I can definitely relate to getting in the wrong car and talking to thin air. The professor though oh my gosh must’ve been so awkward for you

I don’t know how many stories I have like you. One time I walked into the girl’s room. I lucked out that no one was there, but my luck ran out when the lunch bell rang.

I can totally relate to many of these stories. I agree that ppl should just tell us when we aren't doing something properly to save us the embarrassment...like with your work Zoom meetings.

I’m blind, my husband and I like to visit Philly because he went to college there. One year while visiting I told him I wanted to go to the love park. Its a smallish size park inside the city that has a literal “love” sign you can take a photo near. I’d never been there before but was excited to see when we got there that they were having some sort of little festival with vendor’s selling stuff they’ve made. So we stand in a short line of people to get our picture with the sign and then from there walk around to check out peoples items. Anyway so we take the picture and behind the sign is where all the vendors were set up. I have zero depth perception so stairs or levels of any kind I can’t see unless they are different colors, its just a flat surface. So once we take our picture I spin around and start to walk toward the booths . Next thing I know I fall six feet down. My husband was looking at our picture and hadn’t even noticed I had turned to walk away. Apparently, everyone in my general vicinity gasped and ran over to me. Luckily, I wasn’t hurt but I was so embarrassed, I just started to laugh hysterically. Needless to say i didn’t stick around to see the vendors. I ran away with my husband because I wanted to die of embarrassment.

I’m sorry that happened to you. I one time fell down a flight of concrete steps because of my lack of depth perception, it just looked like a sidewalk to me

Ray XD JUST SING DANG IT lmao.
I've also had weird things said to me regarding my visual impairment. My brother is religious and is now a pastor and he asked to pray for me at church and that he has been praying for me etc. I've had random people say stuff like "Great job" while walking down the street during my O&M lessons. I think the sunglasses make them think I can't see at all lol, but still I'm literally just walking. XD A woman helped me cross the street once and afterward she said "You're a good person" ....Ok.....

I can't tell you how many times I went in to a gas station to buy something to eat and get a drink and come back out and get into the wrong car. Now it's funny to talk about. I laughed out loud when you said something about getting into the wrong car.

Oh, the car thing… I’ve had a few experiences with that, but the most memorable was one night when my dad was picking me up and I was a teenager. My dad had a pretty distinctive small pick up truck with a camper shell, so it was pretty darn easy for me to recognize. even with my being legally blind. Well, this one night, there was a small pick up truck with a camper shell that looked identical to his, parked in the approximate location I was expecting him. I walked up, opened the passenger door, which was unlocked, saw a man sitting in the driver seat… just as I started to get in, I realized that this guy didn’t quite look like my dad. I slammed the door and took off, and I found my dad a short distance away. I will never know if this other guy in the nearly identical truck was just coincidentally sitting there with the passenger door unlocked waiting for someone else, or if there were any nefarious intentions, but I’m just glad I was able to realize it was the wrong vehicle before it was too late.

I’m glad everything turned out alright. You know it’s funny because I think this may occasionally happen to sighted people. I’ve actually been on the receiving end of this kind of situation. I was in the passenger seat of our car and my husband had run in somewhere to pick up something, and while I was waiting a woman opened his driver side door and then yelled “oh shit!“ And then shut the door lol

I saved you in reserve knew you had two videos on here I hadn’t seen and I said to myself after having an incredibly bad conversation with the bank for 38 minutes and I had to explain to them I was blind over 10 times I said I need to see what her most recent video that I haven’t seen is about. Thank you so much whenever I feel bad about myself and things I have to endure. I look at one of your videos and realize I am not wandering through this life alone, and in the darkness. Thank you so much I appreciate your comments. Take care, I love your stuff. See you again soon see you :-) I love that.

Thank you so much for this comment! I’m so glad to know my videos provide some comfort to you. And what’s such a coincidence is I was having a pretty bad day today and open this app to see if there were any comments that might cheer me up and yours was the first one I saw. So looks like the comfort went both ways ❤️❤️

@@CaylawithaC thank you you made my day. I posted my problem on my Facebook page and so far 50 people approximately. I’ve read about what I went through and said it’s unbelievable. I left a message to have the bank call me back but I’m not holding my breath. It’s just incredible how stupid some people can be. I think people lose hearing when you tell them what you need to make your life work. I love when people think for me and they think they know the best thing for me when they’re not me. Family at times can be helpful, but they can also lead to your demise as far as looking like a jerk :-) thank you so much keep up the good work I’m saving your videos above this one in reserve from my next rotten day wishing you the best take care :-)

there was this one time that we had gone to the store, and my sister-in-law tells me when we got out of the store that there was another car that was on the right of us and our truck was on the left and I was trying to open the car that was on the right, and I never answered until my sister-in-law told me our truck is over here on the left and I just started laughing

Is it called Tell Me More? You may be right - I think it’s Summer Loving. And I don’t do karaoke anymore for that reason - I think I know the words, but I really don’t.

I remeber that I could not find my seat with everyone of my class 2008 on middle school and I would seat with other who I did not know. I can remeber my freshman on high school on homeroom and I thought that I write my response on question on my notebook. I did not write it all, and I felt if I need to do. I can remeber yesterday on metro by wishilre that person was help me to tab my access card to take train, but I did not realize that my California ID and old debt card was not on my wallet
