On Tuesday June 15, 2021, just days before the 50th anniversary of Nixon’s declaration of the war on drugs, U.S. House Representatives Cori Bush and Bonnie Watson Coleman unveiled the groundbreaking Drug Policy Reform Act. The bill was formally introduced on June 17th, 2021. This legislation would decriminalize personal use and possession of all drugs, shifting our approach towards systems of care and support.
