The BLV4's biggest improvement is the Smart VTX. It can go up to 400mW when conditions are right. This means combined with ELRS, we have finally able to push the range of whoops to its maximum.
Great review, think for what you get it’s pretty expensive and than I need to change something’s to make it better. Motors, cam, canopy, props… Guess I’m going to keep flying my fractal and mob6. Stay safe
Just got the crossfire version myself. Been rippin indoors just in angle mode for now. But I love it already. Once it stops raining. Wanna take it outside for acro and open it up.
The color got me. Unfortunately, after my BLV3, the color is the only thing that got me..... A HappyModel ELRS board in a Meteor frame with 25k motors is my happy place.
Even though I can't do half the stuff (stuck in angle/horizon), I do love your reviews. Your perspective is way different and reviews make me chuckle, but the honesty is #1. Oh, I have brushless stuff from HM, NBD, IFlight and others...but those "brushed" NBD are the shiznit! Motors that wear out, props with fragile shaft mounts and down I mentioned the motors, lol. Truthfully, I wish you, Nick B, Mr Shutterbug or Botgrinder would entertain a 65mm brushed review. Cuz these are fun...2 of my brushed has the PMB tune. Any who, keep doing it man, much love.
I had Brandon Beans offer to send me a brushed build to borrow. He did the build and is very happy with it. One day soon hopefully. Really appreciate the support 🙏 Thank you!
I think the weight is more of a factor than the motors. More kv may help a bit, but as heavy as it is, higher kv can only help so much. The motors I put on it were 0702, which dropped the weight tremendously! It is still sitting at $160 which I would consider pretty darn expensive for a 65mm chonker. That's just my opinion.
This was my first drone coming from simulator. I'm glad I got something a bit slower as the sim skills don't transfer as much as people make it out to be. Put maybe about 30 batteries into it so far and I'm definitely addicted. Going to probably do a kit next though.
Technically it does freestyle… but not well… at all… the improvements help significantly though… just gotta change the motors now. And it’ll be good. But you gotta ask yourself… at that point… should you just start from scratch??? Good overview man!
Been having a lot of fun flying the new Acrobee65 BLv4 with the Flow 25,000KV motors! I think the 19,000KV motors are better suited to cruising around and relatively relaxed stunt flying. I wanted more power for whoop racing and eventually performing stunts. Same thing with the BLv3, those 18,000kv motors were just too slow -- love the BLv3 now with 23,000kv motors!
@@KOrnhOliO1 Pretty much. I wouldn't use their heavy frame and canopy anyway. Their camera is okay IMO. All of their stuff is just so ridiculously heavy, that putting it on a 65mm whoop doesn't make much sense.
thanks for the review! wish i saw it earlier... tried blv4 ghost edition on 2s... vtx shuts off consistently after a few seconds of flying. still works ok after going back to 1s... just curious if u guys have seen the same thing on 2s
Hello, good video, I know you have a lot of experience with 1s drones and I would like to ask you, which of the ones you have tried currently is your favorite or the best at the moment?
Stop body shaming the chunky drone. nice and honest review for the chunky drone. is that the same quad OG reviewed, it looks like the same OSD issues. Nice updates to get 30 seconds more out of the snowblower. Very Crisp and make sure to stay away from those Crocs. teehee.
So glad I watched this review on the toilet because when you picked that iron up... yeah, you get the idea. Way overpriced IMO but whatevs. You do you Jesse, you do you 🎈🤡
Someone keyed Vincent Vega's car right on video. What's more chickenshit than f***ing with a man's automobile? I mean, don't f*** with another man's vehicle.
Did you say $160 for a 65 whoop? I know there's inflation and things have gotten more expensive but there's no way I would spend that much money for that. Sorry, newbeedrone
They have the hummingbird 65 for a lot less, but the fc only does 1s. The Acrobee does 2s and has the onboard 400mw vtx. I'm more worried about the weight. My HDZero 1s 65 build with 22K motors and BT2.0 is 24grams. How is this analog bird so heavy?
NO, it's not worth it! 👎💸 Newbeedrone's own gear they make is over priced. Simple as that. This should be $129. It's ridiculous to pay $160 for a 65mm whoop BNF... With a pretty soft focus camera and only 19000kv motors. I've just never understood why they are so in love with their gear that they have to price it about 25% more than it should sell for. And, as you said Heads, it flies "Dumpy" right out of the box! $160 for Dumpy?... I'm not paying it! 🚫🤬🖕
1:39 Trippy spin so hard the OSD shutoff 😅
Ciotti was having trouble with the OSD blinking on and off too. Sounds like NBD has a bug.
Ciotti showed me, his was really bad. Wonder what the difference was?
Ugh. Not this issue....again? I was just about to plunk down, hmmmmmm.
Wish the kitty would have attacked! Mine do and it's hilarious to just suddenly see kitty face and paws in the cam while rippin!
Man, i love your reviews bro4rils. The pre/post-haircut convo was so good.
My first whoop was from newbeedrone, always recommend them for new starters, now they're all bits and bobs 👍
The BLV4's biggest improvement is the Smart VTX. It can go up to 400mW when conditions are right. This means combined with ELRS, we have finally able to push the range of whoops to its maximum.
Pushing the range of a whoop is nice, but with flight times that short it kind of defeats the purpose of the range.
@@InfinityLoops Hmm maybe you're right. We think it will still fit some people's needs though. Anyway, real question is: Does it freestyle? 🤔🤔🤔
The solder iron was so funny😂
finaly some one that shows what it realy can do thanks for the info ,this going to be my first whoop in 3 years
Great review, and sick flight, as always. Thanks Heads
straight ripped the purple nurple, great flying man!

these reviews are even better when watched in your fpv goggles.

The 27000 KV version is out. Have you tried it? Do you think the added KV makes it a capable freestyler? Thanks!

Hi Heads! I like that it's purple. The camera has a really nice image quality. But 160 no I would buy or build something else.

Curious to see how this compares to the 2s Mosquito. Also, would you say Sim is harder or easier compared to real life
@@cold-frontin_penguin7902 sim is easier imo. You fall a lot faster in real life lol
@@mamizoumain lol! Damn, not very encouraging. Tried horizon mode or straight acro out the door?
I suggest doing your own build and build Heads daily driver using the Fractal 75 frame! 😎🤘

Agreed! Too much money to buy it and have to modify it! Better to build what you really want from scratch. 😎🤘

Nice review!
I'd be interested in knowing how it flies in a NewbeeThicc configuration...Fractal 75, pico razer, lighter 0802 motors.
In other words, just pick and choose your parts and build your own. Forget buying this BNF when you're gonna change our so many parts! 🙄🤷

did you make any PID tune adjustments after the mods? wondering because I'm thinking of changing out the stock motors on mine too
No adjustments to PIDs that I can remember.
Good stuff!
What changes did you make in betaflight to make it fly better?
Does it work with the dji goggles v2? Is it caddx Vista?
This is BnF is analog
