If Sora and/or the Keyblade somehow doesn’t make it into Astro Bot.
At least we have a Keyblade weapon skin in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.
I love that Square Enix is prioritizing Steam Deck functionality on their games. Not just Kingdom Hearts, either! When Final Fantasy XIV got a patch which made it unable to launch on Steam Deck, the support team acknowledged the issue and they fixed it soon after.
Dead of Night as a keyblade name goes very hard for some reason lol 😂
I'd be sweet if the Steam version gives you the option to enable between the original PS2 soundtrack and the remastered soundtrack along with the original Heartless colors and the Final Mix colors.
I mean if they don't that's a simple mod fix :)
I hope the Stadium in BBS has the Multiplayer functionality enabled

It ran good but i had to bring fps to 40 to 45 for stability kh3 specifically

Really hoping they update the EGS to not be DRM, since they are gonna give those a graphical update itd be great to fix the whole DRM thing too

When I first got my Steam Deck I made it my mission to get KH3 working and it would be the first game I’d play on the Deck
It took me an entire weekend before I got that working 😂
Fans created this vision of ps = KH, which was over since forever now. While it made sense at the time, it's obvious that KH isn't considered a part of Sony history for Square-Enix and they are right. It's more about SE than Sony here.
If they want money, they're in their right.
If Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts are not in Astro Bot then that shows that Square Enix has pretty much given up on Sony. It's pretty clear that almost all third party companies are saving their games for the Switch 2. It wouldn't surprise me if a lot and maybe even all Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts games would come to the First year of Switch 2
Sora is owned by Disney so the Square thing isn't worrying to me about Astro Bot

Sadly, Activision would need to give their permission for them.

@AlexxxMYLSince2013 Possible, but at the same time, just because they got permission to have a reference in one game, doesn't mean they'll get permission in every game.

I really like the astro bot skins and the Ratchet one in particular really warms my heart because they choose to use the og Ratchet design and not the future saga one that, today, is basically omnipresent.
Regarding the inclusion of a Sora skin i 100% agree with you, it would be pretty much a waste to not have it: Unlike Final Fantasy which for the first 6 games has run on nintendo consoles, KH has been a Sony exclusive (especially the mainline games) for a long time and it has been an icon of Playstation's best selling console; plus, again unlike FF, KH has only one protagonist therefore it is easier to use him to represent the entire saga.
P.s. You probably missed it, Jared, but yesterday it was the 90th birthday of your favorite enemy healer, Zettaflare user and out-of-time lifesaver😂.

for the Astro boy "collab" it is important to remember that KH and all thier original chars are all owned by Disney Square is "only" the developer so idk how much they have to say in something like that. Also for smash it was actually faster getting two FF chars into ultimate than Sora. So its defenetly not something we can really say from experience.

I highly doubt this source. From every interview I've read about a franchise with a Square Enix collaboration (most notably smash) they've always been talked about as one of the easiest to get on board.
That said for something like this, Disney would be the one in charge of if Sora gets an astrobot or not and they've recently (ie the last 5 years or so) been extremely easy to work with in regards to video game collaborations. Fortnite being the obvious example, but in truth the list of companies to get their hands on Disney ip is extensive and does include Sony(after all their biggest release recently was a Spider-Man game)
Is 3/2days gonna be one of the games going to pc as well?
It'll only be the cutscene movie that's in the HD collection, as it's just going to be 1.5, 2.5, 2.8, 3, and Re:Mind, same as with consoles and Epic.
The steam deck / PC can emulate the DS games if need be, but official support hasn't been announced and probably never will at this point.

Id be suprised if Kingdom Hearts getting represented for Smite 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (oh right, its owned by Nickelodeon/Paramount), Funko Fusion, Monopoly, Lego, and others.
Still upset that none of the kingdom hearts games are going on switch till the next console
For me, it's weird to say that Kingdom Hearts was a Playstation exclusive and synonymous with the brand, when literally the second game was on a Nintendo console. I understand what he means, the Kingdom Hearts franchise had a focus on Playstation, yes, but I wouldnt say the franchise was Playstation exclusive, when actually HALF of the games originally released on Nintendo consoles. (I am talking about the time before the HD ReMIX bundles released)

I agree though, at it's heart Kingdom Hearts feels like a Playstation game.
Well most people outside of KH don't know that the Nintendo handheld games exist. It's pretty clear the big games were made exclusively for PlayStation up until now. Even then I STILL believe making an Xbox version is a huge fumble because the Xbox user base is mostly CoD, FIFA, Madden players. They don't play real games that Nintendo or Sony offer
How much is each game going to be?
Frankly i agree with Square being careful with how they do collaborations with Sora and their other IPs/characters. Its all well and good to collab and raise awareness for your franchises but if you throw them into anything it can do more harm than good. I look at some of these weak fortnite collabs that do little to attract new players to you and kinda jusy damage the brand
Not sure if it's worth it over the PS3 roms for 1.5 and 2.5 I currently run KH on deck with. Definitely exited to play KH 3 on something that isn't the PS4 though! Haven't touched 3 since my first playthrough.
I’m getting 1.5 and 2.5 just to play them with mods 3 can go away 😂😂 call me a hater but that game ain’t it for me at all
@@thegamewin100 I like the combat and gameplay in 3 for funsies. Not as hardcore as 1, or even 2, but it has its charm, the story and all that I agree deserves to be left behind.
@@VoiceOvaGuy story I stopped caring after DDD got kinda ridiculous I’m all for luxu and master of masters but man was it goofy in 3 with the whole puppet thing and people coming back just because combat was just okay it’s fun but they need to go back to kh2 or at least make it less floaty I don’t mind the difficulty but giving every boss hyper armor just isn’t as fun as kh2 and kh1 was a tad bit less balanced but it was still fun kh3 feels like a step back imo less worlds less time in worlds and the end world was not that good dlc was the best part but at the same time they just ended up making it hard to get through if you don’t spend time on the bosses it’s not the biggest deal but they should have made the entire game that difficult not just the dlc
@@thegamewin100 I agree on the floaty nature. On one hand it's why I want to play it again, but on the other hand it's why I haven't touched it since the release. DDD wasn't even the most egregious imo, it was when they tied story material to a mobile game. That was actually a straight stupid decision. I would LOVE a return to KH1 or even KH2 combat though, that was the pinnacle. Hyper armor minus a few expected openings on each boss is pretty bad design too. KH3 had a lot of issues. I've played KH1 and 2 so many times, but 3 I'll probably only play it once more and never again. Too bad, the graphics are great, everything else was par or sub-par.
@@VoiceOvaGuy graphics are great but they really went a step backwards with that game and the summons are ridiculously overpowered for some reason
Just a shame that the Nintendo Switch will probably never get the actual portable experience (unless you hack your console and put Linux on it, though that’s irrelevant).

@@quaglegagle674 I assume they'll have a launch sale, they also mentioned there being the integrum bundle when the games come out so I imagine you could probably get them all for about 80 bucks altogether on launch although dont take my word for it that's just me speculating

I'm shocked kh3 runs at a mostly smooth 60 considering the egs release couldn't hold 60 at all, guess they really did optimize them for the deck
He said it was mostly the same settings at low graphics. Being optimised for the deck is good though cuz it should be pretty smooth to play. I'd lock it at 40fps with the decks limiter that way it would feel buttery smooth, turn off in game frame limiter & v sync!
Funny all you ppl have been waiting while I've been playing all kingdom hearts games on my cell phone with either controller, keyboard/mouse or touch pad for years now 🤣 you guys are waaaay behind the times
At the very least, with KH4 *possibly* coming in 2026, it'll give newcomers PLENTY of time to catch up and that includes all of the people waiting to play the series on Steam real soon.

it's not up to square-enix if a sora skin gets added to astro bot, it's 100% up to Disney since they fully own sora and the Kingdom hearts IP
And Nomura needs to think of a way to make it canon.
Nomura still has say. Contrary to popular belief, it was actually Nomura who was against putting Sora in smash at first. Disney was always for it.

@@Gamelover254 Yeah, he was trying to work a canon reason as to why and when Sora would be in Smash, because every appearance of Sora outside of KH has to be canon in some way for Nomura.

@@Topaz-zk4zk No idea, my guess is the trailer. Mario's heart called the Keyblade, which he used to bring Sora over to help save the Smash universe.
So they can bring up a team to optimize kh on the STEAM DECK which can fair well as it is ,but not the SWITCH? FOR 1.5 2.5 ATLEAST?
Don't forget the keyblade was in ratchet and clank rift apart so i think its possible

Disney does own Sora, but it's important to note that their partnership with Square is really close to the point where they check in with Nomura anyways when it comes to these collabs, most notably Smash. Disney was all for it, but Nomura had trouble figuring out how to properly represent Sora and was very particular about it. This form of respect is why the series has lasted this long, tbh. You'd think modern Disney wouldn't be so respectful with their partners, but hey.
