    TOWER: Cherokee 52…
TOWER: Cherokee 5208W, roger, I’m paintinga river right off your 12 o’clock in about half of a mile.
N5208W: Yeah, I can put it down in the water if I have to.
TOWER: Cherokee 5208W, roger, do you see any clear landing spaces out there?
N5208W: It looks a lot of tall grass…
TOWER: Cherokee 5208W, roger, I still got you loud and clear. Just…
    TOWER: Stay with me and…
N5208W: I’m at less than 500, I’m gonna have to put it down in the water, I think.
    TOWER: Cherokee 5208W, roger.
N162LM: Savannah Tower, Cessna 162LM, switching over you, we’re looking for that aircraft in the water though. You want us to?
TOWER: Alright, Cessna 162LM, yeah, I’m showing it right off your right side. Probably about at your 1 o’clock, approaching your 3 o’clock and probably west in a quarter of mile.
N162LM: Okay, yup, we got him. We’re right… We’re right over the top of him.

    THE VALUE OF THIS VIDEO:
THE MAIN VALUE IS EDUCATION. This reconstruction will be useful for actual or future air traffic controllers and pilots, people who plan to connect life with aviation, who like aviation. With help of this video reconstruction you’ll learn how to use radiotelephony rules, Aviation English language and general English language (for people whose native language is not English) in situation in flight, which was shown. THE MAIN REASON I DO THIS IS TO HELP PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND EVERY EMERGENCY SITUATION, EVERY WORD AND EVERY MOVE OF AIRCRAFT.
SOURCES OF MATERIAL, LICENSES AND PERMISSIONS:
Source of communications - www.liveatc.net/ (I have a permission (Letter) for commercial use of radio communications from LiveATC.net).
Map, aerial pictures (License (ODbL) ©OpenStreetMap -www.openstreet...) Permission for commercial use, royalty-free use.
Radar screen (In new versions of videos) - Made by author.
Text version of communication - Made by Author.
Video editing - Made by author.
    HOW I DO VIDEOS:
    1) I monitor media, airspace, looking for any non-standard, emergency and interesting situation.
    2) I find communications of ATC unit for the period of time I need.
    3) I take only phrases between air traffic controller and selected flight.
    4) I find a flight path of selected aircraft.
    5) I make an animation (early couple of videos don’t have animation) of flight path and aircraft, where the aircraft goes on his route.
    6) When I edit video I put phrases of communications to specific points in video (in tandem with animation).
    7) Together with my comments (voice and text) I edit and make a reconstruction of emergency, non-standard and interesting situation in flight.

Before the engine failure, it seemed like a check-ride with all of the multiple instructions, lol. Impressed with how well the student pilot handled everything.

If he hadn't dropped the f bomb in there you wouldn't even know he was nervous. Great awareness and situational control though.

I read that he didn't move fuel feed over to the tank that had the fuel so actually could have been avoided

Did he by chance turn the fuel off instead of switching tanks to the fullest tank? Nice job handling the emergency, however I hope it wasn’t self induced

I'm not going to make it. Going in the river.....that had a familiar ring to it.

Can’t help but feel that if Dan Gryder was to DTSB this one it would say- probable cause: fuel starvation.

This was yet another student pilot not checking fuel before he took off. Not an engine failure, but a pilot failure.

If the ATC would have just let the guy land, this likely wouldn't have happened :/

Yah, that's what I tought... Maaaaybe pilot had just enough fuel to land (bad thing on its own) and with all that re-sequencing, he got distracted & didn't check how the tank was doing...?

      Not ATC's fault.
I think the controller wanted to give the student a lot of time and space, rather than forcing him in between two planes (even though there was ample space).
