years. But, I do love apple (don't love the lack of a headphone jack though), and I've had apple for 5 years, so all my purchased apps, notes, everything is on apple. Pretty sure this video made it harder to decide, both seem amazing. But, I'm still super happy for the video!
I am getting one of these two this spring and I am still on the fence about both. I know I don't want to go to X, or the latest Samsung. I want the new X to have a generation behind it. I'm getting close to iPhone, and Galaxy s9plus for husband.
Thinking about switching to S9+. Been using iPhone since 2007. Never uses Android phones at all. I like that almost everything on S9+ is screen with earphone jack + SD card slot .I lost my wireless earphones all the time and didnt like that i had to charge them.
Thank you Nick! However, I'm still confuse to pick one of them. Never use Android.. but would like to give it a try because the Android devices look extreamly cool, however... the Google Play Store really turn me off... compare to the App Store or ITunes.
did u switch? and everything is better on android except app quality, the quality of apps on android ill rate them as good and ill rate ios apps as perfect.
Honestly, I think iTunes is better than the Play store. Also, .m4a has better quality than a typical .mp3 and it uses less space. I have an Android but, I definitely use iTunes a lot more. The one thing I'm never down with though is syncing my phone through iTunes when I can easily just go through the File Explorer.
I want to buy the phone which has better output sound quality through headphones...I have skull candy hesh 3 and bose resolve plus. So which should I buy ?
I will going to buy which buy iPhone 8plus or s9+ I'm looking for good camera and no get lagging After a period of time please help me to choose guys?!!! 😕

Hello Nick .. I have a question regarding my iphone 8 plus purchase.. I was very confused between these two.. In terms of design 8 plus is nowhere near to s9.. Getting oled display , better resolution , edge to edge screen and most importantly (fast charger) in box.. But in apple for modern iphone the only option was iphone 10 but its too expensive.. I still went with 8 plus kind of in rush .. but now iam feeling low and annoyed cursing myself for what have i done.. Same big bezels outdated 4 years old design and spend extra for fast charge because apple do not provide it in the box .. it takes almost 3:30 hrs to charge from below 15% to 100%.. I dont know its a myth or fact people say samsung phones starts lagging and face battery issues as they get aged compared to iphones .. Iam regretting my decision of buying 8 plus.. So .. i want to ask its a fair buy or could have waited a little longer for s9 plus.. Purchased (28 feb 18)
Mridul Verma Mridul Verma That was the day after my birthday. You bought a better phone in the long run. Fast Charging causes the battery to wear out faster.
Baconface McGee .. Yes phone is amazing.. But i am pissed off in terms of design.. U spent $ 1118.36 and still get a 4 yrs old outdated design.. phone is kind of bulky and as the case is compulsory its makes it even bulkier .. Iphone 10 was the option but u have to pay almost $200 for it .. Its too expensive
Amazing comparison. Very helpful. You should do iPhone 8 Plus VS iPhone X which should you buy after 6 months. I know you did this before but maybe this not relevant for end of march 2018? I would love to see video like this 30 minutes with the iPhone 8 Plus VS iPhone X. Even iPhone 6S VS iPhone SE in 2018
Broken Shell Falter not, you made the correct choice. I don't know about you but I love the design of the 8+ quite a lot since I've never used an iPhone before and this is my first purchase of an iPhone. Also, pure raw power is more in the iPhone 8+, so if you're a heavy gamer who doesn't want to compromise performance overall, go with the iPhone. When it comes to the cameras, it's all about preferences. If you love taking realistic photos, the iPhone is the choice, otherwise the Samsung. My iPhone 8+ charges for some time but indeed delivers too when needed. I do heavy gaming on my phone and watch videos, whilst browsing the internet, and at the end of the day, at least 25% of my battery remains usually. Want a reliable phone which will keep on getting updates and fixes, the 8+ is the better choice. These Samsung phones feel good and new at first, only to start causing problems after 7-8 months of use. Durability on iPhone 8+ is better. Idk how u feel about IOS but i am loving the simplicity of it and am very pleased. I dont like the bezels of the phone, but it's hardly noticeable due to the large display present itself. Prefer vibrant colors? Go with the s9+. Want things to look really pleasing to the eye, go for the iPhone since the True Tone is really an underrated feature. Buttery smooth, fast, and it simply works flawlessly, while maintaining its simplistic yet elegant system. IOS might have problems due to which some weird stuff might happen in your phone like battery life draining faster, but that's to change with the infinite updates your phone keeps on receiving. Overall, want a robust phone which can continuously work for you without it feeling outdated? iPhone 8+ is the choice. Want a pleasing looking phone, which will show its true colors at a later stage? Go with the Samsung. Prefer to explore the beautiful prison of an IOS, or prefer do you prefer a post-apocalyptic world, where everything is easier to access, but nothing can be trusted much.. You show off your phone to people a lot and are a spec nerd? Samsung is the way to go. Want a phone thatll legit WORK, and for a long time at that, iPhone is the choice. Simplicity and elegance or technicality and gimmicks? Apple, or Samsung? The choice is yours
I love androids, and I think Samsung did an amazing job with the S9! I am just worried about the screen. I dropped my Samsung Edge 7 some time ago and the phone was over. I can't decide between the iPhone 8 or the Samsung s9. Samsung looks more efficient thinking about design, camera, display and overall look, but the screen is so sensitive to drops. There is also iMessage and Facetime on Ios. Argh! So hard!
I'm contemplating on which one to get as my s7 is already experiencing a minor screen burn. I had an iPhone in the past.. Now thinking whether I should go back knowing it uses LCD display which means I don't I have to worry about burn ins..
i have been using an iPhone SE since 2017 November, despite it being a budget phone and I buying it even after a year and a half since release, still not a single lag, and after IOS 12 update, it just became even faster! no regrets so far and I'm sure will not either! wonder how much cooler the iPhone 8 Plus should be? go for the iPhone dudes! dont get deceived by looks, it happened to me with the s7 edge, just 1 year and the screen died for a "not even god knowing" reason!!!
I'm really curious about the battery drain test. I need a new phone. But battery life is really important to. So if you could help me out which to chose based on better battery life I'd be really greatful.
I am an iPhone person , I currently have the iPhone 6s plus and idk if it’s because I’ve had it for a while but it’s been freezing a lot .. I reset it or press the side button and it won’t stop freezing , so rn I’m debating whether to buy the iPhone 8+ or the s9+ .. I’m scared of having the same problem with iPhone again
my first iphone was the 4 when it had just came out and I sticked with it until the iphone 6+ came out and my iphone 4 was still working just fine so I sold it and got some of my money back and bought a second hand 6+ few months after it came out and I still have it but I'm planning to upgrade to the 8plus once the XS would come out so the prices would drop hehe but the point is if you take care of your phone nothing would happen to it ! and you can always sell it and get some of your money back most of the time more than half the price you payed for it especially if you don't stick with it for long. This is not something you can do with Samsung so for me sticking with iphones are a a better deal but that's just my opinion
I’m not sure as I aways on insta and social media I like to take photos n I like big big screens what should I get. Also where is the fingerprint on Samsung?
I’m a iPhone 6 64gb user for 4 years now and I need to upgrade. I’m considering buying the S9+ just becaude I’m sick of the iPhone (6 to 8) design (both hardware and software) and I just want something really new. iPhone X is too expensive and I’m afraid that I’ll regret buying the S9+ because of it’s low resale value, poor instagram camera optimization and people saying that in 2 years it will be laggy and it will not receive updates (from Android Pie or the new android after that)
I came here because I wanted to know if iPhone X, iPhone 7+ or, Galaxy S9 was better for me. I want to try to play Fortnite, I want live photos, I listen to a lot of music, I play lots of games, I use the flashlight when it's dark and, I would like to take some pictures of stars when I see them. Which phone fits me?
Someone help me whats better. I wanna choose Iphone 8plus because of garage band but I wanted to choose samsung s9 cuz of how more convenient it is than apple. ps. I've been using iPhone since 2017
Gabriel Boria yes, but other UA-camrs are comparing 8 Plus with s9 Plus as 8 Plus’ RAM mgmt is much better than X’s because of low screen res which would mean that less data has to be kept in memory per application!
Someone did a test, both are faster on different apps as expected. 8Plus loads browser faster tho in his test. This is why i have no idea which i should get.
Both phones seems to be great,, I'm using s9 phone now and I love it but I want a large screen phone which one should I get iPhone 8plus or s9plus? And a prefect camera
You know all my life I’ve had android I mean I’m all for it but it’s the same thing with all of them. After a while they become super laggy and slow. I just got the iPhone 8 Plus and I love it too. In my opinion both are amazing phones and I wanted to try iPhones this time. My friend has had the iPhone 6 and it still works in great condition to this day. I feel if Samsung could fix the whole slowing down process and making my apps crash constantly it would be #1
Paddy Raven Samsung claims to support their devices for two years. iPhone supports them often a bit longer. In my experience iOS does not get as laggy over time BUT Samsung has improved a lot over time. I do not think you can go wrong with either of these.
J. B. In my experience iOS gets laggy after 3rd major update and on. I've been with apple since first iPhone. They slow down. I cant say the 8 won't because I switched away from apple now because I couldn't stand the lag and freezing on my last 2 iPhones. In my experience though iPhones lag over time as well, in my case the phone was not usable. I'm a heavy user as well. I have note 8 now and it is handling everything perfectly. I've hand little stutters a couple times since launch but no freezing. Just little skips at worst so far at worst and it is rare. its technology, Its gonna happen. I don't know about samsung getting lag yet because I've updated my sisters s7 qhd ir was my lagging at all. So maybe back in the day they lagged but idk so much now. Just my experience though. If I do ever get laggy though atleast I have the option to root and go back to stock and get rid of all the lag and then just update all the apps back up to date and be right back to where I was but minus the lag and some features. It's just nice to have options if something does happen, but I don't think it will as I'm running smooth still.
He definitely made it clear which phone he personally liked better.. which lead to an over opinionated review leaning heavily on the s9+. Not fair for 🍎
It's not just a personal preference. Samsung is the better phone in every aspect. Ever opened one ?. The Apple design is old fashioned. They have like billions of screws inside. Lot of different sizes and length. The workers who put these together must go crazy with all the bits and pieces. Samsung instead has only 15 screws, all the same size. A lot is glued together. Much smarter production friendly construction. What comes to raw technical specs, Samsung wins in every spec. The looks, iPhone looks outdated a phone from the past. Samsung in the contrary, phone from the future.
I'm here watching phone videos because I've been with Samsung for 4 years and they all LAG after 6 months!! I'm SICK AND TIRED OF IT. My last iPhone was the 5s and it never lagged, ever. I'm done.
I've tried 2 s9+ phones and finally gave up due to the camera produces very poor/blurry pictures when taking pictures of moving objects and I tried all camera modes available. I want a good camera to take pictures of my kids. I am sure you know kids don't stay still. Other than that, the s9+ is awesome. But I wouldn't recommend the s9+ if you're planning to take pictures in sport/action mode.
I just recently switched from an iPhone 6 to a Samsung S9 plus and I have the same issue with photos being blurry even when I am trying to stay still or it will soften my face and I don't like that. I like pictures to look "crisp" like on the iPhone. I respect the Samsung s9+ but due to the blurry photos or even at night, taking a photo with auto flash on produces an overly bright photo and there does not seem to be a way to tone the flash down. The camera setting is extremely important to me because its one of the main functions I'll be using on a phone. For this reason, I am thinking of switching to an iPhone 8+ or even iPhone X.
U dont know Nothing about S9... U can change shutterspeed for fast moving subjects... And it is 100 times better than iphone. Learn some basics for photography first then u can speak. U and the other applefans
Can some help me.. I currently have the IPhone 6s and I wanna get another phone. What should I get the s9+ or ip8+ I don’t know which one to get.. If I do get the s9+ I would be only one in my fam to have a android and I have been an IPhone user for about 5 years now.. *Sorry for my bad grammar*
I just got the S9+ and I feel disappointed with the sound quality of phone calls, for greetings and for receiving calls. It is hard to hear the other person. Much less crisp than with my older iPhone. Does anyone know about the bad sound quality for phone calls? Otherwise sound for music is wonderful.
I'm switching to the 8+ but kinda scared to try the 8+ out. I'm definitely tired of my S8+ lagging.i only had this for About 8 months. There's lots of features that I'm use to on the s8+ that the iPhones don't have. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO 🤦🏽♂️😭
NeRdYiEs I just got my iPhone 8+, and bro... this phone is absolutely beast. You’ll love it. I previously owned a galaxy s6 E+, but you’ll still love it
It’s kinda difficult to switch from android to iOS in the beginning because android phone can do so much things. But trust me, you would love the simplicity of iOS after a long time usage. However, I’m stuck between s9+ and i8 Plus now cos I’m bored of Apple. I really don’t like the UI in Samsung phones 😩
I’m using iPhone 8 Plus (former android user) and I’m tempted to trade in my phone for s9+ for $200 here in Dubai. Will I go for the S9+ for the beautiful screen, headphone jack but poor battery?
I would’ve gone for the s9+, but i got an Apple Watch half off while buying the iPhone 8+. I 100% prefer the android interface to iOS, but that half priced watch got me. XD
Using a S9 plus for 2 weeks. And I would say that It was a wonderful and very awesome phone. It's really fast and the battery can last for a day. I didn't regret that I purchased and bought this phone. I really love it. 5 Stars for this phone. 😊
how is it doing now?
@@AssertiontoThrone I've had the s9 for almost two years now. It works just as well as the first day I got it, and it's true! The battery lasts for so long.
Joshua Philip Grafil i have s9 exynos and I regret daily from last two years. Never buying samsung phone again 👎🏻
Wheeljack gaming you can buy a Samsung phone with a snapdragon chip, it will make it better
@@Bholapubg59 (S)he has(d) the S9+, not the S9.
iPhone for one simple reason: Applications! The apps I use everyday (even every hour) as Instagram or Snapchat are better optimized for iOS. But sure, the S9 or Note 8 are beasts and great phones.
Khaled Sid ikr I still don’t know what one to choose
TheNazer_ Same! I like the design of s9 plus better. What are your considerations in choosing between these devices?
TheNazer_ bruh get a iPhone and save yourself from headaches 2 years down the line. Plus higher resale value. This is coming from someone who's been an android user their whole life, I'm just sick of Android.
That's because developers privilege Apple.
Man, still not sure .... they both great...so hard to decide :/
If they are both great, you won't regret what you choose.
But i will help you, Go for the S9+, and i promise you you will LOVE IT.
max sandance do you have this phone? I am also struggling in the decision. How is peformance?
I had an iphone 5 before, so keep that in mind when reading this.
I've only had it for a month now, and i can't keep my hands off it. it's fast and can do games so good.
I only use it for music games and what'sapp. and what i really like about it, which the iphone can't do is, you can put your personality into it, like customize it and stuff, it's like my own bedroom if you get what i mean.
10/10 best phone in 2018.
max sandance Thanks! I think I would love the screen since I am coming from an iPhone se which basically has the same screen as the iPhone 5....
I swtiched from iPhone 7 plus to S9 plus and so far Im really liking it the display is so much better and its more comfortable to hold in hand than 7 plus but since its my first time using android it took quite some time to get used to it nonetheless i dont regret it
Just bought the S9plus two weeks ago...man what a beast of a phone. 😁
ALL POWER TO THE DROIDS 🤖
Lol I just got a S9 a few weeks ago. AND WAY BETTER THAN THE S7 🤣
@@sandia2225 I upgraded from S5 to S9 plus... Day and night difference
EPIC BLASIAN is it true that the stories on Instagram doesn't work well on the s9 plus
How are they for video calls?
Since ya had both , been an Apple user for awhile , do you think I should get 8+ or S9+ . Almost everybody says S9+ but I’m still not sure .
hlias P s9 will be shit in 2 years in two while the iPhone will be fine, coming from an android user
iPhone 8 Plus. You can't go wrong with an iPhone.
I am so tired of having iPhone, same thing all the time. I tried Samsung and you get more, love the text messaging on the Samsung.
Love the iPhone 8+!!
an actual human being. thank you.
I really appreciate this simple video yet informative and to the point. Especially with no annoying background music, just the necessary narration that's all. Please keep your content like this thank u very much
I own both phones. I think they are both great 👍🏼 but I prefer the s9 a little more because the screen is larger and it’s just more comfortable for me
I also have both. Silver iphone 8 plus and grey s9 plus. S9 wins by far... I just prefer everything on it from the display to the features.. the iPhone feels a bit boring.
@@brandonnel6905 what about taking photo and recording video? I'm choosing now between them.
@@brandonnel6905 the s9 if you drop it the screen will just shatter that is what bezels are for dumdum
Why would someone have both phones ?
Brandon Nel what about camra in night
Bardamos Zecron Starog My only question is. Should I get an iPhone 8plus or a iPhone 7plus ? I’m upgrading from a 4s
This comment did not age well at all
Josh Gaming I bought a regular iPhone 8 from Walmart and they sent me an 8 plus so I’d check there it was 317 usd brand new
I got an 8 plus and i love it, the best phone I've ever owned. Not going for the Xs, Xs Max or the XR, not worth it. Iphone 8 plus is pure brilliance.
Should I still get the 8plus over the s9+, how did it go in the last two years
I have a Samsung 9+ im thinking of switching to iPhone 8+ soon. I like my Samsung 9+ but the front camera isn't the best also when taking mirror pics and the quality on recording on apps like tiktok aren't great either. I love the back camera though when taking picture of my pets ,sunsets and objects. I've had this phone for 2 years and works just like the day I got it ❤
i really want the s9 but oled makes my head get a headache, so i went with the 8 plus
I have a Galaxy 9+ and it’s a beast about all reasons☝️💪💪
Probably the first video where the comments arent 95 percent apple haters. Its good to see that even though I just switched to the s9 plus, I definitely understand the iphones appeal
Very in-depth I appreciate this video, thank you.
I have s7 best phone I have had so I'm getting the s9+ next 6 GB of ram New chip set I looked into the iPhone line up but just not good enough at all true story
How are they for video calls?
I watch all Nick's videos 2 or 3 times. So so informative. He really knows his iPhone and Android devices and always gives an unbiased opinion.
I got the iphone 8 plus and i dont regret it
Why
You should definitely do a speed test between these two. Every speed test is between the iPhone X and s9 but the 8+ is faster than the X
Ryan Pavey sometimes it's faster sometimes it's slower
^wrong
Ryan Pavey IPhone X is 1125P
I am having trouble to choose between these devices. Since the Samsung s6 I have used iPhone but the S9 plus looks great! Don’t know which to choose even after this video...
J. B. Same as me because I like updates and smoothness on iPhone which I want too rest S9 plus I like
J. B. it all comes down to what you use your phone for if you like watching UA-cam or movies as well as take photos s9+ hands down of your using the phone for just phone use and apps then iPhone
when you said ok google my google activated 😂😂
So if you could get them for the same price: Would you buy an iPhone 8 Plus 256GB or a Samsung S9 (not +) 64GB? Also, do you know if either phone can use that flash storage for virtual memory? Thanks.
So, which one has a better battery (especially for playing heavy games), iPhone 8 plus or s9 plus?
Well done Nick, your video is beautiful, interesting and helpful to choose between the two devices!
Apple Always
Well, Im reading your comment on my note 4... god knows how long I've been keeping this phone bc it's still snappy for me
This unfortunately is the truth.
reading this on my s5
Listen, if your's note 4 was laggy, that doesn't mean that all Samsung phones are laggy. I have Samsung and I'm glad I have it. It has never lagged recently and it has been working for two years. My opinion is, that Samsumg is better than iPhone, but it is just my opinion. I'm not that kind of a person that just says "oh, iPhone is a crap". Everyone likes something else.
I'm switching from the s8+ to the 8+. App updates take forever to show up...I barely got updates from 2-3 weeks ago on Android and that's starting to become a turn off to someone who is a heavy user.
aaronthestormtrooper you’ll like it
RagingTiger thanks! I'm looking forward to the change.
aaronthestormtrooper good thing with the iPhone as an owner of the 8 Plus is knowing that everything has been made for that phone.
Thanks!!!
aaronthestormtrooper you'll lose on the hardware side in every area
I am using samsung and I think that is the main reason I have astigmatism now. Hours of using samsung hurts my eyesn. And planning to purchase an iphone for my new phone next month.
Well both phones are good but i pick iphone 8+ for the reason of longer time used ...
Which one would be better for making videos?
Have a galaxy S9+ in coral blue but thinning about getting the iPhone 8 plus? Worth it? I love Samsung pay though.
I like that almost everything on S9+ is screen with earphone jack + SD card slot .I lost my wireless earphones all the time and didnt like that i had to charge them.
which has a better camera in terms of colour and clearness? are there more selfie options in the samsung?
Hey Nick, would you consider the regular S9 a worthy opponent to the iPhone 8 plus? Asking for a friend.
Nice video Nick and the time coding really helps😍😍😍
Thank you Nick! However, I'm still confuse to pick one of them. Never use Android.. but would like to give it a try because the Android devices look extreamly cool, however... the Google Play Store really turn me off... compare to the App Store or ITunes.
did u switch? and everything is better on android except app quality, the quality of apps on android ill rate them as good and ill rate ios apps as perfect.
Honestly, I think iTunes is better than the Play store. Also, .m4a has better quality than a typical .mp3 and it uses less space. I have an Android but, I definitely use iTunes a lot more. The one thing I'm never down with though is syncing my phone through iTunes when I can easily just go through the File Explorer.
king bogle I keep using my App store & ITunes, after a very long decision...
TR0LLBUSTER do you mean you can put iTunes on Android and use it as you were using it on iPhone?
marie massiot
I wish there was. Since iTunes ended DRM in 2009, it allowed the use of iTunes music on Android devices.
I want to buy the phone which has better output sound quality through headphones...I have skull candy hesh 3 and bose resolve plus. So which should I buy ?
I had the s9 plus I went for the 8 plus and fell in love with it it’s my favorite iPhone
I will going to buy which buy iPhone 8plus or s9+ I'm looking for good camera and no get lagging After a period of time please help me to choose guys?!!! 😕
i have a s9 plus but im digging the the iphone 8 plus should i get it would like some input
Not much info about the front camera =/ its a deciding factor simply because I take many selfies =/
Then u go for iPhone 8 Plus
For selfie lovers go for the iphone.
S9+ front camera is 8mp I have it. Its great
Which can be used for longer duration ?
I mean life span ! Please tell

I have iPhone 8+ should I switch to s9 plus?? I’ve watched many vids but didn’t make up my mind yet.
This is a great review. Thank you bery much man!
Argh! So hard!
I went with s9 plus for the capacity to be honest 256gb internal + 128gb SD card
Thank you for the review really good one I'm goona buy the 9 plus
No it sucks
Watching this on my iPhone 7.

Vincent Aleaga hahahahahha
One of the biggest comparisons ever! Appreciate it
Holy sh*t I just looked at every comment

Which is better device bro i phone or s9+? im confused help me
I have the iPhoneX but decided every iPhone I’ve had doesn’t work after a while so switching to S9+
Satanic Bloodline Samsung does the same thing. Doesn't last long
Lakendra Landon what? I still use my s7 perfectly
I'm still using my old Samsung Galaxy S4, I came here to decide between these two phones.
@@Zgjimik get the s9 trust me
my first iphone was the 4 when it had just came out and I sticked with it until the iphone 6+ came out and my iphone 4 was still working just fine so I sold it and got some of my money back and bought a second hand 6+ few months after it came out and I still have it but I'm planning to upgrade to the 8plus once the XS would come out so the prices would drop hehe but the point is if you take care of your phone nothing would happen to it ! and you can always sell it and get some of your money back most of the time more than half the price you payed for it especially if you don't stick with it for long. This is not something you can do with Samsung so for me sticking with iphones are a a better deal but that's just my opinion
I still dont know what to pick
It was a really helpful video tho

What did you choose?
S9 will make u feel special. Its better than iphone
manu gawri How sad that you need an inanimate object to make you feel special. 😞
MsRose00 BAM! THAT HAPPENED!!!
manu gawri Opinion.
Asap 2027777 Tehe.
manu gawri I don’t need a phone for that
S9+ can do 4k 60 as well
I’m not sure as I aways on insta and social media I like to take photos n I like big big screens what should I get. Also where is the fingerprint on Samsung?
The iPhone 8+ plus is amazing, I used to own galaxys but they all had issues later... lag, slow, everything got slow with galaxys
Yes samsung slow down when it gets old unlike the Iphones regarding with the age still runs fast.
You are just to dump to use phones... omg
@@johnroedbacting6620 say that to my iphone 4 and ipad air. Lag lag lag and slowww.
OMG Iphone 4 Really?? hahaha What generations are you in?
I wanna choose Iphone 8plus because of garage band but I wanted to choose samsung s9 cuz of how more convenient it is than apple.
ps. I've been using iPhone since 2017
Please do a speedtest between these 2 phones
Thank you!
Aditya N Rao he did with the iPhone X
Gabriel Boria yes, but other UA-camrs are comparing 8 Plus with s9 Plus as 8 Plus’ RAM mgmt is much better than X’s because of low screen res which would mean that less data has to be kept in memory per application!
Someone did a test, both are faster on different apps as expected. 8Plus loads browser faster tho in his test. This is why i have no idea which i should get.
Both phones seems to be great,, I'm using s9 phone now and I love it but I want a large screen phone which one should I get iPhone 8plus or s9plus? And a prefect camera
Let me know about battery on s9 plus. iPhone 8 Plus I get around 9 to 10 hrs usage.
Zachary Wright on S7 edge I get 12-13 hours of usage
Compare these numbers. (larger is better)
iPhone 8+ - 2751 mah (sorry if I am incorrect I forgot)
S9+ - 3500mah
Whimsical Mage3 i currently have a 7edge so you're lying or not a heavy user.
Which one has the better gaming processor & battery life?
Iphone
You know all my life I’ve had android I mean I’m all for it but it’s the same thing with all of them. After a while they become super laggy and slow. I just got the iPhone 8 Plus and I love it too. In my opinion both are amazing phones and I wanted to try iPhones this time. My friend has had the iPhone 6 and it still works in great condition to this day. I feel if Samsung could fix the whole slowing down process and making my apps crash constantly it would be #1
I like the S9 more as a phone but i like iOS better, despite its restrictions, its compatibility, simplicity and clean design is better in my opinion.
Okay so in June 2019 my exams finish, should I go for the s9 plus or the iPhone 8+
Its july haha! What did u get after all? Im waiting to recieve my iphone 8 plus
@@Happylonewolf did you like your decision?
Tucker 213 i love it tbh its so fast the calera is awesome im in love with it.
@@Happylonewolf awesome. Ill probably get one thid upcoming hopiday season
I havent decide yet. Can u guys tell me ehich to buy ?
In terms of longevity, how does both compare???
Essumer any updates?Dose the note 8 lags now?
Castana Sebi nope, mine is just as fast as when I first got it! Very happy with it :)
Essumer great,i'm just gonna buy a s9 then
Just got the S9 and man I can't put it down I love this phone
Galaxy S9 Plus For The Win!!! Get More For Your Money!!!
btw s9 also has 4k at 60fps , stabilized
Yes Phil I noticed this as well there is an issue with that for this I recommend Googles Pixel 2 XL which does a much better job in this situation
So would you say the iPhone does better for this particular issue compared to the s9?
Phil Nguyen I also had the same issue and then disposed s9+ and bought iPhone 8 Plus
I love iPhone 8 Plus
Jay White I love my PRODUCT RED iPhone 7!
I love my iPhone 8 plus.This phone is amazing❤️
Jay White i kontol
I'm love it because of how unworthy it is of its price tag
Which one is more durable s9 plus or iphone 8 plus ?
I just got the S9+ and I feel disappointed with the sound quality of phone calls, for greetings and for receiving calls. It is hard to hear the other person. Much less crisp than with my older iPhone. Does anyone know about the bad sound quality for phone calls? Otherwise sound for music is wonderful.
nice explanation , but when comparing each section try to run videos etc...on both , most of the time u r only showing home screen on both.
Both are premium smartphone, but the 8 plus processor is faster and the s9 screen is better.
I'm switching to the 8+ but kinda scared to try the 8+ out. I'm definitely tired of my S8+ lagging.i only had this for About 8 months. There's lots of features that I'm use to on the s8+ that the iPhones don't have. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO 🤦🏽♂️😭
I'm about to switch to 8+ from my samsung s8+, please let me know how is it for u.
Galxy s9 is a lot more optimized, i had an s8 and i can definitely tell the difference, also coming from iphone 7
I really don’t like the UI in Samsung phones 😩
justlivin 2k17 how s8+ lagging I’ve tried it for 9 months it doesn’t lagged to me
I’m using iPhone 8 Plus (former android user) and I’m tempted to trade in my phone for s9+ for $200 here in Dubai. Will I go for the S9+ for the beautiful screen, headphone jack but poor battery?
Can you make a comparsion of these two now in 2020 plz?
For Photographing : S9+
For Everyday life : iPhone 8+
I would’ve gone for the s9+, but i got an Apple Watch half off while buying the iPhone 8+. I 100% prefer the android interface to iOS, but that half priced watch got me. XD
I had my S7 edge in asia then we moved to US, I'm kinda confused which one I'll get. I wanna try the IOS but I'm not used to it. What can u suggest?
At some point I’m going to get the s9 every since the stuiped update of the 12.0.1 my phone has messed up! I’m done with Apple!
