I have a OnePlus 9 pro and I got the oxygenOS 12 update months ago. Maybe it's just in your region that the update is being delayed. Because for me it came relatively fast. Honestly, in my opinion even though the oneplus 10 pro has a bigger battery, faster charging and a better selfie camera. That's not enough to sell me to switch to the 10 pro. Because I'm happy with my oneplus 9 pro and don't regret my decision of getting it at all. That's just my opinion.
I’ll keep my OnePlus 9 Pro.. no reason to upgrade. Phones have gotten so good it becoming a waste of time to upgrade every year now. Before it was for the performance to edit videos and play games and shoot good videos. Now every modern flagship does all that no problem.
There is barely any difference between 2022's flagships and 2021's flagships across all brands. It seems as though most OEMs are playing it safe due to the disruption caused by the pandemic. Hopefully as things get back to normal we will see more innovation.
I think you are a great reviewer and very fair. I prefer the OnePlus 10 Pro over the Pixel because of better battery life, faster charging, I actually prefer the software, the cpu/GPU is better and I feel the display looks better aside from peak brightness. Brightness isn't everything.

My mom phone just broke last week so I'm giving her my 8T which in my opinion still a solid phone i never had any issues with it and battery lasted me easily whole day. I just bought the 10Pro, should be here next week. I never had any interest in Samsung or Apple phones so. Hoping to see at least some upgrades from the 8T

I think that's a good thing, it means no need to upgrade every year because the hardware can keep up. I have a 9 Pro and don't feel I'm missing out. Especially with OS12. I don't mind paying £900 for a phone if it keeps pace for 2-3yrs.
One Plus 5 owner here, 5 years has passed, it still holds up greatly! I can run all games smoothly (altought with low/medium graphics but with 30/60fps, sometimes if the games are well optimized i can go with ultra settings), user experience never let me down and still perform as new today. I wish i could get an upgrade in terms of GPU processing power but other than this it still rocks.

I agree. If your battery can't hold a charge anymore. You can take it somewhere and they'll replace it. Then your phone is good as new again. At least hold on to your phone for 4 years!

What exactly matters to you? They both have pros and cons. If you care about software support Security and privacy Cameras Software features (desktop mode, better multitasking etc) Brighter screen Symmetrical bezels Good third party accessories like cases or magsafe cases Or Monthly updates, go for Samsung If you care about Higher screen quality Really good speakers Fast charging Oxygen os (which looks a lot like vivo software, you either love it or hate it) Then go for the OnePlus. As someone who use to be the biggest OnePlus fan, I no longer support them or rock with their phones. I absolutely hate Samsung as a brand but I love my s22 ultra as a phone, especially since the march update and I like it better than my pixel 6 pro. I hope this helps

The best OnePlus phone was ever made is OnePlus 6 great hardware. I am still using the phone 8/128g version. I just changed the battery which was very easy and i am planning to keep it for next few years. No software support anymore but i can still put lineage os custom ROM which is the best for that phone 😀

Oneplus 10 pro, realme gt2 pro and oppo find x5 pro are flagship of this company. S21 FE and vivo X70 are vanilla versions of flagship series. I would go for Samsung? Why? You will get best display and cameras for that price tag of phones. You will get 4 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates, and it will be monthly updates. Chinese manufacturers laking behind with software updates.

Unless your 8T is on it's last legs, better wait for better deals. Or better yet, wait for better devices, since the 8T is what I believe to be the last great Oneplus
The only reason to upgrade in my opinion is: the bigger battery life, camera style on the back and security updates will be at least a year available before upgrading yet again after 9pro becomes obsolete.

Well mate I have the s22 ultra here in the UK (exynos) and I'm telling ya it's freaking amazing. If you're into photography the expert raw app is amazing to use, the results just keep blowing me away

This was a surprise to me. You're right. There is no incentive to upgrade from the 9Pro with 256GB to a 10Pro with 128GB. I have a 7Pro that is almost 3 years old. I need a dual SIM phone and want at least 256GB and good cameras. OP has settled alright.

@@armisis try the camera. I'm talking about the actual using of the camera and the quality of the shots taken. Believe me. I'm a photographer. I compared both A11 and A12. A12 is very poor. The submenus don't match on many things. The size of the fonts aren't universal. Try gaming. It's a downgrade in comparison to A11. Your obviously not a power user who cares about these things. A11 is an adults OS. A12 is for kids. That's the comparison I make.
So I heard the telephoto lens can't record 4k 60, the wide angle lens no longer has autofocus or a macro mode, and the screen is peak 1300 nits? Usually these things don't matter, but on the simple fact that OnePlus has been such a good hardware company is surprising and unfortunate. At least they're saying they'll be sticking with oxygen os

Color OS one plus devices has so many issues it's good OnePlus will cut the collaboration OS with oppo instead they'll reach google and stay in color OS which is much better and optimized for OnePlus devices 🌄
It's not a Oneplus phone. It uses colour OS. It's an Oppo phone with a Oneplus sticker on the box. Oneplus died when they mashed up Oxygen OS with Colour OS and produced a messed up hybrid OS that is actually in key areas (gaming and camera performance) worse than OOS11. Don't fall for the PR hype with oneplus anymore. Just buy an Oppo phone instead.

At that point, it really comes down to availability and personal preference. These are all great phones. Most of which are not available in the US lol

Just bought a Oneplus 9 pro for 225 dollars when i realized there wasn't that much difference with the 10 pro. I think it's a good price, deserved because i just lost my Oppo find x2 pro
Heya Chris, I've been doing a lot of research lately for a new phone. I'm planning to buy a new phone for both, me, and my partner. Our budget is 500 euro each. The best pick I could find for that price point is the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5g which is 449 in France. I'm mainly interested in a great camera/video capability to be top notch. Do you know any other phone that can beat this model at this price range? Thank you!

Is it me or does it really feels like he edited the pictures ? Because I have a OnePlus 7pro and my phone pictures are way more natural than that ! And I saw a video of some other UA-camr as well. It doesn't look that much saturated..

@@bargepoled using it now the EU release. It's like butter so smooth. Fast and stable. And I'm a OnePlus user since the One and Cyanogen OS.
@@armisis try the camera. I'm talking about the actual using of the camera and the quality of the shots taken. Believe me. I'm a photographer. I compared both A11 and A12. A12 is very poor. The submenus don't match on many things. The size of the fonts aren't universal. Try gaming. It's a downgrade in comparison to A11. Your obviously not a power user who cares about these things. A11 is an adults OS. A12 is for kids. That's the comparison I make.
So I heard the telephoto lens can't record 4k 60, the wide angle lens no longer has autofocus or a macro mode, and the screen is peak 1300 nits? Usually these things don't matter, but on the simple fact that OnePlus has been such a good hardware company is surprising and unfortunate. At least they're saying they'll be sticking with oxygen os

I've got the 9 pro and 8 pro and don't see a difference other than slightly faster charging
I wonder if people buy this brand. I haven't seen anyone with one plus phone in person. I only see Samsung, iPhone, xiaomi, realme and vivo usually. Family, friends, and workmates. Do they have like one plus stores or what?

Color OS one plus devices has so many issues it's good OnePlus will cut the collaboration OS with oppo instead they'll reach google and stay in color OS which is much better and optimized for OnePlus devices 🌄

It's not a Oneplus phone. It uses colour OS. It's an Oppo phone with a Oneplus sticker on the box. Oneplus died when they mashed up Oxygen OS with Colour OS and produced a messed up hybrid OS that is actually in key areas (gaming and camera performance) worse than OOS11. Don't fall for the PR hype with oneplus anymore. Just buy an Oppo phone instead.
