As a mechanic i loved watching the clutch being fitted! Very good work from the boys there. Excellent that you're getting good service George. Cheers, Jim.
@@UncagedExpeditions G'day George. After driving the cruiser for a few days with the Steinbauer module, the clutch has started slipping in 4th gear at full throttle at around 2,000RPM. That module really wakes this engine up and i'm enjoying the extra torque. I'm guessing the clutch you just replaced was strong enough for the Steinbauer. Did you have to modify the clutch slave cylinder for the heavy duty clutch before fitting this extra heavy duty one? Cheers mate.
Jimbo Jones Hey Jim. Great to hear you’re happy with the steinbauer. I thought you would be. I was very surprised when you said it wasn’t slipping as I have never heard of a standard clutch holding. No modifications were needed to fit the clutch. I have been really happy with it so far. It has never slipped even with the extra power now and towing the large van everywhere.
@@UncagedExpeditions good to hear mate! I just looked up Xtreme Outback and i'll go for the stage 1 clutch which is a 600nm. That's enough for the Steinbauer. I just watched your new Lotus video, what a ripper van mate!
Jimbo Jones I would go the next one up with the upgraded slave cylinder like mine. They are better just Incase you sore more mods in the future. Thanks buddy, really happy with the new van so far.
Hey simon ross. Thanks for the support. I am glad you loved the video. Great to see you have a 79 also and I hope you're enjoying it as much as possible. I have just finished editing the next video. Will be up hopefully tomorrow. Hope you enjoy. Cheers
Hey George, it’d be good to see a video of your caravan setup and any changes to your 79 to deal with it aka suspension. I’ve recently just brought a off-road caravan & had to change the whole suspension, firmed up a little bit. Cheers.
Hey Sam Ting Wong. I did ask about the cross pipe but they have fitted and tuned them to vehicles before and don't get much of an increase at all so I decided it wasn't worth it. They don't push products or suggest products just for the sake of making a dollar on you. That's why I recommend them. Cheers
Georgie, great informative vid there champ, When my rig is done we should do a quick catch up and feature on the Xr6 turbo engine conversion ! See you at robe/beechport ;)
What fluid did he use to clean the pressure plate? Because I got a brand new heavy duty clutch plate and I haven’t yet used it, opened the box today and I found a little bit of rust on the surface.
Uncaged Expeditions I'm about 5 weeks away from getting my 79 series, a custom build from Outback Custom in Qld. Your channel gives me heaps of ideas and inspiration, thanks George. Cheers, Tim.
Congrats Tim. I just had a look at their website, looks like they do excellent work. I bet you can't wait to get it. They are a great truck, you will be very happy with it. I am glad I can help. Just make sure you get out there and enjoy it as much as you can once you get it. Enjoy
Hey MrDanielv2205. The price for the Unichip Q4 with the 5 map selector installed and tuned is $2k-$3k depending on vehicle. Give dynomotive a call and tell them George from Uncaged sent you.
Hey Rolly B. Thanks for subscribing. I believe this one is only 750nm. I know there are other ones on the market now that claim they can handle more, but I read mixed reviews on them. After my research, this one came out as my pick. Dynomotive have also used this clutch on many other cruisers making more power than mine, which is a fair bit more than the claimed max of this clutch and they still haven’t slipped. I haven’t had any issues with mine so far, even towing my big van through some bad places and up steep hills. So I’m happy with my choice. Cheers

Hey Jim. The boys at Dynomotive have always been a pleasure to deal with and that’s why I recommend them.

That was a good time to UP GRADE your cross exhaust pipes to a bigger one. Oh well next time. That's how shops make money...lol!

Dawood Aziz Hey buddy. That’s no good, but I’m sure it’s just a little surface rust which is nothing. I can’t remember what fluid it was sorry.
Great video George, very informative and helpful. I was wondering if you had your can of "V" on the way! 👍👍👍
Hey 4west7. Thanks buddy. As you know I always do.

you said u had a heavy duty clutch before and now the extra heavy duty..just wondering if its heavy to push the clutch pedal in.
MegaMr28 From memory it’s not any harder than standard.
Great clip mate, do you have the part number for the clutch
Love the channel great work👍🏻 just a question on the uni chip q4 with 5 map selector what was the price dynomotive do that for installed and tuned

Great as always George, one question though, have you ever considered an auto conversion for your 76?
Sid Dalton hey buddy. No, I like simple for the bush. Too many things can go wrong with an auto.
How has the clutch held up, I'm in need of a new one for my 79. :)
Hey buddy. It is still holding up really well. Highly recommend.
Just watching the video now and was thinking how the new system was going. 😄
How is the clutch going ? Im getting that brand put into my navara
Hey buddy. Clutch is still holding up really well. Highly recommend

Hey buddy. From memory it was around the 2k mark. Please call Dynomotive for a quote and mention I sent you and see what they can do for you.
@@UncagedExpeditions Thanks for that, I see how much money I have left after Christmas. haha
