One thing is for sure true..Thugs don't discriminate..Let it be known though.. don't mistake kindness as a weakness in anyone no matter what their situation is..In the old days they would address the deaf as deaf an dumb..nothing can be said that is further than the truth or that is more offensive..Still to this day you may find some old timers that still use that term though..Thankfully we as a society and through the hard work and abilities of the deaf community and who has done some of the most amazing things that was never thought possible long ago ..the word dumb is no longer a label that is used nor should have ever been used as well ..
