The Meinl Percussion Bass Box is one of my favorite instruments. It can be used as a kick drum alternative for chill acoustic gigs and street performances. The BassBoX mounts to a standard bass drum pedal for skid-free stability - this stomp box even includes an L-shaped beater with a rubber striker to have you ready for the gig the day it arrives. An audience-facing bass port gives the BassBoX good projection for the stage and convenient access for miking.
Not just you performing, but the smile and energy you bring says it all. It sounds great with my headphones on.

I'm more into the marching percussion side of things but this stuff here is what makes me love percussion. If I had the money I would have bought all of this stuff I'd be playing it 24/7, it looks so fun and like you said, it would expand my creativity and also let me get out of my comfort zone as a percussionist

Love this setup. What are you using for sticks? I love the sound on the conga . I have been searching for something to use on my congas . I just ordered a set of timbales too. Excited to play around with them when they come .

Hey! Thanks so much! I'm not sure what kind of recordings you are talking about, but I did put out an album with my friend and new Akhamie artist Sarah Reasner this last year called I Choose Love and coming soon will be an acoustic album where we remade most of the songs on the first album and then added some new songs. For that recording I used my smaller setup with the bass box. Is that what you mean?

I like this set up but playing a conga with a stick seems really wrong to me because congas are capable of producing so many great sounds when played by hand. It’s like using a guitar pick to play violin.
