When i was a loose natural, i always did wash and gos on slightly damp hair and used to get great results, but never saw any other influencer do it, they always said saturate your hair. So this is great to see.
Yes. I think after all the talk of working on wet hair, you just assume that’s the best way to do your hair. For certain styles I still work on wet hair.

You look amazing in a middle part! But that sidepart is flattering! When i did do wash n gos my go to would be the olive oil eco styler gel, and the shingling method. Always with the bang since my hair shrinks ALOT. so I'll just stretch the sides and top and a little of the bang.
Favorite WNG products are Miche Beauty’s Set Foam and their Tropical Oasis gel. My go to. I just purchased Ecoslay’s new gel. It hasn’t arrived yet. Can’t wait to try it. I heard it has more hold so it will last longer. In my experience foams and mousses gives me volume but don’t last (shrinks up and gets more puffy) for the 7 days. This is why I like a gel and mousse together. I like your side part. Though it doesn’t matter, both look nice.

I love doing dry/damp wng’s. They last so much longer and are more defined. I’m sections I usually do a spritz or 2 of water then apply leave in then gel or foam. I absolutely love doing this with The Doux Bee Girl. My hair lasts so long and dries really fast and the definition is crazy.

Welcome back!!!! I missed you so much!!! Gorgeous wash and go and refresh!!!!😍😍😘😘. My go to wash and go product is a cream styler: African Pride Moisture Miracle Curling Cream. I get 2 weeks of defined, moisturized curls easily.

I can’t wait to try this, less water just makes so much more sense and it seems like a much faster method. I recently discovered another way to detangle before washing and shorten my wash day. I’ve always used conditioner or pre-poo but decided to just use shampoo instead. As long as it’s a shampoo with slip, works just as well as conditioner or pre-poo.
It really just depends on my mood and what my hair needs. Sometimes I'll do a dry wash n go if I want the definition without as much shrinkage and Ill just use gel. If im more focused on moisture Ill wash it and ill just use 2 leave in conditioners and oil or a creme. Then stretch it with the blow dryer. Ill use mousse sometimes but I haven't bee. Lately.
The doux mousses work best on damp hair so I’m not surprised how well this works for you. Question? Do you feel a buildup over time? I have to clarify more often because those moisturizing shampoos don’t get the buildup from that mousse. I think it’s because it has PVP in it.

I’ve used mousse pretty much since I started wearing a wash and go in 2003. I rake my hair. I apply it in sections to make sure every strand is covered. I touch up my hair almost every day though.
This is such a good idea I’m gonna try this ! Do you have a hard cast with the doux mouse ? An apprehension I have with things like the doux mousse, Miche tropical oasis gel or jello shot by eco slay is that it may give me a hard cast
I have reviews for those other gels if you haven’t seen them. Type the name of the gel with my name Hazel goddesss in the search bar. I believe they both gave me a crunchy cast! I do get a cast with the Doux Mousses but it goes away as I sleep on it. Or if I want to loosen it up faster I LIGHTLY mist my hair with water after it is already dried

Yes! It’s so easy to refresh by just adding a little more mousse to the frizzy curls. And yes. The water in the mousse is definitely enough
