Love hank and the boys, have this as ringtone on my phone, saw them 1983 empire sunderland. Everyone was up dancing brilliant.never tire of listening to it and always watch them on UA-cam ❤ ,
I CAN'T EXPLAIN THE FEELING OF LISTENING TO THIS MELODY. .. GOD CREATE YOU FOR GIVING SUCH MARVELLOUS SOUND TO US. ... THANK GOD FOR GIVING US SUCH A GOOD GUITARIST TO THE WORLD. ..I'm kenneth from sri lanka
Burns guitars but a colour matched Fender Jazz bass. I remember this being a televised Pan European transmission at the end of 1969 to celebrate a great decade of music. Takes me back!
Heard this song on a local radio station today(5/21/21) in LYH VA. Had not heard this version in awhile. Always loved this song. I got involved in music in my 4th grade year(1970/71) and althrough my senior (1979) year. I always requested to play this song. All my music teachers denied my request.
Don't know what country this was filmed in, but it was Tony Meehan on drums sitting in for Brian Bennett. Tony was called upon a few times to sit in for BB around 66-67.
Deshalb habe ich Ende der 50er eine Band gegründet und wir hatten viel Spass. Dieses Lied wird bei meinem Begräbnis gespielt, dann ist alles in Ordnung.
The captioning on this video is inaccurate The drummer you see is not Brian Bennett, who was the regular drummer at the time and still is. It is Tony Meehan, who was on the original record and came back to mime to his own playing for this TV show. The bass guitarist, who gets no caption, is John Rostill, who was also the regular Shadows bass player when the TV show was made. He is miming to the playing of Jet Harris, who put down the bass line on the record 10 years earlier.
Man.. they were dancing to the rhythm of LSD. Seeing colours that didn't exist in the normal spectrum. It's amazing how disconnected the dance is to the music. But then again, with that amount of products in their bloodstreams, I guess it is expected.
Nearly the original Shadows line-up, with Tony Meehan on drums. Interesting that John Rostill is playing his Fender Bass, normally he played his Burns bass when on stage. All Shadows studio recordings which John played on, he used his Fender bass, he never used the Burns bass on any recordings!
4 Sharp dressed men, playing some of most beautiful guitar music ever written and steppin' at the same time. Too cool.
NOT AS GOOD AS OASIS THOUGH
@@thespursfan7564 you must have shit in your ears
And their music was so good they didn’t need lyrics. Dad played The Shadows music in Perth in cover bands. He was brilliant

"Hank Marvin, guitar magician" .... absolutely! 😊💖
I played this track at my father's funeral today. It will always remind me of my father. Thank you for the music.
Oh boy, straight back to my childhood and a tear in my eye.
Thank the magnificent 4 for giving us so everlasting playing songs till 2023.
The Shadows with Hank Marvin APACHE - the best ever!!!!!
Just great music from a legendary group with Hank Marvin in the lead.

You just don't see bands dress like that any more. Smart looking, well dressed, beautiful music.

I still love to listen.
I met a guy yesterday who is a musician and a good friend of Bruce Welch, he had some interesting stories to tell
My mother got this record in the 60ies to dance on but ... my father was scared to death to dance. I still love this tune, so love you guys !!

From the days of great music. I think that young people, today, would like it if they knew it existed.
Incredible, iconic Old West and to think these gents are British!
I remember have the single to this when I was a child. Still great today.
I love the Beatles but I've got to hand it to the band who truly started the British Invasion

Hank Marvin as Guitar Magician - sounds pretty accurate.
Calidad de música y armonías....definitivamente no soy de este siglo, era mejor todo antes

Played by the funeral of my beloved daddy, every time i Here iT i must cry!
I'm the same with "Song Of India". But I play it every year on his birthday.

The Shadows - Apache (HQ)
Espetacular!!! Love!!!!
The favorite song of my mother..

People would dance to anything in the sixties, I would just sit and watch in awe !

I have never seen anyone else play bass guitar like John Rostill. He strums it like rhythm guitar.
