The summer fun has just begun at Backyard Beans Coffee Company! This June, the coffee company will celebrate its tenth anniversary as a roaster, rolling out its special Anniversary Blend coffee and a 10 Weeks of Giveaways campaign to commemorate this big milestone ( more on giveaways here: www.backyardbeans.com/10years ).
The company got its start in 2013 in the backyard of founders Matt and Laura Adams, two Lansdale residents who began roasting coffee for fun on their Weber grill. When they noticed their local farmers’ markets didn’t offer any coffee, they decided to sell their own roasts to help bridge the gap. They began by selling their coffee at the Lansdale Farmers Market, and their business took off from there. Now, the company has grown into a community fixture, representing more than just excellent coffee but also connection, impact, and growth. “We’re so fortunate for the amount of support we’ve had over the years, and feeling like we played a part in helping revitalize our town and neighborhood,” said Matt Adams. “It’s been an absolute joy to watch it all evolve into what it is today.”
Although I live in England now, it’s nice to read about such positive developments in my native Montgomery County.
Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your coffee journey
Thank you.
Fascinating! It's so surprising that there's so many small coffee companies out there and how there always seems to be room for more. I guess it's probably good you all didn't research that on a national level and just saw the local possibilities, otherwise you may not have even started. How lucky having a market so near to inspire you, and a neighbor! It's so very interesting to hear this story.
Thanks for watching our story!
