Hey guys, great vid. Have you had the slight vibration buzz noise from the NPC clutches? I just had this installed and apparently it is normal. Contacted NPC and even their tech told me this over the phone. They said they've done heaps of testing and can't find exactly what it is but lots of kits do it and nothing to worry about apparently. Seems strange to me, but just wondered what you thought?
Hey Hilde, Yes we've experienced the same thing and have the same thoughts as you. We currently use Safari Armax clutches matched with their ecu and had no issues or funky noises!
Awesome mate! Loved the video. I've got exactly the same cruiser (graphite, dual cab, DPF) and i just fitted a Steinbauer module and my stock clutch is slipping. Obviously i need a stronger clutch. How do you rate the NPC clutch say versus the Xtreme Outback clutches? I'm tossing up between the two. Also, is your clutch pedal sitting a little higher now when your foot is off? Since you adjusted the pedal i'm guessing you screwed the pedal up. Did you have to upgrade your slave cylinder? Cheers!
Hi Jim, We rate and trust the NPC brand due to the fact that there gear simply just works. We are very happy with the results from the NPC's and you dont have to look for long to find alot of great reviews when it comes to there products. Clutch peddle has a great feel, even better than factory and adjustment in the peddle is always minimal. No change to the slave cylinder that remains factory. In our case this is so due to the fact we are almost always working on new vehicles. Glad you like our content cheers.
@@BAWAutomotive Awesome! And thanks for your quick response. I'm a Toyota technician and haven't fitted any of these clutches to 70 series. Only factory clutches. Glad to hear the pedal is great and that i don't have to change the slave cylinder. My cruiser has only done 34,000kms so it's pretty new. You've sold me on the NPC clutch and even better fitting a new flywheel instead of machining the factory one and reducing the friction characteristics (Toyota recommends against flywheel machining as it reduces the surface friction). Thanks again!
