- This time we get the chance to see what a 1983 Toyota Corolla with a 1UZ engine swap feels like. This car belongs to Chris and like the Corolla in part 1 is in an absolute immaculate condition with regards to the paintwork and interior (not a thread out of place). I talk a bit of nonsense and then Chris gives us a quick low-down of the car with one or two surprises.

What I love most about these builds are that they are done with pure passion and love. Kept completely original and the engine swaps are done to the T. Not even the cluster was changed on this one.
It's something I think we all can appreciate, a good condition car with a powerhouse under the bonnet. True definition of a sleeper this car. 💯✔️

By running it on a standalone engine management system and using that bespoke harness to trigger signals to the engine.

Why's the intake so skinny? I'm not really too much of a car guy, but doesn't that restrict flow? Does the engine breath properly? Be interested to hear from some of you who are knowledgeable
I totally get you, what you're saying does make sense.
The reason for this intake is widely to do with the space in the engine bay and I guess after dropping such a huge engine in there is not much space left. However, given that the motor was tuned with this intake on and the fact that the stock airbox was much more restrictive than this one the motor will react just fine.

No problem it's sorted in the next video, still getting used to the talking part but the gains have been adjusted on the voice audio side. Also just a question for research, do you watch with a headset or audio speakers?
That's a fantastic build! What ECU are you running on that? If it's Toyota, do you have supplier details?

@@starsstripes990 hey man, so I asked around and not only the bumpers but the L shaped brackets are super hard to find here. Other countries that also got them would be Indonesia/Philippines so that would also be a good place to look.

My dream project. KE70 with a 1UZFE
I think it's a lot of fun because the KE70 chassis is so light.
Only issue is the diff we use the tolla diff from Toyota venture

@@user2917 I see lexus IS 200 going for around 60 000 still yes. Hopefully the price comes down abit more in the coming months.
Nice clean rolla what other brake system can one use o such a conversion if you don't have the money for that type of brake system and what Radiator do you recommend for such a conversion keep up the good work
Thanks so much, for such power a powerbrake system could work, EBC brakes make good products and then there is brembo as well. I could feel how well the 6 pot Vari brakes work though. Any aluminum dual core radiator should be able to handle a big engine like that based on if the size is correct for your application.

1uz engine, mounts fabricated, headers, bellhousing. m75 diff. Your fuel tank needs to be converted to fuel injection and then management system and loom needs to be wired up. You'll need the 1uz starter as well.

@@adampandit4326 most ZE setups the supercharger gets ditched for a turbo setup but I'll search around and see what I can find. But I don't want to make any promises.🤲🤝
