  • In this final chapter, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) obtains a 70-year-old message from the time-traveling Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd), in which he informs Marty that he has retired to a small town in the Old West. Marty then finds out that the Doc was murdered shortly after sending the letter. In order to save his friend, Marty will have to travel back in time, disentangle a lovestruck Doc from a local schoolmarm, and repair the DeLorean -- all while avoiding a posse of gunslingers.

He called her "a piece of calico." Calico is the name for the the printed cotton fabric her dress is made from. (It also became slang for a woman in general since men didn't wear that fabric.)

6:26 Reason for Maggie McFlay looking like Lorraine (from Back to the Future wiki)
"Maggie looked like Lorraine Baines McFly, due to actress Lea Thompson playing both roles; this serves the running gag of Marty being knocked unconscious, taken care by a female character played by Thompson, and then waking up scared realizing he is in the "wrong" timeline. Other than that, it is not established that the two characters played by Thompson were directly related.
Writer Bob Gale explained that her looks might simply mean that the McFly men were always attracted to women who looked like Maggie"

    11:48 "Why?"
Because Doc was supposed to meet Clara at the train station when she came into town. When he didn't show, she had to rent a wagon herself in order to get her and her belongings to her home (which we see is pretty far outside of town). Had Emmett been there to meet her, the runaway wagon wouldn't have happened, and the two of them would have met right there by the train. And if Emmett didn't go back to 1885, there still would have been no one to meet her, she would have rented the wagon, and subsequently gone over into the ravine.

Funny note. At some point there were 3 DeLoreans in 1955 - one on which Marty travelled in the first move, another which Marty and Doc used in the second movie, and the 3rd one that Doc hid in 1885.

I LOVE your reactions to EVERYTHING. I've been waiting for this release for a long time! You have the best personality EVER! 3:24 I fell off my chair laughing. "Oh no, they burnt him as a heretic!" Hahaha. You are so adorable. 6:14 Crispin Glover didn't come back for Part 2 or Part 3 (filmed at the same time) because he wanted Michael J Fox type salary (according to Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis) and he was upset about the ending of the OG which he thought should have been more tragic than happy (according to Glover). When he saw Part 2, he was also PISSED that his likeness from the 1st movie was used so extensively without his permission. It was quite the feud. But, the part of Seamus WAS written for Crispin Glover to play. Jeffrey Weissman was the actor who played George in Part 2 (1985 and 2015). In 2015, he was turned upside down so the audience wouldn't realize it wasn't Glover. In 1985, he was only filmed in the background at a distance. Also, your resentment towards Marty is so amusing. I never saw a reactor stick up for Biff (or Buford) against Marty like you did on his behalf with the spittoon, then again when you (brilliantly) caught him in a lie when he said he couldn't keep his eyes off Jennifer and you pointed out his hypocrisy turning his head to look at 2 other hotties while talking to her at the beginning of the OG. Then AGAIN when you got mad at him for blocking Doc and Clara's interaction. 13:20 "F--k off, Marty!" Haha! LOVE IT. 14:37 That's the descendant of Principal Gerald Strickland from 1955 and 1985 including the alternate 1985 in which Marty stole his newspaper and almost got destroyed in a gang shootout. He is U.S. Marshal James Strickland in 1885. 14:54 You nailed it. Yes, "the first frisbee was a pie plate." 15:01: "A piece of calico..." He was being rude. That means "a prostitute." Rest of your reaction was phenomenal I loved it! I love the respect you give to the greatest movie franchise of all time.

All three of the guys at the table in the Saloon were veteran Western actors. Pat Puttnum was in several Westerns, several voiceovers, and played Mr. Haney on the old series "Green Acres". The white-haired fella with the white beard was Harey Carey jr. He was a regular in Westerns with John Wayne (Usually as the young guy). The white-haired guy without a beard was Dub Taylor. We often played a rough but lovable type of guy in a lot of old Westerns.

You haven’t lost the series, just rewatch them. You’ll definitely notice things you missed. Also, I looked some things up: the first lighter is from 1823, and the word “forfeit” is from at least the 1300’s, so the word was not unknown, Tannen was just stupid. 😁

I am sure Back to the Future will still be tops but *I guarantee* you if you watch the trilogy Star Trek II, III, and IV you will feel some Back to the Future vibes! _I guarantee it!_ Star Trek VI too for a very nice coda, but not absolutely necessary.
No need to watch any other Star Trek movies or episodes to prepare if you don't want to. If you wanted to invest more in it and watch more Trek first you could and you'd get even more out of the movies, but you don't have to to still have a great time and get that Back to the Future trilogy feeling!
Back to the Future, Star Treks II - IV, and the original Star Wars Trilogy...some of the tightest most well done movie trilogies ever!
    Best Regards!

In reality, Marty would have had some explaining to do after the Delorean was destroyed by the train. The train would have come to a stop, the authorities would have been called, and there would have been a big investigation. They wouldn't have just left the wreck there on the tracks.
Pat Buttram had one of the most distinctive voices in Hollywood. His best known roll was probably Mr Haney in the 60s sitcom Green Acres. He also cameo'd as the voice of one of the Toon bullets in the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Hi Deasha!🙂Crispin Glover wasn't in "Back to the Future II" either. He was recast do to salary disputes. The guy hanging upside down in the future was another actor with makeup. They used shots of him from the first film for the 1950s scenes. Glover successfully sued them for using his likeness. Kids started calling the invention of the plastic flying disc Frisbee because it reminded them of the Frisbee Pie Plate. The Wham-O founders changed the name to Frisbee after hearing about this. In the alternate 1985 in Back to the Future II, Biff is watching a Clint Eastwood film on TV and he uses the same thing as Marty for a bullet proof vest. Blink and you will miss it.😉Yeah, if you watch all three films, it is a great viewing experience. Great reactions to the final Back to the Future film, Deasha!!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽P.S. - Sorry to hear you were sick.

A love story similar to this one, about time travel, and a woman that was supposed to die. Was in an episode of Star Trek, it sadly has the darker ending with the lady ending up dying again. Clara would later be used in another time travel series of Doctor Who 2012-2015 , she also dies a lot, and through time jumping is saved.

great reaction again. so this Tannen is Biff's great grand father (Beufford) tanned (pronounce B (u) ford) and the marshal of the town was marsshall stricland and he is Principal stricklands Grandfather. IE the referene to remember that word son, discipline never give them an inch (i will pa) that kid was principal striklands dad.
in back to the future 2 alternate timeline when biff was rich, the video talked about how is all started with his great grandfather, bufford the fastsest gun in the west. also. rich biff was watching a "clint Eastwood" movie when marty came in to ask him about the sports almanac. the scene that was on, clint eastwood had put a metal plate on hisself as a bullet prooof vest to which biff siad "the guy's brilliant"
the manure company here was A jones Manure
in 1955 the manure trucks said D Jones
the band that played in the town center was ZZ top
the scene about "even a baby could shoot that"
well in part 2, in 2015 marty saw wild gunman (the 1980s arcade game and was good at it.
the kid says "you mean you have to use your hands??? that's like a baby's toy
maggie and shemus were marty's great great grandparents. or George's Great grandparents. and william (the baby ) was George's grandfather as a newborn.
also thorughtout the series. here in 1885 ther was a place called Strattles horse wagons or something like that in 1955 the car place was Stattler cars ( i might be spellin gthe name wrong
the place that served whicsky, the bar, was the same place that was Lou's cafe (the popular cafe in the 50s) at the beginning of part 1 when marty was on his skateboard, he waved at the women in t Lou's fitness center (named for the lou who owned the cafre) and then later was the cafe 80s in 2015
the clock tower was also prominant and diffrent statges throught out.
the attention to details like these and other things throughtout all three movies is incredible.

Fun Fact- After this movie, there are/were four Deloreans in 1955 within the same week. Delorean 1 is Marty initially going to 1955. Delorean 2 is when Biff goes to give his younger self the almanac. Delorean 3 is Marty and Doc heading back to correct the almanac alternate future. Delorean 4 is sitting in the mine waiting for Marty and 1955 Doc to fix. The most at the same time is three.

6:30 Take a look at this for a moment. This is Hill Valley when it was still a small town. And you know the kinds of things they say about small towns. A small town is a place where a _barber_ who needs a _haircut_ has a _problem._
Yes. A _problem._ Because there's only _one_ barber. _One_ bartender. _One_ stable worker. _One_ owner of the town's general store. One... _blacksmith._ Hang on. Only _one?_ And this is a _horse-and-buggy_ town?
So, then, everyone's probably _been_ to that blacksmith. So then everyone probably knows where his _shop_ is. So it doesn't really make sense for Marty to wander around, _lost,_ like he's in a big _city._

3:16 Now let's just be _realistic_ about this. It's not surprising that Doc Brown died in the past. It's _also_ not surprising that he's buried in this particular _graveyard._ He traveled back to an especially dangerous, unsanitary _time._
I mean, clean, potable water from the tap is a luxury to which _we_ are accustomed; something they didn't _have_ in the old west.
It would've been no surprise if Doc Brown had ended up dead around 1915 to _1925._ Somewhere in _that_ time frame. But he ended up dead not quite a week after he wrote the _letter._ _That_ grabs your eye and commands you to read _more._ What the hell _happened?_

A few other perfect movies you should react to if you haven't seen them yet:
    1 - "The Princess Bride"
Just a perfect movie. Fun, funny, charming, romantic. Great, clever dialogue and probably the best duel in cinematic history. Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge...
2 - "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"
Hard to explain, and I mostly don't want to because I don't want to spoil anything (maybe I need to in order to convince you to watch it, but let's try this way first); it's by Robert Zemeckis, so it has much of the same fun adventurous spirit that permeates BttF... the writing is also similar to BttF in that there's just no fat on it, everything is purposeful, the story is tightly-woven, the characters thoughtfully written including backstories and relationships, it's clever and funny... the effects are brilliant and would be just as impressive today as they were back then. An incredible noir, written in the '80s but set in the '50s... a few notable actors but Bob Hoskins, Mario Mario himself, is the lead.
    3 - "Walk Hard"
John C Reilly is brilliant as he carries the movie. Which is a weird claim, given how STACKED the cast is - Kristen Wiig, Jenna Fischer, Tim Meadows, Margo Martindale, Chris Parnell, John Michael Higgins, Harold Ramis, Paul Rudd, Jack Black - but without JCR's ability to do everything you need from him the movie just wouldn't work. Perfect writing, a phenomenal original soundtrack, a compelling story... highly recommend it.
I could name another at least half-dozen movies that I think are fantastic, that are in my top-10 all-time that I'm very, very confident you'd like (even if not as much as I did), but let's start with just those 3 perfect movies that I honestly think have a shot at getting in your top-10 all-time ("The Princess Bride" I'm just so confident will be top-10 for you).

    "I remember."
"It was an unguarded _moment_ for me. I said I first read it when I was a _little boy._ You pointed out that it was first published about ten _years_ ago, but I read it more like _fifty_ years ago, because _I_ was a _little boy._ Because I'm from the _future."_

In an ideal world - however :
      - Since when has Emmett been able to contain himself verbally and/or emotionally when he's excited about something?
      - This is 1885; Emmett has to construct a machine the size of a barn to create a single ice cube. In terms of travel, steam locomotives (and ships) are cutting-edge technology, and are far from reliable. Don't forget that Marty was incredulous about the existence of a working time machine 100 years later (and IRL we'd still be incredulous 38 years later). It's no wonder Clara would struggle to take Emmett at his word!

23:30 "He just shot Marty. I'm trying to think if Marty had, like, any _metal_ on him that could've _helped_ him but I don't remember having like any..."
Apparently, you're not that familiar with Clint Eastwood. That's okay. I'm not that familiar with him, myself, beyond the _Dirty Harry_ movies, _Paint your Wagon,_ and the "Make my day..." slogan that he made famous, but he was also in a movie called _The Man with No Name_ that this bit directly alludes to.

Delightful reaction to Part 3 and the magnificent series.🤩
In England there is proof time travel and alternate time lines are possible.
Imagine if in Part 2 young Griff stole the DeLorean like Gramps Biff and Griff went back to 1885, meeting his ancestor Buford Tanner as they are so alike. Arriving in 1885, Griff finds Clara before Part 3 events and takes her to England to see the science of the industrial revolution. Griff muscles in on the Griff Colliery (coal mining company) in Nuneaton England since it has his name. That would prevent Doc from meeting Clara. In 1895 the Griff Clara mine was opened and operated till... 1955. It closed the same year time travel was invented allowing the real line to be restored so the Griff Clara mine had to close in 1955. Had these events happened, it would have unraveled the space time continuum and destroyed the entire universe.
When I saw the name "Griff Clara" on an old map and it closed in 1955, laughed and thought Back To The Future.

Yes the McFly's are his father's side his great, great, great grandma looking like Lorraine doesn't make sense. Marty looking like his ancestor is reasonable given it can happen in reality with people. They could have probably gotten Michael J. Foxes real girlfriend at the time to fill that role but I guess they didn't think about that.

Was done to continue the theme of Marty waking up to Lea Thompson and "Writer Bob Gale explained that her looks might simply mean that the McFly men were always attracted to women who looked like Maggie"

      @solrachernandez3389 Рік тому

@@carn9507 yeah that's dumb j mean if this is in the past Lorraine's ancestors would probably exist all they had to do was said that Lorraine's ancestors was someone in town hell she could have been a teachers aid who was meant to help Clara and that's where we saw her

@@solrachernandez3389 - Let's be honest, we're a long way from going for realism at this point in the trilogy - in favour of what TVTropes calls "Rule Of Funny" (if the comedy "Oirish" accents don't give that away, nothing will...). The explanation I read puts it down to the men of the McFly "line" being attracted to a certain "type" - the fact that Lorraine is a brunette whereas Maggie is a redhead is arguably trying to cover the notion that Maggie and Lorraine are not related.
