Probably the most touching debt-free scream ever. How classy and kind to keep mentioning Andrew all the way through to the countdown. Jacey and Mathilda, you were blessed with a GOOD man in your lives. May you thrive and continue his legacy.
That was so lovely. Couldn’t see a thing for the following ten minutes. Jacey did a beautiful job of honoring Andrew and I am so glad they didn’t rush to “rescue” her from her tears. Losing a spouse is life-altering.
Yep, I started crying 😭 How tragic, and what a strong Woman to keep pushing forward. Thank God they had a plan in place for the worst circumstances that unfortunately evolved to reality.
I was wondering why she was alone and then the story why. 😢 devastating. Keep it up Jacey.
Sad that he died on her Birthday. What a way to remember your Birthday. Cried and cried. I’m a widow too so I empathize with some of her journey. Keep going girl! You can do this. Am praying for you!
Ah man it had my choking up when you hear her voice change when she tells us about the accident.. I was only listening on my headset so didnt reflect on that she was alone til then. I admire her strenght
😂 What's in your wallet? Money!
Definitely one of my favorite Dave quotes!!
My husband passed away 8 months ago with no life insurance. It was a shock to go down to 1 income. I am working overtime, Doordashing and selling stuff online to pay off my debts. It is very hard but I'm working through it. I hope to one day be able to be debt free.
❤🙏
Prayers for you. So sorry to hear
🙏 ❤
Keep your head up, friend
Hugs and best of luck!
Well I’m broken hearted now after that debt free scream. Congratulations to this beautiful widow. ❤❤❤
Steve from Boston my condolences brother stay strong for your children and most importantly yourself.
Josh, Steve, the adopting family, Jacey's scream.... So many wonderful people fighting and inspiring.
I love when these two are together. It’s the perfect balance. ❤
JC your story with Andrew is inspiring! It moved me to tears. What a strong woman you are.
There were tears so bad I couldn't see through them. This episode should have been titled widows & war heroes.
my heart goes out to Steve in MA. what a tough situation to be in. i'm tearing up listening to him and admire his ability to keep it together. I hope he finds a wonderful woman to be with him within the next couple of years
Jacey - very brave of you. I listened on the podcast, then watched the video. You have an entire Ramsey community lifting you up when you need it.
Love and congrats to you, Jacey!!
I am sure that Andrew is SO proud of both of you!!!❤❤
I'm in my 50s and widowed WAY too young too!! ❤My husband and I became baby steps millionaires just a few months before I lost him unexpectedly almost two years ago.
Keep the faith and keep moving forward. Andrew will never leave you, don't forget that, your still a team. SO PROUD of you - it took incredible courage to share your story and do your debt free scream!!
My father has never had a credit card in his life and hes a home owner. He doesnt like debt and always bought used cars. The only debt he ever had was his home. He did it right from the beginning im learning from him and im gettting out of debt and never using my credit cards again
Dave’s response to Steve illustrates why he’s the GOAT in his arena. He may not have a PhD but he knows people and he’s walked thru these situations enough times to know how to approach this tough stuff.
One of the reasons I love Mr Ramsey is that he will call out BS without an issue, and go down HARD on idiots. But, even more importantly, he is invariably gracious and supportive of those who are fighting and hurting and trying to get out through a bad patch. He's got a magnificent heart.
Yessss! John Deloney mentioning Carbon Cowboys!!! Regenerating soil is a huge money saver!!!!
So many great Dave quotes in this one, "That's just stupid on a string." 😂😂😂😂😂
I am crying listening to Jacey. Wow!
I listened to this online but I had to come here and watch it. What an amazing debt-free scream❤ Jacey thank you for sharing your heartbreak with the world, we are so proud of you! May Andrew's memory be a blessing to you and your daughter throughout your life❤
Way to go Jacey and Andrew!!! I know he’s proud of you for getting up there to tell y’all’s story! 🤗
Jacey made me cried. May the lord comfort her during this difficult time.
Jacey broke my heart but wow what a woman. He must be cheering her on from up there
We should mail our cancelled cards to Dave to cut up on air. lol
I’m just imagining a pile of cards so high, we can’t see him.
My mom said in the 1970s they didn't make a lot of money but NO ONE would give them a credit card. Finally they got a SEARS card with a low limit. The system was MUCH stricter then.
God bless you Josh. And thank you for your service. May God help you and your family.
Loved, loved, loved this episode! Some amazing caller, as well as an amazing debt free scream today. I was inspired even more than usual by the strength and bravery of some of these callers and JC!
God bless you Jacey and baby Matilda.
Boy!!! If I only could start over in life I would start like Hillary!! She is beyond her years and will become Very successful if she stays on that path!! A BIG CONGRATULATIONS 👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉!
My heart goes out to her. I’m sorry she lost her husband
Jacey you are so strong and I feel for you.
God bless
Great episode. Way to go, Jacey 💚
Today broadcast was pretty emotional. I like listening to this show and I agree with most of it, and I follow most of it. However, most comments I leave may seem negative. It is just that when I agree on big things, I keep quiet. When I disagree on small things I write about it. 12 years ago I used to listen to Dave on AM radio. "When debt is dumb, cash is king.." he used to say.
And the paid off home mortgage has taken the place of the BMW as the status symbol of choice.
To the potential kidney donor- see if the transplant center you are working with works with the National Kidney Registry… they have Donor shield that offers some wage reimbursement and will cover some of the costs of donating (hotel stay, fuel…). I used them when I donated my kidney in 2021…. There is also NLDAC if your transplant center doesn’t use National Kidney Registry…. I used NLDAC for my liver donation in May and they covered hotel/food/fuel for the donation. Good Luck!!!!
Credit cards are a useful tool for those of us who are DISCIPLINED to pay them off IN FULL every month. I had stopped using them until my debit card was compromised over a weekend, and I saw my checking account DRAINED in real time. I could not contact my financial institution until Monday. Then I had to wait a couple of days for my financial institution to reimburse me for the stolen money. Therefore, I stopped using my debit card. WHY put your OWN money at risk? This is the reason why I use a credit card AND continue to pay it off in full every month. I have not paid ONE penny in credit card interest in over 20 years. So Dave, SOME of us CAN handle credit cards wisely. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
So wonderful to hear about the adoption family.
GOD BLESS DAVE RAMSEY AND HIS TEAM. ❤️💚💙
I had a manager who liked to yell and get mad at his crew every now and then. My boss told me if he did that to any of us to just clock out and leave. So I did. I am in a trade with high demand, so I have privileges there, but don't let your boss miss treat you. It's important to know your worth and what's worth putting up with and what isn't
Hard core truth here.
It's so hilarious when the different Ramsey personalities laugh at the jokes Dave has on repeat, as if it's the first time they've ever heard them. Job security, I guess. Only Rachel doesn't feel the need, bless her.
Blood security lol Honestly it's probably to keep the vibes of the show. It would be pretty awkward if his jokes were constantly met with silence on air.
And I used to work for a chiropractor. Dave is telling the truth.
I’m a CPA in Canada, I need a credit card in order to file certain online tax reports and pay the fee by credit card. You can’t do it without a credit card.
That’s just stupid
The interest rate has increased eight times since March of last year, to 5% now. My retirement fund has suffered greatly over the past few years due to inflation at 7% and mortgage rates at over 7.5%, so I'm wondering how older people retire and survive in such an unsteady economy. Obviously, now is not the time for me to play the long term game.
I completely agree. As someone who recently retired, I had very little in retirement funds compared to my portfolio balance over the previous three years, no debt, and approximately 1.2 million in outside retirement accounts. Actually, one can only neglect rather than deny the importance of the invt-advisor. just need to conduct research to identify a reliable one.
The important thing is to manage your money, not how much you save. It still comes down to income vs. expenses whether you work for a living or invest, so sure, you might check into financial consultants for a plan that works for you.
That's really interesting. I have a shrinking portfolio; how can I get in touch with the invt-advisor that is helping you?
"Leah Foster Alderman."

THANK YOU
I Love the foster parents calling in 😊.
For all the Americans listening please don't assume that shops in Europe will accept dollars just as we wouldn't assume American shops would accept euros
Dave didn't even read the article he quoted about Wells Fargo's renter's card. The reason it didn't work out for Wells Fargo isn't because users didn't pay it. It's because they DID pay it and didn't run monthly balances like they had thought they would. So savvy people took them for a ride and likely earned cash back doing it.
But that doesn't support his belief that every single person is a simpleton when it comes to credit cards, you see.
Y’all are idiots
Yeah, I came to the comments to say the same thing. I love Dave, but he was being dishonest about Wells Fargo. The bank was paying the 3% credit card fee transaction for rent in hopes that the credit card owners would carry large debt balances with interest rates of 30%. Trouble is, 75% of the credit-card owners were fiscally responsible, and never carried debt, so Wells Fargo lost money, LOL.
Dave has to understand that people like him are helping to make many more fiscally responsible people who CAN use a credit card without ever carrying debt. He does his job so well that he might make himself obsolete.
And yet how many people got in over their heads with yet another scummy CC issuer.
Regarding the fellow with the ranch,
for fun he should watch Jeremy Clarkson's Farm. Hilarious. Top Gear was great and all, but he bought this small farm in the Cotswolds and tried to make it work. Got to the end of the first year and looked at the books and i won't say what he made, but we were literally running for the nearest bathroom because we were laughing so hard.
The guy from Amarillo is awesome!!
I missed Dave!!!😭😭😭
What’s in your wallet?
Money!!!
😆
Please turn that into a UA-cam short!!
You guys are awesome
I'm all for a lean state, personal responsibility and free market economy, but a man whose wife passed away during birth can't be struggling with medical bills. One of the few things tax payers' money should go into is supporting such people. Makes much more sense than spending on wars and bureaucracy...
Fry Fru! That dog has a better credit score than most people.
Ramsey is an inspiration!
I live in a nice area of the Los Angeles suburbs and anyone who own their homes outright would be in the millionaire. Now if we remove the value of house we live in most of us will have a problem breaking the million dollar mark. Its why the banks measure a persons worth minus the home.
For Dave bragging about his $600 million company, $200 million studio, and being "untouchable" in the space they're in - Proverbs 16v18. Hubris has been the downfall of both civilizations and individuals. Humility is rare among this lot.
Well. Do you think he is bragging b/c he wants to tell Clay that he is better and doesn’t care if Clay makes good or bad financial decisions.
Or do you think he is sharing information that could benefit Clay, and Dave is trying to help Clay better understand things and hopefully succeed financially?
Bragging is part of how you interpret things. I don’t want a $600 million building with a $200 million studio. So I couldn’t care less.
The message I took was to create a strong foundation, the message you took was that Dave has Expensive things. lol.
Definitely didn’t take that thought away from that segment. He was just telling the caller by example how he created a huge business without debt
I agree with the original poster. The number of times I have heard Dave brag about what he has doesn’t seem like it’s inspirational, but being a braggart.
So if you had all that you wouldn’t talk about it? Or all the hard work and the way to go about doing it? It only sounds like bragging to you
28:15 missed a good Dave rant - exactly what I needed
"Debt" is second for me, "Entertainment" is still the overmarketed stuff. Hence, news media, social media and technology. Even space, TV, movies, cellphones, travel, transportation and sports are entertainment.
Would someone please let Dave know that "exasperating," the word he regularly uses, and "exacerbating," the word he means, do not mean the same thing?
You took the words right out of my mouth! It exasperates me every time Dave says that instead of the correct word... exacerbate.😉😂 Although, that may just be how he pronounces it. I had a co-worker who said "sim-you-lar" instead of the proper pronunciation, "similar." It was nails on a chalkboard listening to her.
@bettedavis9261 I think it is more that self proclaimed hillbilly twang. In written form I am sure he knows the difference
First time I cried watching the Dave Ramsey show.
I work at a kitchen boutique store and have the best bosses in the world, love my job, don’t make a ton per hour but i will go with less money and be happy than more money and miserable
Great show today
Dave! Who gave you the cards to cut today?? Haha😅
That was amazing 😂
That’s what I was thinking 😂
They used to ask fans to bring in cards or mail them once the accounts are closed. They used to give a discount in the book store if you brought in cards he can use to cut up.
I'm gonna be real. Those we're some good scissors to snip those cards that easy. Mine probably would've broken😂
Josh please go be a teacher or something Great. Thank You for your Service. My son is the assistant men's LaCrosse Coach at UAH. He is also a Veteran.
"You have an idea in the shower every morning, that you can't do it you don't borrow money."
O.o I feel seen and scolded
I love that y’all are matching 😂
I love that Dave said “rocket surgery” 😂
Deloney was ready to analyze Steve and he got shut down. Steve is calling about a financial question only.
He's always trying to shoehorn a therapy session and find trauma even if there isn't any. Callers are usually too nervous to shut him down.
How much of an emergency fund. do I need when, I am a before time, retired. because of mental health issues. and get money from the state every month. to the day I transfer to age retiredment as a 72 year old? I live for 1500$ a month. and save the rest 500$ some month under if I need something
Dave is back, back again! Delony needs to stay in his Mental Health Lane. Dave is King.
that flight attendant was saying FAA has work regulations. She must follow and maybe can't hop into Uber or whatever.
My grandparents couldn’t afford to send my mother to college so she didn’t go!!
My stepmother’s parents wouldn’t pay for her to go to school. So she put herself through college as an adult!!
Student loans were not so much an option for baby boomers.
My dad had the GI bill and few classes completed before the Vietnam service. So he went to the college that took the most credit and got an accounting degree. It's unfortunate to not to afford school. Especially back then.
11:35 - 20:18 This! 🔥💯
Video title and description is misspelled
When Dave Ramsey retires the show want be the same. His daughter Rachel is great on the show. I always like George Kambrell. I think Dr John Delong is very insightful. Maybe Dave Ramsey will stay till he is 70. Then he can retire.
I can potato on the couch for about 2 weeks before I start losing it.
Everyone talks about the plan in the chat until a woman who's about to be rich calls, then the jealousy and envy come out. It's pathetic.
They are going to fire you so instead get a different job
Tyler: I can't hear anything that shows they can't afford a house, has some of the call been deleted?
His wifes job comes with housing. If she quits they lose both their free housing and her income. This is why he can't afford a house right now.
They are still in debt, wanting to skip baby step 2.
Show sure does go quick when you fast forward through all John’s preaching 😂 I only need to hear him draw breath and im like ⏩⏩⏩
Ramsey should have a draw once in awhile to pay off someone debt. Like Oprah's Christmas giveaways
He actually sometimes buys mass amounts of debt for Christmas and forgives it! He has his team call the debtor and let them know!
Like everyone waits for the Govt 😜
"And you get a car, and you get a car, and you get a car..."
Yes!!!!!🎉
It's exacerbated not exasperated
Hey Dave, you don’t have to pay the 18% interest if you use a credit card to buy the stuff you need and pay it off each month because you have the money. Nothing is hardly a one solution fits all. Stop it.
Rocket 🚀 surgery? 😂
2:03:44 Hmm…
Here's a novel idea I never hear mentioned. Get off social media. It's horrible for you. Stop pretending it's how you keep in touch. Stop pretending that it's good for your mental health. It's not get off of it.
It's true. Very damaging to self esteem. It's a waste of time. 😢 Really something to think about. You see millionaires and models.
That woman called for validation. Imagine calling the Dave Ramsey show to gossip about your coworkers and people on Instagram... The problem with millennials and Gen z is that they worry about the wrong things. Like John said, if she would’ve just called and said “I have 100K left on my house. Congratulate me “They’d most likely would. 😂
The root of her question was that she’s insecure and compares herself to anyone that appears to be doing better than her irl and on social media. If she doesn’t fix this, she will never be happy with her own accomplishments.
People told me to get a 10,000loan for a car. I drive a 1997 crown victorian. Paid 2,000.00
Drank for 28 years straight. Chronic gout got me to stop 🦶
1:10:37 35% tax rate? Who is paying that?
25% Federal and 5% Massachusetts state tax but he said 145K netting $110K which is 25%
Just the middle class. The millionaires, the billionaires, and the corporations pay about 21%. And a lot of them pay nothing. This is the very reason we need equitable tax rates, and a wealth, tax on the rich.
I am. We get taxed 10 way from Sunday,
CHM is a joke.
You are never certain if your medical event is going to be eligible. Meanwhile you continue to pay in while basically you go without health insurance
@@pamsmith1665 what the heck are you talking about????
You need a credit card to buy a flight ticket online…!!!
lol not true
I haven't had a credit card in years, and when I fly or rent a car, they take my debit card without a single problem.😊
❤❤❤❤❤
Look at your little 17 year old and say.. nnnOooo! NAAOOHHH!!
How can God exist when bad things happen? Look at Jesus on the Cross. He joined us.
$600 million for an office building in rural TN? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah right, I was also like: what? 🤔🤔
I think he meant the total value of the company, not the building. Could be wrong.
She take my money when im in need
Yea she's a triflin' friend indeed
Oh she's a gold digger way over town
That digs on me
I like Delony, but God can he stop with the Batman voice.
☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Sounds like she worked for the post office…
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
BS work too many hours just lazy
