Okay I have finally had the chance to play against a gen 3 Yoola paddle at the 4 to 4.5 level and also borrowed one to play games with. I don't see the big deal and cannot tell any difference in that and for example Legacy Pro in power. Maybe just a little bit more pop but about the same control.
Your legacy pro is probably delaminated then
How long have you played with/against it? As you start to play more matches, you'll notice some players that are able to get quite a bit of pop that could be dangerous to some.
I also borrowed one, 3.75 level, didn't feel much of a difference. It was a nice paddle though.
Overblown
I played last week in a local rec game and all three of the other players were using the Joola Gen 3. One of the players was 5.0 and another was a low end pro @ 6.0. I mentioned that their paddles were banned and he smiled and said all paddles are legal in rec play. And me @ only 4.0 was told to upgrade my Selkirk.
Simone has done so much for the sport which is why she’ll always be the GOAT in my eyes. Get her on the pod!!!

jolla isn't in trouble. USAPB doesn't have the funding to defend a major lawsuit. USAPB is in real danger of becoming irrelevant and out of business.

How so?? Provide some detail/evidence/argument or we can all assume you just pulled your opinion out of a bodily orifice.
@@trumpisastump9382 Just watch the commercial for the gen 3 Joola paddles. It literally shows the trampoline effect and they advertise it as "the propulsion core". Now, the onus is on you to do your due diligence and look up the rules regarding paddles.
@@morekingofthecourt Got to give respect to Ben Johns for sticking to the gen 2, just with gen 3 labels on it lol. You can tell by the sound off the paddle that it's not a gen 3.

It's not hard to prove USAPA's position. They would have the orginal submitted paddles,and they could be scientifically compared to the ones that failed tests at the events as well as production ones oredred.
Correct... *assuming* they had the original one then yes, would be super easy.
I have played and owned the Black Ace, the GearBox PPE and the Gen 3 Joola and the latter is no more powerful the the two former.
That’s a very valid argument and one I probably agree with. However, for some reason those other paddles are passing, so something needs to be done.

@@morekingofthecourt love the pod. I don’t know why it does that; I always listen to pods in the background while I work and the ads go away on their own a few seconds after the skip button shows up. These ones play for multiple minutes unless I walk over and click skip. I just assumed content creators chose their ad rate but I must be wrong about that
If I hear one more time from the commentators AW could’ve been a professional soccer player I’m going to hurl. She’s a 17 year old kid who played a little AYSO soccer. Everybody is still playing with the joola gen3 so that sets a precedent that anything can be used to hit the ball. Joola and the gearbox pro use foam under the face of the paddle
Maybe some, but also many do. Also, if people start getting injured or something crazy because of them, sentiments will change quickly.
@@tonym753 most picklers can't name 3 pro players either. they probably don't even know the joola gen3 is no longer approved
@@morekingofthecourt if you get injured from being hit with a pickleball I think the sentiment will be that you're just a soft human. Regardless of what paddle the ball came off of.

Joola was not "banned", the paddles were delisted until they could be tested. "Banned" implies that they failed the testing. English is a complicated language, but if you post a video as an "expert" you need to be more precise.
1. Did they not fail testing / not pass testing? Which is why we are where we're at...??
2. How does one become an "expert"? Have we claimed to be such?
