Btw, good for you that you are learning how to draw!! 👌 Talent is ‘just’ to be so passionate about something that nothing will stop you from learning it. 😉

I have no problem with pullbacks but annoyingly was only ever taught wings without the side pickup (or whatever it's called) and can only do them without that, but I so badly want to learn them properly and I think your tip about flicking your feet out more is really going to help, thank you! I'd be very grateful if you could let me know if you have any other tips though.

In my work as an artist, sometimes I almost think ‘I can’t do this’ and before I even finish the thought, I just go and do it! 😂
Pullbacks and wings, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to do them, but I’ll keep trying at some points in my tap journey and who knows?
I’ve come a long way in this past first year already. 💪💪 I think that just more jumping in general is a good thing for me to do. 🤔
Jenne, you look great in every outfit you wear, that first! 🫶 I really study your video’s thoroughly, and with these wider pants I can’t really see the way your legs stand, if that is correct English… 😅
Once again, a big thank you for all I learn from you, from The Netherlands! 🫶

I've been doing tap since I was four and finally got my wings six months ago at age 28. You'll get them!

@@Haileyb613 Thank you!! 🤗 I’m not sure how that will work out when you’re 50 and started age 49 as in my case, but who knows? They are not my priority now, but I’d really like to be able to do those cooool pullbacks!! 💪 I’ll just keep practicing!

I learnt wings in tap class as a kid leaning on the back of a chair.
It has a lot to do with leg strength, so if you can take some of the weight on your hands by pushing down on a kitchen counter or something that will take your weight (and not move), this will give you more time to brush-out, brush- in, and land. Also remember the outwards brush/side -scrape really is a scrape of the side of your foot; so you need to stand with your feet rolled outwards with your whole weight on the *side* of your feet (where the sole meets the leather) and towards the front as your starting position. It's a very very unnatural postion, (so let your kitchen counter take some of the weight at the start) but it's key to getting that initial outwards flick/brush/scrape.
I wish you the best of luck.
