@kingofthecourts Give me a break, Jimmy, if Holly Hill/ or downtown Daytona is not fancy enough for you, the beach is 15 minutes away where there are plenty of nice places to stay. I spoke with a PPA person yesterday and he said they love Pictona and always enjoy it there. Great courts and Pictona has the infrastructure to facilitate big tournaments. Everything is seamless. Also, the pickleball fan-base here is much stronger, more loyal, and supportive that many of the other lucrative alternatives where there are no one in the stands. Lastly, one of the reasons for putting Pictona in that location was to help lift the area and to build community. It’s slowly working and most find it pretty awesome that pickle contributes to that mission. Did you know any of this and wonder if it changes your perspective?

I 100% agree with you Jimmy. I was a fan of the Johns Bros and still am a big fan of Ben. It used to be when the going got rough the Johns would buckle down, right and claw back. Not it seems one thing doesn't go their way and the start bitching and moaning. It's not fun to watch and it almost guarantees they lose that match. Not fun to watch at all.

Questionable comments from Jimmy as usual. 😅 Gabe is not “good” against Ben, Jimmy. Against Collin, maybe. If Ben decided to partner with the best available partner out there the same way ALW did with CP, he’d be unbeatable by far.

I know it’s close to the holidays, but it’s so disappointing to see so many top pros skipping Daytona. Tyler, would you have played if the tournament was in October like PPA originally intended?

AB has such a chip on her shoulder. It’s embarrassing to watch a pro laugh at her opponent, CP, who falls trying to get to a drop shot from AB. Funny how the next play she tried to Ernie but missed and she lost that point…KARMA! I had to laugh at that one. Her attitude and snarky comments show who she really is, and it’s not good. At All! Her complaining to the ref to check CPs paddle is laughable. What a poor loser and sport.

Jimmy, I agree PPA handled Quong dropping out totally incorrectly but I don't think giving players a free 22 point differential, like they won the lottery, is fair either as long as point differential is a major tie breaker.

Jimmy spends too much time bitching and hating on CJ. Makes it hard to watch you guys. We get it, you don’t like the guy.

This was the first PPA I attended and it was soooooo much fun--beautiful venue and very exciting to see the pros from courtside. Even at the warm up courts I was entertained, I could have stayed there the entire day. I didn't have enough time there at all. Next time....

I think Matt Wright would be the perfect partner for Ben but I don't think Matt Wright wants to play enough events to be a permanent partner.

I thought Anna questioning Catherine's paddle was pathetic and was probably because she was losing. Fed is a turd - terrible sportsmanship and why did the refs let him argue so long after getting the technical?! I was hoping they would kick him out and I was so happy Connor was able to keep his focus and win that match. ALW is just a phenom and I sure hope the pickleball community understands how lucky they are to have her - she puts fans in the seats - and for a 17 yr old her mental strength is amazing and being so young she can probably even get better!

I volunteered in San Clemente and was checking wrist bands for entrance to courtside seating. Not paying attention to faces or realizing who I was speaking with, I asked Dylan Frazier to see the color of his wrist band. He was so nice, smiled and simply pulled back his sweatshirt sleeve to show me his player wristband. What a gentleman.

I agree with Jimmy....CJ's antics make the game boring.

All due respect to Tyson, great player, big personality, etc…but “most electrifying player in the sport”? Maybe a few years ago but IMO he’s been overshadowed by the newer players. And let’s be honest - you’ve got to make it to at least the quarters or semis consistently to maintain that title.

Jimmy - try Nasty Erne Nelson in Orem for an indoor court (just a private court, but good availability & booking system). Also, outdoor courts r still GREAT in Utah, as long as it's sunny & at least 40 degrees!!!

FED'S antics on the court should have come to a suspension in his singles match against Conor Garnettt.

Ignatowich brags about coaching classes constantly day after day, week after week. He needs to grind his own game and forget about teaching. Unless he realizes he is not good enough and is moving away from competition.
