They 2 love it for the same reason , you only catch what you want to keep for food. They fill their freezers and therefore live off good healthy food all year round. We are truly blessed with the variety here. Did you guys much boating or fishing in or around Straddie etc before heading off into international waters ?????

Beautiful ladies dancing in the beautiful water among beautiful schools of fish. Doesn't get much better except maybe actually being there. So much better than the ugly brown water you guys seemed to always be in before the new to you boat.
Bonita are great bait fish, lop off a chunk n drop it off deep before the sharks get it, unless you like shark, which is actually quite good when bled right.
Those skip jack / bonito are good strip baits, chuck a nice big strip on a circle hook and put it out while on anchor, set the drag with enough pressure to set the hook but still be able to run. Then wait for the buzz of the clicker

I think you need to try the tuna again.. once caught slice the lower jaw and up the gills. Bleed it while holding it or throw it in a bucket, mouth down. BRING A COOLER with ice. It’s the same tuna you get in a tuna can, mostly…… Excellent poki bowl!

Lee I noticed you were fishing with a surface lure, maybe grab a few different divers and then might get down and get into different species
