Chad .... You are DEFINITELY the "Tim Taylor" of RV maintenance !!!! You can NEVER have too many tools .....
Day 1 not 3 hours after we picked up our new trailer -- we blew a fuse on the tongue jack. Luckily, we walked over to the old trailer, found the box of spare fuses, and back in business... ha-ha. Fuses are DEFINITELY a day one acquisition!
Here is my tool plan. I'll save thousands of dollars and just follow you guys from campsite to campsite.
Me too 👍
This was like watching a kid open up presents.... except i wasn't the kid! 😫👍🤣🇺🇸
Well done Chad. A man can never have to many tools, guns, or toilet paper.....
Oh shoot, now I have to go buy another Gun! AND some more ammo while I'm at it.
Steve Castro
Flashlights...!
If my wife saw this, she would understand how my brain works. So so well done both of you. This is our 2nd year of RV'ing and she thinks I bring to many tools. Thank you very much for helping rationalize bringing the full kit!
Chad, You've done Tim Taylor PROUD!! Nice job1
You must be been a marine
No one left behind
Only gets better as I watch
Your Wife is lightning up a lot more than used to and she is just the cutest thing and makes you look really good.
Something tells me when you sold your house to full time, you kept ALL of your tools :) If there's anyone to RV caravan with, it's you two. You have everything anyone can need "just in case". Freakin bloopers get me everytime!
Tools are an awesome thing to have. When you’re out in the middle of nowhere and something breaks and you can fix it if you had the tool.
A Master Mechanic with many years of experience and a lifetime of common sense, something you can't teach. Great video
Just wanted to say how helpful your videos have been to me and my wife. Shedding a lot of light on many subjects that have been weighting on our minds. Keep up the great work and safe travels. Hope to meet you guys in person some day!
💗
Yeah, I stuff my toolbox with "just Incase" items...... For both me and anyone I come across in need. Nice toolbox!
Great info, ty 👍
Collaboration?
I wondered why y’all had an F-450 and a triple axle toy hauler for two people and an Indian motorcycle. Now I know it’s for all the tools! As a professional mechanic I have to say, nice job 👍 you are well prepared for most anything.
I would recommend to add 3 items to your kit. I'm sure Chad wouldn't mind looking for these the next time he's at Lowes or Harbor Freight. A "cheater" pipe that fits that long 1/2 drive breaker bar because there will always be that "one bolt" you can't crack loose. A file set with a "rat tail" (round), flat or with a rasp and a triangle for when you've boogered up some threads and have to make a quick fix. Lastly, I would recommend a smaller (1.5t - 2t) floor jack preferably aluminum whose handle can also double as a cheater pipe in a pinch. Love the videos and the energy that you display in these educational episodes. Stay safe.
Yep, my hubs LOVED this video (of course🤣)!! NOW we need Tara to do an inside organization video of all the tips & tricks to organize that inside🤗
That is in the works.. 👍🏼 😊
Haha you guys are great. My sister and her husband are working towards the RV life with me soon to follow. I sent them this video because it’s perfect for understanding life on the road. I’m 52, living alone and a trucker/mechanic/electrician/plumber/carpenter etc so I get you COMPLETELY on your tool choices lol. I’m really enjoying your videos along with the Hanks videos. Y’all are helping me to motivate and get my life in gear to go RVing. Just have to sell this house now lol
Boys and their toys 😂 I have a hubby just like this...I laugh but it’s awesome they can fix everything.
Another great use for the heat gun is to heat up and remove eternabond tape. The folks we bought our 2000 Brave from used eternabond to (failed) repair a cracked skylight. The only way to get the eternabond off without damaging the roof was a good heat gun. I spent 2 days getting about 1/3 of it off, the rest came off quite clean, without damaging the roof using the heat gun.
Yes! Couldn’t wait for this video. THANKS GUYS STAY SAFE!
One thing we've learned to keep on hand is some Flex Seal tape - we ran under a tree limb at a Navy base campground in Pensacola and ripped the roof membrane - just small rips but six of them. It was raining, and that tape kept the roof from leaking until we were able to get to Lazydays and get the membrane replace. Probably saved us a ton of water damage, and we've added a couple of Flex Seal products to our repair arsenal.
Holy cow...no wonder you need a F450 with a tool box and a 395MS!!! I'd like to say I'm not far off, but I AM!!! The PEX Tools, blower (in my case Makita), and that blessed butane torch are on my need-to-have list now!
awe awe awe... visions of Tim the Tool Man Taylor! Well done.
The wife just gave you a laughing “dirk” classification when you said why you had a blower. We’re both official dorks now. Love your show.
Great video. That truck toolbox is like magic. You just keep on pulling out more tools! LOL!
I LOVE the humor in this episode! ❤️
Great Video! Lube Shuttle ROCKS! NO long rod, no mess, easy grease change, Love it !
Chad you could open your own hardware store! You're lucky to have all that storage and an understanding wife! Happy trails
As always, great tips on things to have in your RV. Your videos always have excellent information.
OMG you guys are full of it! And I mean that in the BEST way possible! You’re full of fabulous information, thank you for that.
Love the humor! You guys rock!
Wow, I will say , as a part time camper it is a little easier with my Craftsman tool bag with basic quick repair tools and of course fuses. Gorilla tape, heavy wire, electrical tape and basic lubes. You definitely have to have a load when you are traveling with your house. Good stuff . Thanks
Chad you are an inspiration to all of us. You are not afraid to try things and fix them. God bless you and your family. I’m your number one fan! I enjoy your videos
Great video. Love your videos thanks for the information I see a few more things I need to add. Love the outtakes so funny! Safe travels
Good point on the clear tubs. Thx for mentioning.
Informative & entertaining. Plus we need all the diversion we can get during the stay at home orders.
Great information to know for when we leave Japan and get started in our RV. Thank you. Love the bloopers.
Great teamwork! Love your videos - and always on the lookout for Daisy 💕
I really appreciate the videos you've posted, Just getting into purchasing an RV and I've now got an entire checklist and items to purchase and check on the rig. Also I would like to thank you for your service, keep up the good work!
Great job Guys, I'm a tool guy myself, just got a new tool cart last week... Now the best part, filling it with tools!
Great info! I’ve got see thru tubs also, very handy. Stay safe (Covid-19), things are starting to open up! Appreciate your videos!
Thank you for your service!!!
Finally I have met my match!! It’s great to see that there is someone else that is just as prepared as me. I got it from camping with my parents as a kid. Mother and daddy were very prepared for everything in their own areas. Keep up the great videos. Charles and LeAnne
I’m like damn he brought everything from home and it dawned on me it is your home. 🤪👊👍😎 Nice job on the video.
Thanks for the tips. The use of your leaf blower is awesome for fanning campfires.
Boom! Safe travels!
Again good to see you guys. Glad you're doing well. Picking my tools will be like deciding which child stays behind! Be safe and look forward to the next one.. Oh and my wife gets the same look when I start talking about tools..
Just thought I carried everything, you are the man 👍👍👍👍👍👍
We have discovered and been watching you for several months now and absolutely loving you guys . We have been full time since last Oct. and you have been a guru for us..lol.. Our rig is a 2019 Riverstone 39FL . We pull with anF350 dually. I just ordered the viair 400rvs after watching this show. God bless , stay safe and maybe one day we will catch you out on our journeys! We are gate attendants at COE parks on Lake Lanier in Ga. so can’t wait to get back on the road in October after the season. ..Barb
I love your excitement over the tools...like Tara I don't have much interest but your enthusiasm is infectious.
Thanks for this video! We just purchased a new travel trailer and will be heading out as newbies when the lockdown ends. I really needed a concise video like this to get us started.
Hey! We just took a ride to Roan Mountain, Tennessee State Park (it's around 5 miles from us). The park an campground is open. Yay!
This is a great video. I see a few things I need to add to my list of tools in my travel trailer.
And my wife thinks I carry too many tools...LOL. Great list, I be buying more that I saw I "need".
Another great video. I have seen videos showing how much tools had to be left and sold off. But you have a decent amount of tools stored away. Clear bins are what I am getting for my home shop for the very reason you can see inside. Well done! Waving to you guys from Texas as we start to relax our stay at home order.
Awesome video guys, thanks.
We've been selling left and right in preparation of full time! Thanks for the advice:) Don't get me started on the household :) Great Video!! Tonya~
Great job Shipmate! Yes I love doing new projects because I know I'll need a new toy, I mean tool, for it and will always have that tool for later!
Man you are a traveling tool box. We need to park next to you more often......I may want to axe stuff too!!!
Well, let me axe you something.... LOL
First channel on YT where you smash the "THUMBS UP" before even watching the content. Keep up the good work guys, and be safe out there!
Right there with ya Tara. Great video guys
This was a great video for us. We will be downsizing to start RVing in the next year. Now we have an idea what to take with us.
Love using those those drink holders as tiki torches! That is a great idea
Chad you give this moderate handyman confidence. I was surprised you didn’t have a reciprocating saw
You guys are so great! Love the video. Very informative! 👍
I carry a soldering iron too, and a dead blow hammer. Never have to many tools!! Great video Thanks !
Every year or sometimes every trip we add a tool of some sort! One thing we accumulated more then we ever needed is camp chairs. Every group trip we end up with someones left behind chair. At last count we had 15 and were down to 4 until this summer when it will start all over again! Thanks for sharing!👍
I about spit my water out at the bloopers … lol nice video!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Plus the outtake are 🤣
Just wanted to thank you guys for all of your efforts and videos you put out. Just like KYD we watch your videos every Sunday evening and find them just as informative and enjoyable. Your tool collection 😳😍
Thanks again!
Thanks for watching! We're in good company with Marc and Trish!
Great, good to know I have the right stuff. YEAH !! Lowes and Sears, manly places, AR AR, Tool Time!!
Great assortment one thing I have that I don't see is a cordless 1/2 impact .I have Ryobi because I have that battery platform also I have Milwaukee 1/2 impact very high torque .I have severe arthritis and other problems .So impacts make tire changing so easy .Never to many tools .Chad you have the first tool list that impresses me so close to mine almost exactly even leaf blower .My health issue are similar to Tara's you are the reason we are going .Not full time yet to many Dr appt Thanks guys for great video's
Yea.. We need a 1/2 inch impact for the tires for sure!
Enjoyed the video very much as always. Thank you.
Just sub’d, loved this video, future rv’ers here and your videos are very informative, can’t wait to watch the follow up to this one
Welcome to our channel! 😊
Some cool tools! There used to be a Canadian chain called “House of Tools”...nirvana! Hardware stores have always been a fascinating place for me, so much nifty things that I have no idea what they’re for but I’d like them. Thankfully we’re out rich or we’d be overwhelmed with useless bits & bobs🤣. You had a couple that I thought “yeah! That would be cool, er, handy to have”.
Hubs & I have already started planing which tools we’re bringing with us, so far it’s a wood lathe, scroll-saw, planer...and the tools that go with them. We’d pick up local wood & make something from it and there we’d have a souvenir for that place!
Thanks a bunch for putting so much into this list. From one IT Pro to another "You Guys Go Above and Beyond." Without your channel teaching me about GVWR and Max Payload, I would have bought the wrong truck. Also purchased the RVLocks and learned how I could program both passthrough doors and the front door to one key fob.👏👏👏👏👏
Bumblebees are the most docile of all bee types. You would have to do a lot to get one of them to sting you.
Just an fyi, love the videos keep em coming.
Thanks guys for another great video 👍.
Awesome! Safe travels!
We just went full time. You have no idea how much your videos have helped/influenced me! Thanks so much!
Happy to help!
Wow !You guys carry a lot of stuff !
Thanks! Very Helpful! Stay Healthy! Stay Safe!
I like your tool ideas. Many things I hadn't considered. Currently weekend warriors with our new rig. Had to get a larger truck(aka my wifes new F250). She was so happy when she finally found a good starter tool kit today for it. Been looking for awhile for a kit that had a large variety that wouldn't break the bank. Thanxs for the great videos. Going to keep watching and learning.
I used to be a hardcore Dewalt person but I moved over to Ridgid due to the lifetime repair or replacement. Glad I did.
Nice tools! Just got 6pack of clear totes. Now I know where they all go!
WOW snap-on-man can barely stay up with your assortment! Great video! Plain and simple. When you have it you won't need it. When you don't have it, you're going to need it! Thanks GREAT VIDEO SAFE TRAVELS 😎
I'm starting out on my full-time journey this Summer. I can tell we're going to become close friends. You talk at a level I can understand. i"m going to start my SPEED BINGE of your video: preparing for overload now. Thanks both of you
Great video! Thanks for all the info.
Chad & Tara
Great video! I am in the process of planning my full time RV living soon upon retirement. I have been in construction most all my life thus I have made my living with various tools. It's been great hearing your perspective on this matter in order to dwindle down to the necessities needed for the road. I have been following your channel for bout a year now and I must say your videos are both concise and thorough. I have gained much needed knowledge and perspective into your and my soon to be type of life. Thank you for all the great insights your channel has given me. Keep up the great work. I am especially looking forwards to exploring the northwest area of this country. I have been to all but Alaska and Hawaii. The states that have inspired much awe were Washington and Oregon. I am curious if you have done any videos on those areas. Hope to see you out there on the road one day. Lou :)
Great video once again. Very insightful. You can’t have too many tools.
We don’t have enough room to take all the tools that you do. But I do carry Dewalt Air Compressor, Drill, and a good assortment of hand tools! Thanks for the info! You are always helpful!
I have that same tool box and bed cover. 2 must haves that work so well together
Ou, ou, I can’t wait! I desperately need to get those for my truck but I can’t decide on the Tonn cover, 🤔. Was thinking of weather guard for the tool box. 🤔.
Tim the the Toolman Taylor, would be proud.. But, I never saw the most important tool of all, the telescoping magnetic screw, bolt and nut retriever.. and a Navy 100,000 lumens torchlight.. 🤣 Great video.
I'm gonna go broke if I keep watching your videos! So many things on my RV wishlist!
Greetings from Florida
Very informative, thanks for sharing
Stay safe
Love watching your videos, you guys do a great job. I especially love the videos on the bike. look forward to more. thx
Sturgis rides are coming soon! 😊
Tooltime Tara! Great video guys!
Yes!!! Lol.....I have more tools in our Momentum 320G than we do in our garage. Learned our lessons from our prior “Keystone Bullet”. Fingers crossed on this rig.
Something I would suggest is a foldable Little Giant Ladder, I am handicapped and can not get on my roof, I do not have slide covers, I find them irritating! So I used my Little Giant ladder to sweep off my sliders!
