Yes, keep the vid's coming, I had my 3030 since 2016. I get too busy with work/life/surfing and it sets for a long time. Keep forgetting HOW- TO's on setting for beach hunting. Please keep training vids' coming. Thanks .
@@MentalMetal Please go over adjusting the gain / depth ect... I used the earth tracking a few times when i went on long days , so i could my way back to car, trust me - long days on beach - not much around, you have a hard time locating where you came on the beach. Thanks.
Iv Used nearly every machine on the market since Early 2000s , including Deus2 , and the NOX , many good machine's, but I always come back to the CTX legend of a machine once you master it 😉
@@MentalMetal I have a question for you. While using the 17-inch coil which part of the coil is doing the actual pinpointing? 11-inch coil also. This is all new for me with my first machine. CTX3030 Thanks
@@kennethhuffman2288 the coil reads front to back down the center column, the width of the center column. The signal curves slightly in to center at bottom of signal. Suggest getting the Andy Sabisch handbook for the CTX3030.
I’ve just got a CTX this week and haven’t been out with it properly as yet, I wanted to try and master the menus a bit first, so this video came in very useful just at the right time for me. 👍
Appreciate this video, love my CTX3030, don't go anywhere without it, people GIVE ME HELL ABOUT IT, cause it's so old, old, weights to much, but at my club meetings I come in first almost in every category EVERY MONTH, sometimes all categories, but you've showed me things that I didn't know so thanks, and if you've ever seen any of my videos you'll know I'm telling the truth about not going anywhere without it
The first thing I tell anyone who will listen…”learn how to navigate EVERYWHERE on the machine”. I know a few people personally who have had this machine for several years and STILL do not know how to get everywhere effectively. It makes it SO much more fun and PRODUCTIVE when you know how to get around it. As you said…it is NOT that hard.
Hey Scott i won a set of those limited edition Minelab Grey Ghost water proof headphones for a ctx3030 at a seeded hunt in my home town but i dont own a 3030 and wont work on the Equinox DRATS lol...Nice set of head phones though and im sure some one may be able to use them...Have a great upcoming 4th..of JULY
There is a button under the coil that you have to press at the same time you press the menu key but you have to use your pinky finger for the button on the coil and an index finger for the menu (same hand).
I live in Alaska! I think the 7000 was modeled after this for gold. Except its a lot of $$$$$. I would like to concentrate mostly on GOLD nugs, silver, and native findings! What I like most is the LCD on this! I want it, but I'm uncertain of it's ability to find high-end minerals? Not looking for tin cans or bullets. What say you? I haven't researched many other brands? I REALLY like this one, except for that one uncertainty. Must get wet is a have too. People's videos only show coin mode every time? Is silver mode for GOLD too? Seems everyone only uses coin mode. I do like it better than the 800!🤠
While the CTX is good on many fronts I don't have the experience to say for they type of Gold hunting you are going on. Its seems to me that the hunting you will be doing will be highly mineralized soil and I would suggest looking into Minelab's GPX or GPZ detectors. They are even more $$$$ but will specialize in those conditions. However, I'm not saying the CTX won't find gold cos it certainly does very well on the beach etc. I just don't know how it would do on gold nugs in those conditions. Good luck.
Ctx is vintage but as anything old it was built to last and will always be up there with the best 👌
I've had my ctx for 6 years and still learning ,and still love it
That's awesome!

Its a great machine for sure. I love using it.
Found this video very helpful, thanks very much
Glad to hear it!
That pitch hold with threshold should give evidence of deeper targets outside the signal range, just like the Excal.
Thanks!
Just received my CTX today
Let the fun begin!

Great video, very interesting machine that is still very relevant today, lots of power
Great addition to prior segments. You should do more!
Thanks I plan on doing some more.

Its still a great machine and def has its place today. If you like it and know how to use it keep using it. :-)
Thanks, maybe i will break it out again :)) The Rolls Royce of Detectors
Go for it!
I had this item a long time ago. Did a couple videos on UA-cam with it. A really fun detector.
Totally agree. I've enjoyed learning it.
I did some detecting in a hurricane with thing.
This is the closest I've ever been to a CTX 3030. I love Minelab products so it has to be a good machine!
I really enjoy the 3030 Jerry. Its been a lot of fun to learn.

Love my ctx!
Its a great machine. Way ahead of its time.
Thank you for the tutorial sir. Is ctx 3030 frequency automatic or you need to adjust manually

Thanks same to you! I never liked the Grey Ghosts until I tried them again for Deus II and they are a good alternative. I really like them now.
I love your videos. Still learning my CTX 3030. Going to FL next week to hunt the treasure coast!
Good luck!
Yes more please
They are coming but time is my biggest issue so be patient. :-)
