Fujinomiya Exit of Mt. Fuji is the highest at 2,400m above sea level at the fifth station. It is the shortest route to the summit among the climbing courses on Mt. It is the shortest distance to the 3,776-meter-high Kenganbō (Sword Peak) at the summit of Mt.
Fuji's southern slope (Shizuoka Prefecture side) and is the second most popular route after the Yoshida Route. Approximately 2.50% of climbers use this route.

There are four climbing routes to the summit of Mt.
(1) Yoshida Route. Fuji Subaru Line Fifth Station
(2)Subashiri-route: Subashiri-route: Subashiguchi 5th station
(3)Gotemba Route. Gotemba-guchi new fifth station
(4)Fujinomiya Route: Fujinomiya-guchi fifth station
This time, we climbed from the fifth station of the Yoshida Route, Fuji Subaru Line (1), which is relatively easy for beginners to climb.
🗻What I noticed after climbing
Due to the risk of altitude sickness, it is recommended to spend a night at the fifth station to acclimatize before summiting.
There is no running water on Mt.
In addition, there are no springs or wells on the trails of Mt.
The hand-washing water in mountain huts and toilets is not suitable for drinking, as it is made from accumulated rainwater.
Therefore, it is necessary to always have drinking water available when climbing Mt.

Thanks so much for this; I was able to relive our climb. Same trail, just a day earlier than yours. It was not the summit moment that I wanted (I fell ill), but I am still glad that I made it. I hope to climb the mountain again via the Yoshida Trail in the summer of 2025.

Well done! I did this too a few years ago. It was amazing. I caught the bus in the same way you did. I didn’t plan to actually climb it all though. The plan was simply to walk up a little. However I just kept walking. 😂

Again very impressive. In the past, I also hiked up and in the mountains. Today, with a bad knee, that's unfortunately no longer possible. I liked the route they ran back then better. And the view from the mountain is really breathtaking. To climb the mountain with a fear of heights, I find very brave.

Itsukasan - congratulations on completing your ascent and descent of Mount Fuji again this year. I climbed on the Fujinomiya route myself a few weeks ago, so this was very nostalgic. It seems that you enjoy climbing mountains! Will you climb more of them? I also climbed Kitadake about 1 week ago. It was very difficult, but very rewarding. Japan is full of beautiful mountains.

I’ll never forget your Fuji trek last year, I honestly thought the routes up to the top were smoothed out gravel for safe climbing, boy was I WRONG!! It’s equally amazing the older Japanese citizens going up and down like it’s Shibuya Crossing. We are all greatful Itsuka made it safely!!🗻😊

I agree with your comment in the video not to pack too much for the climb. Many UA-camrs say “bring lots of water as it’s expensive on Mt. Fuji” but I say “no, it is too heavy to carry, just buy water at the stations on the way up. Better to pay a few extra dollars than lug heavy water up the mountain.”
