I never comment on things wrong but just for anyone out there. The wood furring strips are not decay resistant and to close to the ground they will rot. Some of the fasteners are not corrosion resistant drywall screws. Not a good install guide video.

Have to agree. Hoping that most installers would know to leave a gap or use a composite corrugated runner at the base of the rain screen… good for keeping insects from residing in the gap.
If it can’t get dry, it’s gonna die.
