Totally appreciate your honesty and very informative video of "tourist pricing" 😳 ! Awesome..I'll visit Tsukiji because I've not been there. But will have my seafood bowl elsewhere as suggested! Thank you for your videos!!
Thanks, great video!!! We were just there, loved some of these and look forward to trying the rest on our next visit! I’ll add that we had an amazing experience at the tiny 4-person counter Sushi Okame - some of the best sushi we had in Tokyo. No English menu but if you know a few Japanese sushi words, you’ll be fine. We also loved the negitoro bowl at Tsukiji Donburi Ichiba. Try some of the places without lines! There are many gems there.
Great! I'm happy that you had fun a lot in Tsukiji!! And thanks for sharing your experience! I'm making good seafood rice bowl restaurants in Tsukiji so I'll visit Okame to see it!😆

i've always wondered if the raw fish bowls in tsukiji are over-priced. thank you for your opinion. if i go i will check out some of the other foods you mentioned.
LOL what an honest guy! Your video is useful and informative, thanks! I'll be traveling to Tokyo in Sept, wonder what is the best time to visit Tsukiji Market? Early morning maybe? And btw, your English speaking speed is fine.
Tsukiji Fish Market opens very early in the morning so I think around 7 or 8 am would be the best timing to visit!! Thank you for letting me know about English! I'm so proud of it😁
Yeah but it's very friendly to people from foreign countries and workers at Tsukiji Fish Market speak fluent English and we can enjoy a lot of food at one place so it's still great place to visit👍
Thanks for another great video, Inok. Sometimes, tourists like me don’t mind the higher prices in Tsukiji, because the seafood and other food there would be a lot more expensive back in the countries that we live in. 😅 Also, the seafood especially, is fresher or is better quality than back in our home countries. But yes, the prices do seem higher in Tsukiji than elsewhere in Tokyo. We even went back to some of the same restaurants we went to before in different years and there are now bigger price increases. Still, Tsukiji is a lot of fun to explore. Hope you can show more shops in Tsukiji. Maybe some more places hidden upstairs or lesser known restaurants?
I see as you said Tsukiji is expensive but it's still cheaper than other countries. That totally makes sense but in local Japanese people opinion, it's too much😰 I got your request! I'll explore Tsukiji and share great food!!!
Also, it’s easy for tourists to try so many different kinds of foods in one area. Instead of going all over Tokyo in one day. And you can graze or snack on different smaller sized portions of food and share them with your family or friends. Then keep buying more foods to try.😋Tsukiji is especially good for first time visitors, because it is tourist friendly and easy to order food. So casual and we can eat on the street and not worry too much. It is such a unique place. But yes, overpriced for the locals. By the way, are there good restaurants to take children to? Or bigger groups, like more than 4 people? I know a lot of restaurants in Tokyo are meant for smaller groups. So maybe sometimes it’s challenging for the tourists to find good places which will accept them.
@@HotInTheCity Your comment is wonderful!! You got me!! Tsukiji is great place to travelers! They are really friendly! I guess there're many restaurants are good with children and bigger groups. It's everywhere in Tokyo. Unless you talk to staffs in Japanese. Like what kind of restaurant or Japanese food do you want? or want to know?? I can share some good restaurants!
@@foodinjapan2256 Not for me, but I think some travelers have a challenge finding restaurants for different people all traveling together. Such as families with children. They may end up at McDonald’s a lot. I guess chains like Dennys or family restaurants can be good for them. Or some people are vegetarians in the group. Just ideas for you.
I recommend to visit very early in the morning like 7 am or before then because around 9 am is already busy however some shops open around 9 am so 7 or 8 am should be good I guess... sorry it's always busy so I can't give you the best timing😅
I would also recommend going early. However, that might mean that you will be in the subway during rush hour, which for me is even more unpleasant than being at Tsukiji when its busier...
Hi, love this video! Anyway, which one is more expensive, Tsujiki or Kuromon market? Do you know if i can find wagyu beef in Kuromon market? Thank you.
I think Tsukiji is more expensive than Kuromon market but it depends on shops, Wanomiya Kuromon Ichiba store or Kobeya would be good palce to have Wagyu!

Thank you for the very good video. I was last in Tsukiji this march, and for me, its gotten too touristy. At almost all the stalls/shops that looked good, people were queuing. For example, I really like Tamagoyaki, but waiting in line for at least 30 minutes for a piece of it on a stick, seemed too much for me.
