Hi Torogi, have you tried to connect the Ubiquiti AP to a TP-Link PoE switch? My switch does not show the AP IP address making it impossible to set up my Ubiquity. I was able to configure it by connecting the AP directly to my ISP router. Is there a way to configure the AP while connecting to my switch?

So I have a few of these where I live. They have been working extremely well, until the power went out and back on. Now I’ve gone from getting 500mbs to not even a full 1mb. Is there something you have to do if power goes out or if the router gets unplugged?
So if I have an existing wireless router this will work in conjunction with that? Essentially doing what a mesh network does except this is wired? I won't have two separate networks, one for my router and one for my AP?
Looks awesome and easy to install setup. My Q is that you connect your AP to your router in order to activate it in a way and then if you want the AP to be to a specific area or room you just take it and plug it to the room u like correct ? They don’t need to be wired to the router...or this is a catch?

Can ordinary switch hub or router like tp link will do?..
Install the unifi software into your then use it to discover unifi.

Yes you need a router / firewall. Unifi also makes them to go with the AP's

Hi I connected ap lan directly to service provider modem lan port ,I only getting internet in one device,and other devices connected to ap says no internet connection.some help here please do I need a extra switch ?
Did you have luck fixing this? I have similar problem. Not sure if firewall or ports have something to do this it. Connecting to a vpn has issues
Why can't you directly plug a power over Ethernet into the switch instead of having to use an additional adapter.
Because not all switches have PoE capabilities, and also there are different PoE standards (different voltage and power). So you might have a compatible PoE switch or you might not.
