Holy crap I almost had a heart attack with that intro! I thought he really got bit! I watch several youtubers that deal with venomous snakes and I’m always waiting for the day one of them gets a bite. One guy already lost the tip of a finger to a king cobra. Well the venom not the snake itself.
@@madelinegarber7860 I’ll watch both ^_^ honestly I thought channler was annoying at first. But the older he got, I got more of a feeling of Steve Erwin from him ^-^
Snake: **Spits to keep him away** "Uh...okay lemme try again." **spits again** "WHY ISNT IT WORKING?!" **spits another time** "This creature is annoying, get away from me!" **continues spitting over and over again**
Risking his life with 2 protective face shields, a snake bite protective glove, and a medical team? This guy is safer than most people crossing a busy road 🤣
I'm surprised at how liberal it is being with the spitting. You'd think that it would be expensive in terms of energy to make, leading to a spit once and flee strategy... But no, it was blasting that stuff like an 80s action hero with a machine gun.
A snake's not going to be able to outrun or hide from a leopard on open ground, so unless there's a hole nearby its best option is probably to stand its ground and try to send the leopard packing.
It should be noted that a pressure bandage, as shown here, is only recommended for snakes that use neurotoxin venom in order to slow the spread. These are usually elapids like mambas and cobras. They will have oval heads and eyes. If the snake has a venom that will cause localized damage to tissue then a pressure bandage will cause more damage. Even for elapids, a pressure bandage is a bit disputed.
@@flowers2734 as correctly mentioned by @vegetablemigraine, any bite containing cytotoxic venom should never receive a pressure bandage as it will keep the incredibly potent cytotoxin of this species locally contained and will most definitely cause incredibly severe damage to the tissue of the bite site(so severe amputations are not uncommon with naja mossambica). The neurotoxic element of their venom can only be managed on site by keeping the bite site non elevated below the level of your heart to ensure a sustained spread to ones heart. The action immediately would be to stay calm, limit movement of the limb that was bitten and be driven by someone to a hospital as quickly as possible. Symptoms will always be treated symptomatically first before antivenin is administered. One of my good friends bitten by this species received all the correct treatment, antevenin and was even at the hospital within 20mins of the bite and still was in a coma for 2 days. Bite symptoms affect is all very differently but same protocols are followed and assessed on am individual basis. Sorry for the long message, hope that assists with your question a bit🙏🏼

There is a video on youtube with a guy that has injected himself with snake venom for over 30 years. It is incredible what this guy can take without needing medical care. I just wonder if it was a spitting cobra bite. Would he survive? Can you get used to the venom in case you were working with snakes?
