    Ctx is vintage but as anything old it was built to last and will always be up there with the best 👌

    Iv Used nearly every machine on the market since Early 2000s , including Deus2 , and the NOX , many good machine's, but I always come back to the CTX legend of a machine once you master it 😉

    That pitch hold with threshold should give evidence of deeper targets outside the signal range, just like the Excal.

      @@kennethhuffman2288 the coil reads front to back down the center column, the width of the center column. The signal curves slightly in to center at bottom of signal. Suggest getting the Andy Sabisch handbook for the CTX3030.

    I’ve just got a CTX this week and haven’t been out with it properly as yet, I wanted to try and master the menus a bit first, so this video came in very useful just at the right time for me. 👍

    Appreciate this video, love my CTX3030, don't go anywhere without it, people GIVE ME HELL ABOUT IT, cause it's so old,old, weights to much, but at my club meetings I come in first almost in every category EVERY MONTH, sometimes all categories, but you've showed me things that I didn't know so thanks, and if you've ever seen any of my videos you'll know I'm telling the truth about not going anywhere without it

    The first thing I tell anyone who will listen…”learn how to navigate EVERYWHERE on the machine”. I know a few people personally who have had this machine for several years and STILL do not know how to get everywhere effectively. It makes it SO much more fun and PRODUCTIVE when you know how to get around it. As you said…it is NOT that hard.

    How do you connect the wireless headphones, long press in pattern 2? I forget......

    • @MentalMetal
      @MentalMetal  2 роки тому

      There is a button under the coil that you have to press at the same time you press the menu key but you have to use your pinky finger for the button on the coil and an index finger for the menu (same hand).

    I live in Alaska! I think the 7000 was modeled after this for gold. Except its a lot of $$$$$. I would like to concentrate mostly on GOLD nugs, silver, and native findings! What I like most is the LCD on this! I want it, but I'm uncertain of it's ability to find high-end minerals? Not looking for tin cans or bullets. What say you? I haven't researched many other brands? I REALLY like this one, except for that one uncertainty. Must get wet is a have too. People's videos only show coin mode every time? Is silver mode for GOLD too? Seems everyone only uses coin mode. I do like it better than the 800!🤠

    • @MentalMetal

      While the CTX is good on many fronts I don't have the experience to say for they type of Gold hunting you are going on. Its seems to me that the hunting you will be doing will be highly mineralized soil and I would suggest looking into Minelab's GPX or GPZ detectors. They are even more $$$$ but will specialize in those conditions. However, I'm not saying the CTX won't find gold cos it certainly does very well on the beach etc. I just don't know how it would do on gold nugs in those conditions. Good luck.
