This reminds me of my shift at work as a home carer (2 staff to 1 resident in there own home). I did 11 months and left as they were messing around with my shifts etc. Anyway, the first shift I did was only meant to be a shadow shift but as per usual certain staff kept pulling sickies to go out drinking : I ended up having to do a 24hr shift (day shift and then the night till next day). I'd been awake from 6am till 7am the next day. Now, 24hr shifts and alone shifts are illegal but me and the other carer had no choice (the other carer did 36 hours straight as she did the night shift before the 24hrs I was there). After that I had one day off before having to go in again. Yeah. I did nearly a year, that was enough. Was so tired both physically, emotionally and mentally. My dream job is to reach braille and English as a second /foreign language. 😊. Also have my own business: it's a hobby that I've been doing since 2020. I make handcrafted bespoke cards, using everyday crafting supplies and designing both aesthetically beautiful and tactile cards. I use print, handwritten or braille writing as well. Plus extra stuff like glitter bombs, photographs that the customers have asked to use etc. Anyway, great video taz. Xx

I’ve accidentally because nocturnal without the sleeping part. the worst part is I’m fasting and tired, yet my body just doesn’t wanna go to sleep even if I’m tired 😭😭 I had school today so it’s even worse
In my teens and early 20s, I used to run on 3 hours of sleep perfectly fine. staying up until 5-7 am wasn't a problem (Still isn't, tbh...) . But I turned 30 this year and even though I still am more productive past midnight, I just can't handle the aftermath of it the next day. It feels like being run over by a truck or that my soul is just next to my body, not inside it looool.
if you don't wake up at 7pm you can't really have the nocturnal experience at full, if you've been up earlier you're just going to be sleep deprived hahahha coming from someone who started her days at 3 pm and ended them at 3am (worked at a bar)
🙂. It can take sometime too get used too being up night(nocturnal). It feels so much better when you let yourself be, and stoppong trying too force a "normal" day time schedule. For me it was like giving up a fight. Mostly I find the hardest part is dealing with appointments that have to be done during the day, but I've learned to do certain things really early that would be before bedtime for me. Or late afternoon, wake up time for me. Sometimes you just have to stay up longer during the day to make those appointments. I have a lot less busier life than you probably do. In the end I find I'm more productive, better at chores, and just a little happier and calm while the people in my country are asleep.
I have been nocternal for a month now since ramdan started i wake up at like 5pm/4pm pray and by the time im done geting ready the sun is going down so i break my fast i gusse you could call it breakfast and i sleep at 6/5 am when the sun goes down :D
I really want to be a morning person but I am so much more productive at night. Also, you always look so pretty Taz but you are glowing in this video :)
I’m the I sleep and get up depending on the next day’s schedule, definitely still prefer night, but in the morning do not talk to me for the first 30 minutes bc I’m so moody and so out of it it’s unreal.
It takes time to adjust to a nocturnal lifestyle. You did really well for a first go round though. Having done graveyard shift security for several years, I'd imagine it would take at least a few weeks to fully adjust. I'd recommend continuing during the day whenever possible. You'll be much healthier. 😃👍
I so identify with this. A 9-5 job kills me. The min fri night comes round i am up til 5am then sleep til 10 this is my natural way. But girl 4am tube is brave. I cant imagine u even thinking of this years ago. High freaking five 🎉❤
You've got an induction hob. It'll turn off its rings automatically if there's no pot on it. Inductions are amazing because theyre really fast to heat stuff up! But you need to get pans that are compatible with inductions because if not the hob won't sense there's a pot there and it'll turn itself off
If your hob is an induction cooker. I believe there is an adapter you can buy that goes between the hob and your cookware that allows you to use any pot or pan.
I have one of those electric hobs as well! And it turns on when it's wet (when like the on/off button is wet) and when something is placed onto it. Very annoying when you're trying to clean it hahahah
😂 Having worked nights, which I loved, it takes some getting used to, 3am you hit a wall for about 20 minutes before your brain returns to reality again, now I work daytime again and I hate daytime
For your electric hob you can get a sort of disk like utensil with which you’ll be able to use the utensil that are not normally usable on your electric hob
I'm a night/ morning person. I don't love the day between 11 and 8pm. But I'm finally on a somewhat normal sleeping schedule now so I won't risky it. My mom has cancer. She needs my help during the day, not at 2am when she is asleep.
Been going to bed at ten am and getting up at 3 pm for months now ! Only down side is lack of vitamin D and you can make up for that with food and tablets!!!
You in the underground reminded me of the film Creep!!!! I think there is a study showing people who work graveyard shift have a shorter life span . Think by 7 years.
In London things are still open throughout the day and night, elsewhere this isn't the case so unfortunately unable to try this beyond watching tv all night and being annoyed i'm in work the next day
It looks like you have an induction hob which is why you can't use some pans with it as the pans need to be magnetic. I'm pretty sure you can purchase like an adapter so you can use your old pans, if you don't want to buy new ones :)
I used to think i m nocturnal too, but when i had to work night shift, i realised my body suffers like crazy. I also noticed i function better if i wake up super early likw 4.30 or 5. But i cannot, for the love of god, wake up around samw time. It changes every week and if i am an early bird on the first of a month, slowly i d become a night owl by 23rd. But i do, do my most productive work b/w 10pm-9am, doesnt matter if i wake up early or sleep late
I tried to wake up early for a few weeks and go to sleep early. OMG it was so hard, and I wouldn't even be functional until 11 am and after 3 coffees. I just cannot do it. I am definitely a night person. I am most alert and content being up all night and going to bed around 6am.
Don't know why you can't use the frying pan on the electric stove. I have a flat one and use all my pans. Even my cast iron skillet. Yes, people. You CAN.
My mom said i was born with my days and nights mixed up. She tried everything from what her doctor told her, read books, listened to older moms ..just everything. Nothing worked. I am 56 and its 2 am. It doesn't. Some of us are just that way. I worked nights most of my life. Shift deferential is great! All for me to be my normal. All of my bio children are night owls. Well i take that back. #4(15) is not a night owl he runs on a 28 hour day cycle. Every month or so he will stay up almost the full 24 and will reset his clock and back again. He sleeps 7 to 9 hours depending. He is high functioning autistic, ADHD and has mild cerebral palsy. #1(37) has a similar sleep/wake thing. Numbers 2(35) and 3 (18) are like me just night owls. They need 8 hours sleep. Before i got sick any more than 5 hours was way too much. But we are all ADHD. My poor husband and daughter. We adopted her at 2 and she has ADHD as well but no sleep issues. My grandson (15 son of #2) also night owl. Drives his momma crazy. But unfortunately she is just going to have to get used to it because at least 1 of the 3 others apperceive to be that way and she is pregnant with number 5 so i bet at least half are going to be this way. Now we can get away with this because we homeschool. We do most of all are schooling at night. Even though the summer. We go 4 days a week for a month . Then a week off. Then 4 days a week for another 4 weeks. We take off all holidays other than to have discussion about the history of the holiday and as they get older we get into more of the reasons the holiday, what events brought about the need to celebrate, how other countries celebrate it or when do they...there are rabbit holes to go down for every holiday. But its great for history, sociology, psychology, geography well about everything but math and we can squeeze it in to if other countries use a different standard of measurement or mathematics. Yes the daughter in law and son homeschool as well. So being nocturnal works great for all of us. The kids can watch videos together on online and have discussions on discord. Even the grown ups love to watch together because we all learn things together. Nights are just so much quieter and easy. Laid-back is a good term for it.
Before the "big sick " a lot of places were either open 24/7 or kept late hours, like 11 or midnight. We did our grocery shopping that way. Never anyone around, freshly stocked veggies and fruits. All the shelves were being restocked so plenty of items. Fresh done meats. Its was great.
I've been a night man for years. i am pulled back by appointments and a weekly shop. So i have a quick nap to reset to day time. But most of the time i'm awake till 8am - sleep through to three in the afternoon. i paint, so it suits my night life. why is she outside? the whole point is to avoid people? Get used to the loner lifestyle? she said Stranger danger? that sums up day time living. You have to go out - work 9-5. and stay to a schedule?
this would make more sense if you did a whole week of sleeping during the day and being up during the night. you need to get used to the whole thing first.
Few things! 1. love you and your videos🥰🥹 2. maybe you can donate the pans/pots🫶🏼 3. if somethings out of date it’s not necessarily spoiled, smell, look and give a little taste🤭 4. the tube loneliness panic is so relatable, I would’ve died inside💀🫠 5. nice to see you had so much fun with your friends🥰
i'm really sorry for this random question. i wanted to know what headphones you have? i'm interested in buying noise cancelling headphones. also in case this is the only opportunity for you to see my comment, i wanted to say thank you for being you and for your heartfelt, real, honest, relatable content! i really love your videos ever since 2019/2020. you are amazing! i hope you have a good day and many more good days to come! :)

"There are two kind of people in the world: there are morning people and there are night owls".
Me being both a morning person and a night owl: 👀
I have always had an electric hob and never knew you needed a certain type of pan. News to me.
It’s called an induction stove top, and if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the pot, the pot should work:)
lol "It's not 🚫 and you're an idiot." 🤣 Cracking me up.
All I am thinking about is that I need a skincare routine asap please
i would do this but i cant sleep when there's any light in my room
everyone saying about being a night or morning person me
"woah taz is good at bowling :D"
It looks like you have an induction hob which is why you can't use some pans with it as the pans need to be magnetic. I'm pretty sure you can purchase like an adapter so you can use your old pans, if you don't want to buy new ones :)
For your pans and your electric cooktop there is an adapter that you can use.
Oh my GOD you have the Shen Yun show in England too 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I used to think i m nocturnal too, but when i had to work night shift, i realised my body suffers like crazy.
You CAN.
It's an induction hob she has, pans have to magnetise
Taz, I demand more food challenges‼️
So this again but for a week :) great video
watching at 2am
Relatable to the extent i feel like u r my soultwin...keep goin taaz...ur videos giv so much of happiness❤❤🎉🎉😊
I could NEVER go on public transport after dark. I'd be terrified 😨
I work from 2pm until midnight, so I am basically nocturnal, I go to bed at around 4am and wake up at around 12/1pm
Taz is the best 😊
This was cool to watch.
If you don't put the milk directly back into the fridge after using it, it can expire faster than the expiration date.
this would make more sense if you did a whole week of sleeping during the day and being up during the night. you need to get used to the whole thing first.
Few things!
1. love you and your videos🥰🥹
2. maybe you can donate the pans/pots🫶🏼
3. if somethings out of date it’s not necessarily spoiled, smell, look and give a little taste🤭
4. the tube loneliness panic is so relatable, I would’ve died inside💀🫠
5. nice to see you had so much fun with your friends🥰
I have adhd and thats what its like for me too. If I don’t see it, it doesn’t exist
Please make a video of a shopping haul like under a certain budget
