Stunning video Susan. You always seem to make me tear up a little. I will have to see that movie it sounds like a definite message bringer. "Show me how". We don't get a roadmap to navigate this life. It becomes one of exploration of self discovery. Along the way we find what we need , little markers / signs people, to take note of. What we need to let go of & what not to repeat. Life has good bits & hard bits along the way. There will always be that balance of yin & yang. The trick is to embrace them all & not take everything to heart. The harder parts/ the lessons without judgement, over thinking anger & worry. But with an open mind knowing some things just are what they are & learn from it.. What you cant change is out of your hands . You must remember the good parts & let the rest go other wise replays go round & round forever.. I ask my angels and guides to smooth my way and protect me every day. They cant help us unless we ask. Meditation, spiritual healing, nature & seeing the good in everything everywhere no matter how small with a loving heart gets us there.
Oh my....I just watched Eat Pray Love and your words jumped out off the page at me...you are so wise...I had to catch my breath reading what you wrote. Things feel like they are changing beneath my feet...finding yourself can be painful and glorious all at the same time...no matter what age..we never stopped growing....we just have to be honest with ourselves...I am on a learning curve with that but I am making progress! Love to you!
@@LittlePoet Yes every day we get wiser. We grow through good and bad, it makes us learn & change to improve our life then blessings can come our way . Hi this is Annie Stuart I love all your videos they really speak to me on a personal level. Things you say really touch ones heart and soul, and I know exactly what you say is true and how it feels. I am 62 and single and always dream of meeting that perfect man too with romance being very important as well. I really enjoy going tp thrifts stores as well have done for years and gotten so many beautiful things and great bargains. I say if I were a millionaire I still would shop at these lovely stores. This week I got two lovely wall pictures one was of two ladies sitting on a lovely riverside in the country with ducks in the river and lots of flowers in bloom around them. The second one was a small country side house out amongst the woods filled with greenery lots of trees. Both are on the wall now up above my computer in my hobby room. Last week I got some curtains and nice quilt covers as well and they are practically as new. When you mentioned missing your mother after ten years of her passing, it is something you never really get over no matter how much time goes by. My adoptive mother died when I was 16yrs old and I still miss her so very much and cry lots when thinking of her, no one can take the place of a mother ever.I was an only child adopted by Polish couple who came to South Australia Adelaide in 1948 after the war and lived and worked here for the rest of their lives they were proud to be accepted in to this lovely country. So I was raised with that European touch, I feel lucky to have that appreciation of European lifestyle and treasure it always.
You get to see some good old movies and often when you watch a movie for a second or third time you see it differently and can learn more from it. "The mirror has two faces" was a very good movie to see those few years apart as you matured and can see it from many different angles and gain more insight. There is a good movie I would like to recommend it is definitely a sad tear jerker movie, it is called "Imitation of Life" with Lana Turner I first saw it when I was about 8-9yrs old and then in my 20's and later in my 40's again and I have the copy of the video so can watch it more often now but it is really a very sad movie ends in a very sad way, it is something you will never forget. Cheers Annie Stuart, from Adelaide. South Australia,
I wished we lived close together as I would enjoy thrifting with you, just sitting having a cup of tea and chatting. . You warm peoples heart. You inspire.
Susan, I just want you to know that every week you "show me how" to be a better person and find all the hidden beauty out there in this world. Thank you so much for sharing yourself with all of us.
Oh Kathy, you are so sweet.....I am just a reflection of the beautiful souls here....we al work as a team. I just adore you...I would like to think this is a two-way street that I am so grateful to be on!
Beautiful video! You know, I don't think we ever stop missing our moms. Mine has been gone for nearly 40 years and sometimes I find myself wanting to pick up the phone and call her.
As we become the older generation there is so many people we miss . The Holidays the phone calls or maybe having a cup of coffee with them . But you always have Jesus he’s always there what a beautiful comfort.
Gosh, you reminded me of myself! It’s been 23 years since I lost my mom, and I think about her everyday. Like you, sometimes I just start crying missing her. I think we will always miss our sweet moms.
PS When you mentioned your mom I felt our hearts connect. My mom has been gone 6 years as of Feb 6th. I miss her everyday too. She was my best friend. So we walk in the same shoes I truly understand. I have come to the realization when my tears come how much God must love me because he gave me her as my mother. See we have been truly blessed.
What a beautiful thought - I lost my Mom 7 years ago last month - she was my best friend also and though I was so sad after she passed she inspires me everyday. I am blessed and thankful for the way she brought me and my brother up. We both had so many happy days and travels together.
Mine was gone 10 years this past Friday, Feb. 5. Not a day goes by that I dont think of her. We were so lucky to have such a "best friend" like this. oxoxo
You have me sitting here just crying. When you speak and tell a story you just speak from the heart and it touches my soul.I wish I lived near you cause I think we'd be great friends. xoCathy
Love the picture of the little girl. Hope you get a seashell to go with it, then you and your granddaughter can looks at the picture together while listening to the shell. Imagining with grandma can be part of her memories of you, too.

Thank you for another beautiful and thoughtful video Susan. I love your finds and the way you decorate, and your words. When you said two emotions I said love and fear instantly, before you did. So many us have that in common. I lost my dear father on Christmas day and even though I'm 50 something I feel like a frightened little girl without him here. Your home looks so warm and magical. Can’t imagine how wonderful it must look thru the eyes of your grandchildren. I’m sure they will treasure their memories of you.
Hi Susan, I’m new to your channel & I want to let you know how much I’m enjoying it. Todays video was wonderful & I have been going back to enjoy some of the older posts!
Susan, thank you for sharing this beautiful video today. It was especially meaningful to me in many ways, but the beautiful blouse with the pearl buttons was much appreciated. You see, my sister, age 85, died four years ago and wore this exact blouse for many years. It was her favorite purchase back in the 1980's and with special and tender loving care, she wore this blouse just prior to her death in 2017. Just the other day, a beautiful redbird came to my porch and stood looking for the longest time toward my window...turning it's head this way and that and now you give me the blouse reveal. I feel that my sister is reaching out to me from her special place in heaven to give me greetings of love. You chose well with all your beautiful purchases....they were all my favorites! Much love to you and Desi 💗 Bye for now
I miss my mom, too, Susan, even after 20+ years. I don't think that ever changes. I love, "A Walk in the Clouds"; it's one of my all-time favorite movies. Your living space is so cozy and inviting. I'm also feeling very tired by life at times, yet I want to hang around longer. You look wonderful...your hair seems much lighter. Love to you and Desi; stay safe and well! Rosemarie 💖
Missed you last night and am so glad all is well. Thank you for the lovely visits. You show us how to live a beautiful life...just where we are! I am grateful for you and how you warm my heart about life!! 💖
Your video touched my heart today Susan. I looked up the artist Mary Lemon Waller and found some of her paintings are in my little corner of England and her biography was so interesting.. I'm going to watch a Walk in the Clouds this evening.. Thankyou for lifting my spirits... Val
As you know I love your videos. And it just makes my day even more brighter. I’m sending you a hug love prayers and kindness to you and Desi. You are a blessing to so many people in so many ways and I don’t think you really realize that. So here’s to you dear SUSAN.🌹
God loves YOU! Just the way you are! Let him know you want to change! I loved that poem ! and miles to go before I sleep! Ahhh! don't let the devil fool you ! You have much to do before you sleep, your family needs you and we adore you! You have much to offer!
Oh so happy to see this upload. Im just going to bed - it's 11.30pm Sunday night here in Australia. I thought I might not get my Little Poet weekend fix but here we are 🥰 💚
Today is one year since I lost the love of my life, I am so very grateful to him, for he taught me how to love, how to live, And how to still have joy in my life in the midst of my grief🌈💕
I can remember listening to the sounds of the ocean in my grandma's conk shell. I have one that I have shared with my grandchildren and I am sure that your grands would enjoy it too.
I adore red and yellow kitchens...you are finding some treasures for your cheerful kitchen and for you...those hooks! That white lace blouse! That perfect movie (I need to rewatch!) Thank you nother beautiful video. We miss our angels Mamas. Everyday. 👼🌺👼🦋❤️
Susan, just loved today’s post. As always, just special and beautiful. You show us all each week to really just Love Life! To go out there and find the beauty in all things. Thank you for sharing and teaching us each week. Much love to you and sweet Desi.
So happy to see your video this morning. Was worried when it was late in posting. Said prayers that you were safe and hoped maybe you were having such a wonderful time somewhere causing this to post later than normal. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and adventures.
Beautiful items. The lovely thick snowflakes spoke to me today here in Chesapeake Beach Maryland as they softly fell to the ground. The birds chirping and eating their birdseed from the ground and the feeders. Reading the Bible and seeing God’s artistry through the glass. Thanks for sharing Susan and give Desi a hug. 🌹💕❄️🇺🇸
“Show me how” I instantly thought of my granddaughter Ella. She loves to help and to learn. Lots of people say I cannot do it or can you do it for me? Lil Miss Ella always says to me “ Wellie show me how”. Thank you Susan❤️
Hi Susan, lovely to see you this morning in New Zealand 🌷. I was concerned when you didn’t upload yesterday, I so look forward to it. My Mum passed 11 years ago this year and I forget to look for signs, which I am sure she leaves. Today I will look for her. Thank you and big hugs and love to you and Demi ❤️ I am going to watch that movie this week 💐😘
Hi Susan, oh yes, I remember all those designers. The fashions of the 80s were really special. Everything you purchased is so lovely. Thank you for sharing all your finds with us!! Love, Mary❤️🤗❤️
Dearest Little Poet, you bring the sweetest tears to my eyes. Your words are so beautiful! You are so beautiful! Thank you for adding such amazing emotions to my life!
I just love your videos> Thank you for sharing your kind words. My favorite bird is a humming bird. The plates are beautiful. I look forward to your postings every week. It is a blessing please keep posting. It means alot to me we are around the same age. I think we appreciate the simple beautiful thins in life. Much love and appreciation
OH Tammy....I am watching it now...sort of teared up just seeing you and hearing the music...total calm and joy. My mama always used to say " be the star of your own movie...don't be an "extra" ..." and when I watched you at your vanity I thought of that quote. I got to see about 12 of Donna's videos years ago. She taught me to trust your camera and she also taught me that the videos we make are gifts, no matter how humble, they are gifts. You have always been a gift to me, I just share you with about 150,000 other gals, and that's ok! Love always!!! Sues PS: Your home, your dogs...your passion for self-care and coping inspire me every day to hang on!
@@LittlePoet Thank you so much Sues....You're that someone I would love to meet one day. And your mother gave good advice...be the star of your own movie...I like that!!
Oh how Happy I am to see you today. I need to be pulled back into my calm reality with your video. I have unfortunately been at odds with my older brother last two days He only finds criticism, belittling and insult to give to me as help. And it’s strange how I found myself wanting his approval... love, and acceptance. He can reduce my life to basically rubbish, And it turned into a battle. I spent all night composing the most marvelous defense of my character....my accomplishments, my journey and my success. And pushed send. It did not work. When will I learn? I have cried all day with these feelings and now I’m exhausted. But... It’s not the end of the world, nor does his opinions change who I know I am. It Hurts anyway. So I think my own thrift store shopping spree sounds good. Maybe this Weds. And a warm and caring type movie. Love the blouse. It’s just so pretty. Thanks for being here Susan
I so go down the rabbit hole when I watch your videos...like I can't get enough and just keep watching more and more in one sitting! Your outlook on living, your JOY of living and the things in life that make you feel happy, surrounding yourself with the things you love! I get a good feeling when I listen and watch you and I don't know if you even are aware of how you inspire folks to just enjoy our time here. You give messages from your heart and I look forward to each video you put out....thank you....I feel like I've found a friend who makes my life better!!
Susan, you may already know this, but Temple Grandin, the author of "How Animals Make Us Human" has classic Autism. She is fascinating! I met her at an Autism Conference years ago, and was able to have a brief conversation with her. Loved this video, but then again that's so easy to say, because I love your esthetics! 🥰
Today is no different - you always make me smile after a little cry. Hummers and butterflies will always be my favorites. Little Desis' ears perking up at the end, made my heart happy. Love you both.......xoxo
I remember Carol Little. And I Love the movie...A Walk in the Clouds...very meaningful indeed!I lost a very dear girlfriend last week. You remind me a little of her. God Bless...Linda 🙏💕💐
Oh how I loved your message today! All the messages, the uplifting, the beauty, the poignant memories, the poetry, the longing for people who’ve gone on before. Each week I wait for your visual treasures and shared reality, God bless you six ways to Sunday!
I look forward to your videos every week. Thank you for sharing your wonderful thrift store finds. I love the picture of the little girl and the shell. I know your granddaughter will one day love it too.
Hi there, I’m a new subscriber from the UK, I’m a 50 year old lady called Debbie. I am so happy I found your channel, your content is so beautifully presented, you are very beautiful and so inspiring, I love your sense of style and decor. Blessings to you x
Your grandchildren look lovely on the calendar. Have a wonderful week Susan. My Mother died in 1988 at a young age and there are still days that I cry but it is a little sweeter these last few years. I was blessed to have her.💞 Hugs, Donna
I love everything you bought. Keanu!!!!!! My heart jumped a little bit. Lol. It’s funny because I still am learning daily. I keep wondering what I want to be when I grow up. It’s crazy. Loved this. Take care. Much love, Melissa
Keanu!....What is it about that guy that we love so much? He just has that " extra something in that sauce" ...oh that movie!!!!! Have you seen it? I hope you are staying warm and safe...beautiful you...xxoo love always, Sues
Don’t care how our spirits are down, your voice always motivates us and bring our spirits back up, and put a smile on our face again. Thanks to you and desi.
Hello from Maryland! You scored some wonderful treasures thrifting! You bring them back to life! Your videos are so lovely and inspiring! Love to you and Desi! ❤🐾
You have the BEST Thrift Stores ~ what Beautiful finds! The morning my mom passed, a hummingbird came into our yard (we had never seen them in the yard before). And, from that moment on, the hummingbird was my mom's messenger that all was well. It's been almost 6 years since my mom's passing and, like You, sometimes I find myself just crying unexpectedly and profusely. I miss her a great deal, and yet feel she is never far away. Love, Hugs & Joy to You, Susan. Thank You again for a Wonderful video - just made my day :)
You’ll never know how I relate to your videos and what you say. I too, was thrown away by my husband, and hurt deeply. But, seeing you carry on, shows me that there is hope and recovery! There is joy in life! Your beautiful words bring healing to the soul! Thank you for sharing your life with us and sharing Desi. I have a precious terrier named Lucy! I so relate to you. You are an Angel.
Beautiful as always.....your classiness sense of style and just who you are inside always makes me feel so much better listening and watching....thank you for sharing....
You hit the nail on the head when you described the clothing, make-up, and hairstyles of the 80s. I sure miss those days! I love your vintage clothing haul too!
Both those hummingbird plates would look beautiful in a Valentine’s Day display. Those hooks were awesome! Love that print with the little girl listening to the ocean. I remember in the 80’s, I had those white lace blouses with the high necks trimmed with lace and ones with the lace collars! I like that movie A Walk in the Clouds - it is a beautiful story of hope and growth of the spirit. I have been missing my mom so much this week- she passed in 2014. Her love washes over me sometimes and it makes me cry! And other days I feel her presence and it makes me smile! Have a wonderful week, Susan- love to you and Desi! 💕💕💕💕
Have you ever thought about a career in narrating? You are great at it. You are mesmerizing and have the talent to bring things to life. Blessings to you. ❤🦋
Susan , what a lovely and thought inspiring video you shared with us today. So many things to think about. I love that line, show me how. How many times do we refuse to say that out of pride ,or just stubbornly wanting to do it ourselves , when we could simply say “show me how “and have someone teach us. That is so beautiful. You’re not alone I know I miss my mom just randomly at times as well. On my birthday when I don’t get the phone call where she sings happy birthday to me. When I just want to tell her something and she’s not there to tell. Moms are supposed to be there , but she is not. I miss my dad’s bearhugs quite often as well . I’d like to believe they can hear when I talk to them, and I tell them all the time and I miss them and I love them. What a lovely picture for your little granddaughter to enjoy. I appreciate that you shared the history of the painting with us. Just a truly lovely shopping trip, I love how you share your items with us in a way that makes it much better than a typical haul video . I enjoy the stories, the inspiration behind picking each item. How they speak to you and what they say. You’ve given me a lot to think about this week, all very positive and beautiful! Thank you !! ❤️

My Mom has been gone for 24 years and I still cry some days.
Thank you so much for taking us along with you and Desi ,❤ 🥰. Your looking absolutely beautiful

Oh so happy to see this upload. Im just going to bed - it's 11.30pm Sunday night here in Australia. I thought I might not get my Little Poet weekend fix but here we are 🥰 💚
I especially loved those hooks. They would also be lovely in a bathroom to hang towels or a robe.

Oh Susan...thank you for this lovely post on a cold Minnesota morning..I will keep that comment "Show Me How" in my ❤ for a long time.
I lost my mother 32 years ago.. I still cry for my mom. I started crying just typing this. 😂

I’m so glad I found your channel. It’s so beautiful and you are a beautiful soul. I love your decor pieces and home and your words touch my heart👍❤️
Little Desi is so cute with that snow on his snoot. Also made me smile at the end where his little ears kept perking up.
Hi Susan, oh yes, I remember all those designers. The fashions of the 80s were really special. Everything you purchased is so lovely. Thank you for sharing all your finds with us!! Love, Mary❤️🤗❤️

Much love and appreciation
My editing in my latest video was inspired by your editing...thank you! I love the feel of your videos...they remind me of DonnaShorts
Greetings Susan! You are such a beautiful soul and your surroundings certainly reflect that beauty. Love and blessings 🙏❤
Good evening from Ireland love your channel, you always make me smile you are so positive x
Oh how Happy I am to see you today. I need to be pulled back into my calm reality with your video.
I have unfortunately been at odds with my older brother last two days
He only finds criticism, belittling and insult to give to me as help. And it’s strange how I found myself wanting his approval... love, and acceptance. He can reduce my life to basically rubbish,
And it turned into a battle.
Hi there! I loved your thrift store haul! I love the candle holder. I have a family of hummingbirds in my backyard, I just love them!
Good morning Susan & Desi from Pensacola Florida. You look beautiful Susan !!!!
I can’t wait to get my car in a couple weeks so I can thrift shop! There is a calming effect looking at all the treasures.
You and Desi stay warm!

Hi from Tx.
I so love seeing you and Dezi each week. Your videos are so beautiful and I love your thrift store finds. ❤️🙏🏻
"Show Me How" You and the videos you make are showing me how ..... (with tears in my eyes) ❤️

You have a beautiful soul Susan. Thank you for being a light for all of us! You are dearly loved.
So beautiful...EVERYTHING ...!!! This is definitely one of your BEST yet...💜💜💜💜💜💚💚💚💜💜💜💜💜
You always dress so beautifully. You remind me of my mother. Thank you
Hello Susan and Desi... I love you both so much .. God's blessings always 👱♀️🐈🙏💕💕❤
You hit the nail on the head when you described the clothing, make-up, and hairstyles of the 80s. I sure miss those days! I love your vintage clothing haul too!
Susan you and Desi bring such joy💕
Your videos always tear me up, so heartwarming and beautiful!! You are the real deal Susan and have a such a beautiful heart and soul!! Thank you xo
Thank you so much for hanging out with us today! I love your videos.
