Peter Jackson's artistic vision of skull island translates so well to PS2, And Chance Thomas creates a whole distinct identity that fits with Howard Shore/James Newton Howard's sound. This game is a masterpiece, it has this sense of adventure and danger. It was a whole other movie but you played it and that was so fun, the cold blue grey aesthetic introduced you to skull island then got into the more lush green and warmer tones the deeper in you went. I'll never forget renting this and the movie with my dad in the early 2000s
Mine too . I remember playing it when I was 10 and 11 years old back in 2006 . The movie was my favorite to watch. Can’t believe it’s been 15 years for this movie
Yeah instead it had those loading screens of the maps. I really love the maps, when I gain some more knowledge about ripping from games I want to try and rip the maps as well as other creatures from both the X-Box 360 and GameCube! I feel like as the nostalgia goes from older to newer the loading screens get worse. GameCube had these awesome cutscenes, X-Box had those loading screens, and the PC had that picture of Kong's face with such god-awful loading times. But yeah the cutscene department did an amazing job with these cutscenes, must have painfully took a long time to create them, only for them to be around 5-15 seconds.
IonicHyperspace I brought an original Xbox and I remember that the Xbox had only loading screen and not the cutscene but I was so happy that it had the cutscenes
This scared me when I was playing in the middle of the night on PS2. Like its scary, the screams, the scary ginormous creatures, surviving the dinosaurs especially the blue ones.
"THERE! That's his lair, it's gotta be!" "Just how would you know that, Denham?" "That's where I'd live if I were king of this island. Hmm, a king. Actually, that's not bad. King...Kong... King Kong! That's got a nice ring to it"
The map of skull island was absolutely awesome. But I do wish they added the dinosaurs from the extended version like ferracutas and other dinosaurs. Even the one that chases Ann the fododon.
Love the direction of the first one. Sets the tone of how it might feel to actually find a place that theoretically shouldn't exist after a dubious search. There's a mystique to the looming land mass but you're suddenly hit with a bad, almost uncanny vibe but it's too late. You *have* to enter this sinister looking place otherwise the journey was all for nothing.
Each progression of the map almost feels like the very cutscene is telling you "you traveled all this way.. you survived this far.. you have seen such strange things.. you survived these terrors.. and its not gonna get any easier where you're gonna be going next.." You really do get the feeling you're far away from home in a way. And that its not gonna get any safer.
Hey KingKong , Thanks for uploading these! I recently used these and credited you in my video for it! I like your content and thank you! Give it a watch if you want!
Yeah, it shows Jack's shock when he gets that clear glimpse of Kong, and gives the player a realization that they're dealing with dinosaurs now. Keep in mind this all happens only a few minutes after being chased off into the jungle. Would be an extremely confusing and stressful situation.
Sometimes I have to wonder if we share DNA with chimpanzees and gorillas.... in fiction do we also share DNA with the mighty 8th wonder of hollow earth or even say gigantopithecus the real life (albeit somewhat smaller) King kong that used to live in Indonesia before the ice age millions of years ago
U forgot to put xbox I played the xbox version but I finished the game on the xbox 360 version the xbox version is better than the xbox 360 change my mind
It's crazy how a fantasy adventure film is responsible for the best movie based game and survival horror games
These are facts
Yes yeah?
Okk?
Oh 100%

If they ever do a remaster, I hope they include these cutscenes. We get to see our journey across the island and everything.
BenHopkins1000 Yeah bro I'd love to see these cutscenes in HD quality!!
Me too
King Kong cutscenes
I still have the 360 version of the game and I’m sorry to say this but they didn’t do the cutscenes in the game
That was my only real complaint of the change from GameCube to Xbox 360 for this game. Why no in between chapter cutscenes?! 😫
This game was my childhood. I miss it.
Lenette Leno the game is on amazon it’s not a bad deal to buy .
This is one of my favorite childhood games, awwwww the memories❗️👍🏼

I loved these cutscenes in the game. It really disappoints me that the Xbox 360 version didn't have them

I was honestly confused when I was watching original Xbox gameplay of the game and it has cutscenes but not the Xbox 360 version

"Jack, what do you think? Think that could catch on?"
The one movie-based game that actually does the film it's based on *justice!*
Lord of the rings the two tower was a great game imo
@@Jack.Martson I've never played that one. But thanks.
@@Jack.Martson the warriors too.
It’s better than the movie imo
@@ogbee9690 Well, 'to each his own' as they say. I personally enjoyed the film AND the game.
The map of skull island was absolutely awesome. But I do wish they added the dinosaurs from the extended version like ferracutas and other dinosaurs. Even the one that chases Ann the fododon.
This kimg kong 2005s skull island was packed with adventure and mystery. Movie and game were definitely ahead of their time
I wish the xbox 360 version kept this, they were really clever
Yeeah?

You fight him with a pet v rex
Looking at these graphics now make me think "Oh god how dated" But then I remember back in the day this looked realistic as fuck
Ami the one that gave me the most nerves the first time I saw her was the Vastatosaurus Rex (1:18)

That brings me back to my childhood memories. When I use got this on PlayStation 2. But since 2016 I rebuy that on Original Xbox
0:11 thunder savage to attack
Honestly this should of been still on the 360
One of my first GamePlays on the Xbox back then! ❤️💫
We need a remaster of this great game
The v rex appear in it own level
I loved the game. But i thought when i was a child, the game was a horror game

I dunno why but I'm getting jumanji vibes watchin this
They should have done a level or post game campaign where you get to either roam skull island as kong or do the whole game again but only as kong
Not All Games Gotta Be Open World
0:02: *"IIIIIIIIIII...OOOOOOOO...IIIII"*
*Kkkkkk Really...*
why all of this cutscene doesn't show up on PC but only show up on PS2?
Actually they appear on PC
Music:James Newton Howard(2005)
Lyrics: Stephen Schwartz
Directed by:Peter Jackson
Why is everyone talking about a remaster?
Is a possibility or what?
This game is funny when you put it in French. Deenosir!
Denossaure i think
