The Mind of a Chef
Narrated by Executive Producer Anthony Bourdain, The Mind of a Chef combines cooking, travel, history, humor, art and science into a cinematic journey, each episode capturing another glorious flicker from the mind of its subject and focusing on what it truly means to cook, think, create and live in the food-obsessed world that is The Mind of a Chef.
I miss Anthony, thank you for this reminder. i wish he understood the joy he brought to others. i wish he had more joy for him self to continue.
I'm so glad Bourdain got to do what he did for food and education. The combo of him and Chang is so wonderful. So much respect for both
Very sweet seeing baby Chang and hearing the voice of The late great Anthony Bourdain 😢
I miss Anthony Bourdain like many others. I still like watching old episodes of his various TV shows. I love his humor. God bless him.
I was not prepared to Anthony’s voice popping up. Man he will truly remain a legend.
I rewatch mind of a chef every 6 ish months and cry.. now I watch DCs new live show on Netflix called Dinner Time Live .. new episodes every Tuesday. I don’t think people realize how hard that would be to pull off. Love this man and I miss Anthony like a best friend
First 2 seasons of The Mind of a Chef are the best. Made me love David Chang and Ramen.
RIP Anthony Bourdain We miss you brother! The cooking world has never been the same since you left us!

大勝軒の山岸さんをここで見られるとは…He passed away in 2015. RIP Master Yamagishi.
love David Chang--you have to watch him make noodles by hand. It is a show extraordinaire. He's a magician, throwing them around ...armfulls swinging like ropes
The Mind Of A Chef with David Chang was an astounding food series and nothing he's made since has come close to it, except for maybe the greatest food magazine ever made, Lucky Peach.
I miss Chef Bourdain so much!
David Chang is a master in his own right❤

Man, David said something that made me realize why Japanese and Italian cuisine are my absolute favorites: They both have their roots in humble home recipes to help people get by, and they elevate those dishes into something special. There's a lot of history and love put in to every single dish in both food cultures, and it really comes through in the flavor.
I travelled to Japan a couple of times and had the best food of my life there. The ramen, sushi and tonkatsu are out of this world. Even the noodles dinners at 7/11 were delicious. I went to a really small mom and pop place where they served egg sandwiches and they were the best that I ever had. I told the lady as much in my very poor Japanese and she was super happy and started to ask us where we were from etc. I hope I can go back again someday and eat all the foods again!
Mediocrity knows nothing higher than itself, but talent instantly recognizes genius.
Had the privilege of dining at this Taishoken on my japan trip about 4 years ago. That tsukemen still left a lasting impact. I want some more!!!
I’ve been cooking now for about 9 years…since I was in High School…this repost reminded me of a fact that I thought of very often in my first few years in the industry…I decided to do this because of these guys
