This is a good reminder take the time and listen closer to those type signals because the next time out Ill likely be going with my 800 to a park that has been hunted a lot. I know there still has to be good stuff there and digging those strange tones may help to find them. Great video and that 3030 still looks like a great detector.
I have hunted a yard that I have permission ,3 times I have yet to find any silver coins, the coins are getting less and less but they are getting older, they started out in the 2000,and then dropped down to just below 2000,the last time I was there I dug a 1967 quarter, now I am going in and dig pretty much as you are ,the house was built in 1952,and was some kind of a girls retreat at one time ,so I still belive there is some silver coins there, and the coins I am findining now are a lot deeper ,I think the coins and trash have been stacked year after year, and after digging arrowheads at 6ft deep I still belive the silver is there ,I just hope I can get down to it .KEEP ON DIGGIN
Signal bias, I like that Scott. I have been swinging the D1 and Equinox so long I have signal bias. Time for a new machine!! Only time I chase those iffy signals now is on an old colonial homestead on a mountain or in deep forest with no modern trash. Pays off on occasion. Fun vid man!!!!!
Well, I did get out to that park this evening for about hour and a half and was concentrating mainly on the mixed iffy signals in areas with a lot of iron and trash. I dug some nails, which I haven't in a long time, usually passing up those type of iffy targets. Also, the usual aluminum trash. So, I ended up with 4 pennies, a dime and couple other targets. But one of those pennies was a 1919 wheat cent which I didn't know till I got home because it was already dark when I found it. I was kind of blown away because that might be my oldest wheat cent ever, but definitely for that park, which was founded many years later. I hope to post some of this hunt when I can find the time. I only have a few videos so far. All that said, thanks for the inspiration and all the great videos!
Awesome, I'll have another video up soon where I'm not using pitch and I think you might do better. I just stayed in Sensitive and changed the 3rd tone frequency to 930 Hz. I still continue to dig those iffy targets and had much better success.
Same comment as one of the comment posters that noticed a layering effect of the targets in the soil at some of the homesites I’ve detected. The newer trash/targets mask the older targets so it all has to come out to find the older stuff. 😎
Love this vid. I always wonder if those iffy signals could be someone’s big fat gold ring clipped on there keychain? Thanks for posting. Also wondering what a mason jar lid would sound like on a stash of coins? Would drive a detector nuts with all the tones but what a cool find that would be. 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
I know I need to hit some of those iffy signals more often. Two of the farms I hunt CW relics on is littered with aluminum can slaw. Sounds just like a button or a bullet!
Great!!. Yes, the ctx delivers. I have been using this for years. I had a equinox 800 and xp deus ll. But sold. Not the same like the ctx. The only hope is that the Manticore can deliver something like the ctx. Just my opinion....... People always talking about that the ctx is old. So what? Just a little slower, but a new firmware could speed it up
The CTX is still a great machine and I really enjoy using it even though my preference is the D2 now but there is nothing wrong with the CTX and like you said, it might process signals slower but it finds silver like no other machine I have ever used and its great on the beach in wet sand too.
Ctx great indeed, A thrue deeper coins machine with lots of knobs and settings to play / adjust .. Slower means nothing . I mean , rather take time to enjoy detecting then in a hurry … same as Se….x Low & slow .. nothing wrong with that😎 Used a fair amount of detectors but this machine is different , its scary stable in its id department.
Digging it all....I wish I would have had that philosophy 15 years ago instead of now....this old body isn't what it use to be.....I need a workout facility like you have (I actually have one, does no good though just staring at it every other day)

There is more there for sure. I hope you find the silver. Good luck and thank you for sharing.

Nice to see another episode of the CTX being a CTX. There really IS something to this old battle axe, you just have to see it to believe it.
Its still a great machine. I enjoy using it. Thanks for watching!
*_Cool Brother- gots Me fired-up for the fall Campaign._*
We are in it now my friend best of luck to you!

It really does thanks my friend for watching I appreciate your comment.
I like my sunray pinpointer on my etracs. When in the hole I hear the same sounds as my coil.
Hey if it works for you then use it. Nothing wrong with that at all. Thank for watching!
Great video. Ive been digging the iffy for a bit now and have been finding lots of trash as well as treasure. Got to digger all.
Yep 100% agree. Thanks for watching!
I have been surprised more than once
Same here :-)

We're gonna find that mason jar full of coins someday. Lets hope they aren't just Lincolns LOL. Thanks for watching!

Get that can slaw out Jerry you might be surprised.

May I ask what that shovel is you are using?
Oh how I love that shovel. I even wrote up a product review on it. Here is the link mentalmetaldetecting.com/stuline-36-t-handle-shovel-review/

What can I say to that?... nothing LOL.
@@MentalMetal that's right....cuz you do the same thing lol
Depends on where I am hunting
Awesome video!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
