The quote of curly saying "ill never be able to make the children laugh again" really hit me. I hope there is an afterlife of some kind, and i hope he knows that even in the 90's, when i was born, he made me laugh a whole lot.
There is an afterlife. I know because it has been revealed to me in Jesus Christ. I humbly ask that you seek him and he will reveal himself to you. We have all done wrong in our lives and have fallen short of God's perfect standard of righteousness. But he came to the earth as a man in Christ and suffered a painful death to redeem us back to himself. You and I broke God's law, and Jesus paid our fine. Thats why his last words on the cross were "it is finished" it's because the debt had been paid for all mankinds' sin, and all we must do is forsake our sins, and turn away from sin toward our suffering Savior, Christ. He then gifts us with a new heart that loves goodness, I've seen him do this in my life. It's truly supernatural, if you humbly ask to know Christ and read the new testament gospels, he will truly show you who he is. Thank you and God bless you!
They all had a difficult history and they were great, but I have an admiration for Shemp Howard because he was one of the original Stooge, then went on to a successful solo career and then had to leave and come back to The Three Stooges because Curly got sick and also to help Moe and Larry so that these two wouldn't be unemployed and the series ended.
Shemp did agree to fill in for Curly until he was able to return, but that sadly never happened. Also, after Shemp died, moe and Larry thought of making it with just them but had Joe Besser join them as the third member of the act. But it didn't last that long and then the second Joe aka curly Joe came along and the rest was history.
Shemp wasn't JUST an original stooge with Ted Healy...He was the HEAD stooge, beating up on his little brother Moe and Larry...But after Shemp left Ted Healy's act, Moe took over as head Stooge in the Columbia shorts...so when Curly had to retire and Shemp came in to substitute, for continuity's sake, Moe had to continue as Head Stooge and beat up on his older brother Shemp as if Shemp hadn't earned his stripes...That's what family does for one another...at least, back then...
Curly's last words hit me hard, I'm 27, they were all dead before I was born. Thanks to my dad introducing me to the Stooges early in my childhood I will always be a fan, and I think Curly would be happy to know that he was still making kids like me laugh long after his death. God, rest their souls.
@@gwill3019 It seemed that all the changes that took place with the Stooges involved the third Stooge. First, Shemp leaves the act because he was tired of Ted Healy's drinking heavily, and the poor way he treated the Stooges. Second, Curly was hired to replace him, and made 97 shorts before suffering the stroke that ended his career. Third, Shemp returned and stayed with the act until the day he died in 1955. Joe Besser was hired to take his place, then Joe DeRita was hired to replace him as third Stooge.

I remember as a kid staying up late to watch/catch episodes of the Three Stooges. Till this day, I'm 36 now, those days are still some of the most memorable moments of my life. Laughing so hard till my stomach hurt or I couldn't catch my breath was a common occurrence when ever watching the show. Even today, every now and then I'll tune in to watch a few episodes and still catch my self laughing uncontrollably at times. Man, I love these guys.
I'm only a teenager and I've been watching "Stooges" my whole life. My dad introduced me to them at a very young age and they've been part of my life ever since. Though I find them harder to watch without Curly, Shemp is still great.
All four were extremely talented, and overall, highly underrated! As a kid, I remember running home from grade school, so that I would get home in time to watch them on tv. Curly was my original favorite, but through the years, Larry has taken that spot. The laughter that have brought to many generations will last forever. God rest their souls!
Columbia ripping them off daily. Then cutting Shemp's pay in half, when he filled in to save the series, after Curly's death. Hollywood has been a gang of thieves since it's beginning. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite Stooge. They were all great. Moe, Larry,Curly,Shemp.
The funny thing is, most classic stars got into showbiz for a quick buck. Even those who did it out of "love for the art" eventually dropped that for the money. I've read Larry Fine's biography, where he admits the Three Stooge act was work, no more. And it paid well, so he liked it.

You say Shemp's second stint with the group was short lived, but it was 9 years. That's a good chunk of their shorts career with Colombia. I would say Joe Besser's stint was short lived.
Having their entire collection of work, I will say they are one of the greatest acts of the 20th century, and will live on with much enjoyment for generations yet to come.
I grew up watching the stooges every morning before school, and, well, really any chance I could watch them. I still watch the stooges when they come on. They are clsss acts and true icons!
I had the extreme privilege and honor to have met Moe and Larry when I was a kid, I had a picture of them and myself which was lost in an apartment fire. I grew up watching the Stooges, I still love watching their shorts and still laugh until my sides ache.
Curly's death hurt me so much. My mom and I love the guy. His mannerisms, the funny noises he used to make, and his love of animals. He was a great guy despite his personal demons.
Me and my 10yo boy watch it still to this day just like me and my dad did when I was young. My father remembers when he watched them with his dad too. It goes to show that no matter what pc cancel culture society wants to push comedy will transcend through generations. RIP stooges you've brought laughter to generations and undoubtedly many more to come.
I'll never forget, i was about 8 years old. I got a few 3 stooges videos for Christmas. I can still vaguely remember the whole family sitting around on Christmas eve night 1984 laughing until our stomachs hurt. There was something so special about that night. I wish I could have froze time. Anyway bc of that night, I've been a stooge fan for life.
I adore the Stooges. Ever since I was a kid I watched them. Moe being my favorite. I have the box set and I still watch the old episodes to this day. They take me back to a better time in America when the culture didn’t suck.
I was born in 1965 and I Grew up watching the 3 Stooges, It's Sad that all the laughs they brought so Many and Got Treated So Badly. It Breaks my Heart!! I Still Love Watching them and So Do my Children.
Absolutely shameful how the studios treated these comic talents because of 'ownership'. The star makes them money but get treated like turd. The Stooges were almost bigger than Laurel/Hardy (who also faced studio b.s.) I grew up with Stooges shorts in cinema in the 70s. Kids were afraid of Moe (lol) and adored Curly's antics.
I saw The Three Stooges in 1960 in Flushing NY. It was a water show called Aquarama 1960. I was 10. Seeing them in person is something I will always remember.
I saw them the same year!!!! ----- CNE in Toronto . Curly Joe, Larry and Moe were great !!! Curly Joe was their touring replacement. Shep added a new flavor to The Three Stooges witty, romantic antics !!!
The fist time I watched the stooges I was little and horribly sick with the flu. My dad came home from work and said he had a surprise and wouldn't tell me what it was. He pulled a DVD case out of a Walmart bag and put it into the player and told be to watch it because it would make me feel better. Gotta say, still the hardest I have ever laughed in my life. Kept replaying it over and over again.
I grew up watching the 3 stooges. Now I'm almost middle aged and still continue watching them while carrying on Curly's iconic " NUK NUK NUK " and other favorable sayings. The 3 stooges will live on forever !
Love The Three Stooges! ❤ Curly was always my favorite, so it always saddened me that he died so young. A few months ago, I came across Curly's grandson's UA-cam channel. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. LOL 🙂 It's heartwarming to see that he is keeping the laughter alive. ❤🙂 He and some friends create videos with very Stooge-like comedy, and they also traveled the country with a live Stooges act. His name is Brad "Curly G" Server.
I discovered that when they did a PSA about the Coronovirus. The actor who played Moe in that video did a fantastic job. When I saw Curly G appear my reaction was, " He does resemble his grandfather!"
True pioneers of slapstick and sadly under current climates would never even been given a chance. Sad to hear the boys seemed to struggle off-camera more than the antics they portrayed on camera. Grew up to their craziness and though didn't get it much at the time (as i was bullied and didn't see the funny in it) later came to appreciate their talent!
Shemp was my fav for a while. I liked his hair. When Moe would smack him in the back of the head, his hair would fall from behind his ears and drape over his face.
I watched The Three Stooges three hours ago before the 5:30 news came out love the stooges loved all of them this show never gets old. This show might be crazy but it's funny better than was on television this day and age let the legacy live on watch this show since was little on Friday nights and summers now glad METV brought them on that station can't wait until 5 o'clock comes on Saturday Stooge time for me. R.I.P. TO ALL OF THEM

I was always curious and sad about the fact that curly got swapped out without any warning. My habit once got so bad that I convinced my mom I was sick one day, and I stayed home watching the three stooges. The series was an unforgettable part of my childhood
Same here. Growing up in the 70's there were plenty of black and white shows still on. Mostly syndicated I think and those actors were still around. That's the way you think when you're a kid, there all here. It's a bummer looking back now but at the time for me the Stooges could not have been more alive!
My dad loved the 3 Stooges as Moe always reminded me of my dad as today is his birthday as it's 06-26-1933 died 03-02-2006. R.I.P. Joseph Anthony Clark,Sr. Moe is my favorite stooge as he reminded me of my dad. Moe is my nickname lol
The Stooges were genius at their craft and continue to bring laughter to generation after generation to millions all over the world. Timeless comedy that will last a lifetime.
I respect ya Moe! You kept everyone's spirits up and still tried to keep the group together! Rest well all of you for you were too good for this world!
Wow what can you say. I grew up with all of them, so much laughter so much fun watching them before school. Still watching them today. Rest in peace my friends wish the producer's would have treated them as the stars they were 😎👍10
I remember as a kid growing up in Australia watching them at 5:30 am every morning..... in one episode they played carpenters who were mistaken for couture designers. Their fashion show was inspired by the Dali paintings of dresses with draws built into them and fabric draped from them... I think Dali designed the costumes.... but I'd need someone to verify that .....

Even today, every now and then I'll tune in to watch a few episodes and still catch my self laughing uncontrollably at times. Man, I love these guys.
My father raised us watching them and still watches them now at the age of 82. They definitely are missed
Grew up loving these guys. They had impeccable timing and always gave it 100% in everything I saw them do.
I'm only a teenager and I've been watching "Stooges" my whole life. My dad introduced me to them at a very young age and they've been part of my life ever since. Though I find them harder to watch without Curly, Shemp is still great.
Same for my brother and i
All four were extremely talented, and overall, highly underrated! As a kid, I remember running home from grade school, so that I would get home in time to watch them on tv. Curly was my original favorite, but through the years, Larry has taken that spot. The laughter that have brought to many generations will last forever. God rest their souls!
The Three Stooges were part of my Saturday morning Lineup on TV when I was way younger. I still love them.
I remember reading, when Curley hit the floor and started spinning around, it was because he had forgotten his lines and the act stuck.
And it paid well, so he liked it.
my goodness , what a sad story to such comedy legends ,,
my childhood in the 80's/90's was filled with laughter because of three stooges , cartoon & live action movie / TV
they'll always have a place in my heart , RIP Mo , Larry , Curly
i can't thank you enough for the good times
happy times 2..catch D Letterman Int n u tube w Moes daughter... and home movie clips of Curly's wedding day fun w family and Larry..like family:)
I used to watch 3 Stooges every saturday afternoon on channel 9 in the 90's
I watched these guys in 1950/1960s. Would hurry home for school or get up early to see shows on Saturday and Sunday
If the 3 Stooges were on TV in the modern days they'd get kicked out of Hollywood for doing black face. Everyone would scream racism.
I already thought of that, probably a lot thought about what is happening in 2020. Glad these fellas are long past-- a lot has changed and not for the better.
I'm 19 years old and I can genuinely say I was introduced to these Legends when I was 4 and have not stopped watching since. Definitely a group of guys or celebrities I wish could've met
They got not even a thank you from Columbia. They're physicality and their humor is top notch, to me. Absolute hilarious guys.. I will always love the 3 Stooges. Moe, Larry and Curly!
Imagine having to cut your check by three forever
I watched The 3 Stooges as a child. I'm now almost 70 years and still love to watch them. Though as I've aged, I see another side of The Stooges. I now see just how brilliant these men were. Thank you for this video. Greg Chaney in coastal NC
These guys will always be in a special place in my heart. My dad introduced me to them when I was really young and I could never see slapstick without ever thinking of them first. Simply legends.
They made a lot of people laugh when times were hard. RIP 🙏
Times are hard now, I need my STOOGES!!!M.O'B
2021 and the three stooges still never gets old and don't believe they ever will!
When I would turn on that TV and hear that theme song ever Saturday morning while growing up, it always brought a smile to my face
Thank you 😊
Yah and through it all, you were smart enough to know their skit were dangerous if you tried the same thing.
@@nonhominid : Very true sir! And what do ya wanna bet there are plenty of liberal nutty mommies out there that disapprove of this "violence".
Well, to be true and honest so can the conservatives. Lol
But sheeesh!! Anyone remember the Washington Wives of the 80's literally campaigning against Motely Crue, Twisted Sister and Ozzy Osbourbe as actual satanists??? Uh hummmm--- Headed by Ms. Tipper GORE.
......just say'n
I still get that same smile on my face when I hear that theme song!
Stooges and little rascals were the oldies anyone over 40 will plentiful memories of.
Three stooges still comes on TV.
sleazyfellow I’m 29 and I remember them as well as I Love Lucy, Happy Days, the Munsters, Brady Bunch, I Dream of Jeanie, etc...
Ha, over 40? Im a teenager and watched both of those!
will plentiful memories of, indeed !!!
I'm 20 and I know about them yo
Wow they still make me smile! 😃 Thank 3 Stooges for the memories & laughs!
Curly was my favorite, followed by Shemp. I still love watching re-runs of the Stooges!
They crack me up!! Only my Uncle & I love the Stooges, everyone else thinks they are stupid.
R.I.P. Stooges!! Wise guy....🤣
Hello Stephanie, how are you doing today, hope you’re fine and safe from the Virus??
The STOOGES are the best...always will be.
@Kite Kōura they were great that even the Joker was a Fan, OLE!
Say three names to at least 1000 people in any country in the world.
Mickey MOUSE, MUHAMMAD ALI (I used to play in his family's home as a kid, but that's another story) and the THREE STOOGES.
Now, who.recognizes any of them?
Now, say HARRY COHEN (or COHN, or...well, whatever).
Soooo, who's he?
The prosecution rests its case. Period.
At what?
Still watching the stooges. Over 55 yrs of doing so and i appreciate them more than ever. R I P boys. You still have fans.
You say Shemp's second stint with the group was short lived, but it was 9 years. That's a good chunk of their shorts career with Colombia. I would say Joe Besser's stint was short lived.
As I so when I take off my hat, you make a good point !!
Having their entire collection of work, I will say they are one of the greatest acts of the 20th century, and will live on with much enjoyment for generations yet to come.
Three Stooges
Little Rascals
Laurel and Hardy
Have always been my favorites! 😍
Mine Too!
And The Bowery Boys
Vinyl Dad ...So Wish there was more shows like this I grew up during this era class just fun entertainment make America great again
Marx Brothers too.
Vinyl Dad me too, I loved all three, even today when I'm sixty yrs old😎😀
Nothing will ever come close to their brilliant crazy slapstick humor. As a child growing up, I couldn't get enough of them!
Hello Judith, how are you doing today, hope you’re fine and safe from the Virus??
Thank you for your video on The Three Stooges. I was one of their fans when I was a kid, and I still am, God Rest Their Beautiful Souls.
Im 40, from Central America and a channel played Three Stooges around early 90s they were so fun even beyond USA ❤️
I grew up watching the stooges every morning before school, and, well, really any chance I could watch them. I still watch the stooges when they come on. They are clsss acts and true icons!
I did too I was very young and would jump out of bed to watch.
I had the extreme privilege and honor to have met Moe and Larry when I was a kid, I had a picture of them and myself which was lost in an apartment fire. I grew up watching the Stooges, I still love watching their shorts and still laugh until my sides ache.
Hello Dennis, how are you doing today, hope you’re fine and safe from the Virus??
Curly's death hurt me so much. My mom and I love the guy. His mannerisms, the funny noises he used to make, and his love of animals. He was a great guy despite his personal demons.
That was genuinely sad, but.. Well done, thank you. There will never be a troupe like those guys again.
The Stooges were almost bigger than Laurel/Hardy (who also faced studio b.s.)
I grew up with Stooges shorts in cinema in the 70s.
Kids were afraid of Moe (lol) and adored Curly's antics.
I saw The Three Stooges in 1960 in Flushing NY. It was a water show called Aquarama 1960. I was 10. Seeing them in person is something I will always remember.
Nice!
I saw them the same year!!!! ----- CNE in Toronto .
Curly Joe, Larry and Moe were great !!!
Curly Joe was their touring replacement.
Shep added a new flavor to The Three Stooges witty, romantic antics !!!
Funniest and best act; I loved them when I was little. Such such hard lives; shame in those who cheated them. 😞
Larry was a violinist AND a boxer? That is a remarkable mix. Boxing breaks knuckles & fingers...violin playing requires extraordinary dexterity!
Funniest guys ever,I use to run home from school so I wouldn't miss the show 😂
Me too!!! Good memories.
The Stooges were always my favorites, never failed to make me laugh.
Wow, a video on UA-cam trending that isn’t garbage. Finally.
...they left out the part where they started a law firm in retirement. Dewey, Cheetum, and Howe!
😂🤣
Growing up my grandma always put the threes stooges on TV and I remember laughing and laughing at the show, it really had a good impact on my humor.
Loved these guys. First time I got stoned there was a 6 hr marathon on and my mom couldn't realize why I was laughing so hard when she got home
The BEST way to watch the 3 stooges!!!! Or anything else for that matter........
Nothing makes me hurt with laughter like the 3 stooges I sometimes laugh so hard it hurts. They were ahead of their time and still hilarious today.
R.I.P. TO ALL OF THEM
I'm 18 now, but i remember going to the library as a kid and picking up the three stooges dvds and bingeing them with my brother. I was always curious and sad about the fact that curly got swapped out without any warning. My habit once got so bad that I convinced my mom I was sick one day, and I stayed home watching the three stooges. The series was an unforgettable part of my childhood
These guy are the original comedians. I love them.
Yup. I remember watching the original cast in black & white on VHS at my great grandmother’s house as a kid. Good times.
Classic the remake movie sucked thought
Moe is there leader classic Homer Simpson line
my god father is a fan of these guys and i literally watched every episode with him growing up as a kid such amazing guys
I didn’t know until recently that all 3 of the stooges were dead before I was even born. I used to love watching them when I was young.
It's weird, for whatever reason, I thought Larry Fine had lived until at least 1994. No idea why I thought that.
I love sitting around watch the Stooges with my kids. They can still make kids laugh in 2020. RIP guys
I respect ya Moe! You kept everyone's spirits up and still tried to keep the group together! Rest well all of you for you were too good for this world!
I was crying all throughout. I didn't know how tough their lives were, and how ill-treated they were by the studios.
The trio helps keep me sane in this sometimes INSANE world!!!
I don't want to complain about anything. Thank you for this video. We as children, LOVED them!! Great memories.
Damn they had hard lives and they still managed to make us all laugh now that's talent.
Their lives weren't as hard as is depicted in this video.
Everyone had a hard life in those days. These guys got lucky compared to the rest of the greatest generation
Not to mention they got their start mocking the grave pain of the Afro-American in those days.
I saw the Stooges as a kid in the early 60s at Rocky Point Amusement park in R.I.I loved them along with my dad and have fond memories of watching them together.
Yo that sux. i remember watching the stooges on Svengoolie when i was younger.
Loved watching the stooges as a kid. Now my young kids love watching them too. Their lives on even now!
Moe didn't die 3 weeks after Larry died, it was 3 months.
In 1975
This channel constantly gets things wrong. Thank you for the fact check! I feel like channels like this are integral to keeping younger generations informed of the past.... But it's incredibly important to get things right!
@@JennaLeigh Very good point about channels such as this one providing important information on our history for younger generations. Hopefully they will improve from the constructive criticism.
@@acdc09 that is my hope too! This really is a fantastic channel- well presented, professional editing, excellent voice work.
@@JennaLeigh how can you say that channel is "fantastic" right after saying they constantly get things wrong?
