- This is a 2JZ-gte powered KE70 Toyota Corolla that is capable of a 10.2 second pass at Killarney. On high boost with the race ready setup it produces 550Kw. The car was built in Johannesburg by Full Boost Performance. I get the low-down from the owner with the recipe that he has under the hood, we do a few pulls and get some in car footage to excite the senses.

Not with this car, but the body tends to rust on the rear panel at the bottom and around the petrol tank. Other problems you could face is engine mounts. Entire fuel system must be changed. Make sure you get a clutch that can handle the torque.

How long did it take you to start recording when you got in the seat?
I’d feel like a kid in a candy store with my hands behind my back. You have such a respect for cars wragtiwaaa. You share in the philosophy that each car has a different story to tell, the patience, long hours and money that went into something so one off is unspeakable. I’d probably get the same kick outta sitting in that golden oldie than being in a multi million rand car.
I sat down on that immaculate seat, and then I needed to compose myself and gather my thoughts. Looking ahead of me all I could see was that turbo and I knew I was in something special. Each of those cars have immaculate interiors. To be honest I never prepped in this video what I was going to say, these are the words that actually came to my mind in one take. It's a thing of beauty this car. Sounds like nothing I've heard before when boost kicks in.

Thanks man, just trying to bring SA to the world. Which engine do you have in your car and is it stock turbos? On the turbo side in the guard can work almost like how it is in the skylines for interest sake. With a built enclosure around it could be good placement for the air filter.

Hi Jason,
2jz Bell housing was modified to fit the D4D box.
Currently using a Quatermaster twin pack clutch and custom made flywheel.
Gearbox doesn't like high boost. It gets repaired alot. Plan is to fit an M3 6 speed box. We have a Corolla in joburg that make make over 1000hp and the box holds.

Will this engine fit inside the body of a Run X ?
Good question Nqobani, if you were to put this engine in a runx you would have to move the firewall back very far to accommodate the engine and move the dash and seating position it could work. However it would be a very custom job as everything would need to be fabricated because a runx was designed for front wheel drive and the 1jz for rear wheel drive. I hope this helps?

@@nqobaningidi4834 only a pleasure man, if you're looking for power and speed and something that easily fits into your runx you look at the 2ZZ-GE engine as it will run the front wheels. Has a nice high rpm limit 8200rpm and can do around 240kph. It will drop into your runx with minor modifications. Motor and gearbox will be needed as well as an updated ECU to handle the Lift.
A stainless steel 63mm exhaust system and a nice induction system with a lightened flywheel and stage 1.5 clutch from clutch masters or an exedy clutch and you'll have aot of fun.

If think crown gearbox can handle it your other option is a mk4 supra auto box but I don't know how expensive that is. You could also try the gearbox from a Lexus IS 300 which has an N/A 2JZ.

@@wajahatkhan6968 then your other option is to look at a Cressida gearbox. 21R is the code. That's the manual ones code. Cressida had an automatic version as well for the 3.0liter straight six engine. I don't know the code though. That's as far as my knowledge goes but it could only be a 4 speed automatic.
